  1. I was actually thinking the same thing. Very well put.
  2. I think that article is hinting to the LB48H as the last hoorah based on the Aventador.
  3. I am planning on logging some serious miles on mine. No point in buying and speculating on later value, I want to enjoy it with my family.
  4. Love this!! The color is actually pretty rad too, the SVJ looks really good in these gold tones.
  5. I think it'll actually look really good as long as you don't do red centerlocks and calipers. For some reason that just seems to throw it off on the blue /bronzes I've seen so far. I did see a Perf in blue with bronze wheels and orange calipers, looked great.
  6. Can’t believe the acceleration wasn’t faster than that. Seemed like quite a bit of wheel spin as you mentioned.
  7. I noticed this a few weeks ago. Funny thing is I think if you order an AP color it just turns it to black. My calipers were AP as well but those show up as verde fauns - we had to spec all the details in that color then notate that it was custom to match the exterior. Just want to see a picture of the actual car already! lol
  8. I have a feeling we'll start hearing a lot more of that as people get them delivered. With the test track for journalists being newly paved, nobody really had that much interesting feedback on it. Real world driving experience is what I was most excited to hear. I got word that my car is now finished, should be here by the end of the month. The suspense is killing me!
  9. watched this last night with my son, first real street driving review I've seen. Loved it!
  10. I tend to agree, though if they later switch it to 900 total it’ll definitely change the game. I do think you’ll lose a lot less on the specialty models vs standard though - SV and Perf have held fairly strong compared to their standard variants. Did your dealer tell tell you when your allocation would be delivered if you decided to move forward?
  11. In the US it's just been first come first serve as far as I'm aware - I put my SVJ deposit down as soon as I heard rumors of it. I've also got the first customer spec on the AV successor (with my dealer) as well.
  12. Fwiw I think AP custom color interior and Exterior ended up costing around $30k total - that includes calipers and footplates. If he did free colors, no SVJ logo, stock wheels, no travel kit, fire extinguisher or a few other little things I could see it getting to $581. Black does look really good - always has on Lambos imo.
  13. Beautiful car Madd0g! Love the little touches to it as well. Looks like another SVJ popped up for sale - They are asking $709k. https://www.hgreglux.com/used-car/lamborghini-aventador-2019-for-sale-6749 Hopefully around the middle of next month, I can't wait either!
  14. We have the same dealer - mine is the one in production now. I don't think they know for sure on the 900 either way - nobody really does and with the allocation of 4 (total) per US dealer the numbers make sense for them to actually be combined. Time will tell though.
  15. I think he said it was to make room for some new cars. I would have def kept the La Ferarris, those things are stunning. 6.1 and still going for the Aperta is straight bananas though.
  16. I’ll post some photos of mine once permits are issued and we can start building. I’m hoping to take @Fortis‘s ‘House Boss’ title with this one.
  17. I asked my dealer to request the factory send pics of mine in production as I wasn’t told when it was starting til the weekend before. Has anyone successfully gotten photos of theirs in being built? man I am stoked for this thing.
  18. Just got the confirmation - my car will be on the line next Tuesday! Sounds like it's all sort of a toss up right now as to how many are made but feel like they are pulling back from that original 900 after all the grumblings of over-production. I personally hope they drop the quantities but I guess only time will tell. Being able to announce it's sold out will definitely help.
  19. How are they scaling back to 500 when the plaques on the first cars say 1 of 900? Is this Murci SV style where they are making less than what it was originally limited to? @VCR is this what you were eluding to a while back before the SVJ launched - lower production numbers that would still benefit the SV? The original numbers quoted definitely helped the SV maintain it's value better as it was seen as more limited - if they actually only make 500 SVJs then it benefits both, exactly as you stated. Was this the plan all along?
  20. This is really interesting - I had always assumed ther Terzo and LB48H we’re along the same design lines - hearing its more towards the Countach is news to me. I do agree though, I have a feeling the replacement will base a lot of its final tech on the LB48H feedback. If they aren’t changing the chassis the ISR is here to stay. I like it so that’s cool with me lol
  21. Watched the Car Community video on YouTube about it, so good. They got some great shots in the rain too.
  22. How were you able to give a config code without the roadster builder being up on the site? My line of thought is basically the same as yours - I don't want to lose a ton on it. The way I've specced mine (and how soon it'll be here) I believe I could flip it if I wanted but I don't intend to - it's a very special car. One reason I didn't go with a roadster is that you are actually getting close to the release of the replacement by the time you get the car - that would personally make me nervous. SVs held well until the SVJ was announced - I'd imagine you'll see the biggest drop in the SVJ when the new model is close. There may be something to be said about it being the last full NA v12 but tbh I think many Lambo buyers just want the latest and greatest. Lambo has continuously proven that they know how to design cars we all drool over, I would expect the replacement to be nothing short of insanity.
  23. My wife's 6 series actually had it too now that I think about it. I feel like it's more noticeable in the AV because the car felt SO big before - now you can u-turn on a side street without looking like Austin Powers.
