  1. stance ****, i hate that shit
  2. "the cloud" lol "personal cloud" bigger lol As soon as you say personal cloud, it translates to NAS with a buggy interface from a vendor. The transfer times get sluggish compared to just mapping a network drive and copying over. WD made me return their device after three hours of copying 50gb worth of files and it choking on a single 10gb movie, locking up my 'puter and corrupting the file on the NAS's end. I attached a NAS from Buffalo and Qnap and I also have an SSD in an external USB case directly on my router.
  3. NC for being on a flight to clip jet noise is one thing, but i don't like them for audio. You get a numbing effect, but it helps cut fatigue.
  4. noise cancelling are almost never good on me, tell me, do these give your ear that numb feeling like you spent the day at the beach and are listening to everyone through tin cans?
  5. well done, looks like a good first day out
  6. Next time, i'll wear my Lpower t-shirt. Don't be a stranger, come up, say hi, buy me a whisky
  7. This week we were not delayed by a motorcycle, but rather this time it was lunch choices.
  8. what a legend. that voice, he really brought something special
  9. wow dude. went from man cave to car nirvana. well doneQ
  10. Leveraging mainly Instagram, has been useful in getting bookings for my photography stuff, but aside from that it is all like has been said, faux-rich, the tea that is an mlm and makes you poop, and dreadful motivational shit. Social media is public masturbation
  11. And that damned motorcyclist... But it was a nice sunny day.
  12. yeah, but bitcoin is making the surge in the space viable
  13. Because of this spike about jobs have been created. I am seeing massive surges in jobs come through my inbox for "blockchain" and all the positions that go with start ups jumping in to the space. I got an email this morning looking for a "blockchain engineer" with 3 years experience in the $200k range. The average range now is $130-200k for these positions on 3 years experience.
  14. I travel with a DAC/AMP from Fiio for mobile listening. Lossless file size... net neutrality repeal... premium isp service fees on top of service fees and file purchases.... insert political argument here
  15. bump subscribe, as I am not too far away. Actually go to the wash shop there on Ventura across from World Market. They previously had a mobile service.
  16. Spotify is more social, and the quality is better for sure. Plus I Shazam things and they show up in Spotify. Also the car integration is better for Spotify and I can remotely get speakers to play Spotify. Anecdote: Every Thanksgiving I listen to "Alice's Restaurant Masacree" as part of an old family tradition. Two years ago I was recovering at my mother's home after knee surgery. Across town at my home, my buddy just flew in from Ireland and he was dead tired. I could not sleep, I was in pain, so I went to play the song. I had no idea that the speakers I chose to default play were the ones at my home. I kept cranking the volume up in bursts. My poor friend was freaked out by the music randomly playing, in bits. My speaker install is stealth, so he could not figure our where these notes where coming from, he thought he was being home invaded, then thought he was hallucinating from jetlag/exhaustion.
  17. Doubling down on this one Molly's Game: Supposed true story about failed skier turned poker hostess that won't rat out her players. More gripping than the Post with Streep thanks to Sorkin, but it is barely an HBO Saturday afternoon worthy flick. Shape of Water: 2+ hours of a mute woman seducing the creature from the black lagoon. Add in commie spies and evil g-men, and then multiple graphic love scenes with a slimy creature, and you have this ode to 1950's films. I am binge-ing awards season screeners
  18. The funny bits in the trailer were not in the movie. Cliffs: Maaaaatttt Daaaaamuuun and his wife are broke, the new thing is to get shrunk, only he goes through with it, the next 90 minutes is basically watching a sad divorced man and some creepy but funny Christoph Waltz moments. Damon's love interest has a horrible (but accurate) speech pattern, but rather than being endearing it makes me want to scramble some B52s over ho chi minh city one more time. I am binge-ing awards season screeners
  19. One of the lamest movies I have seen. I never felt any drama or pressure that must have happened during that tense time. It is as if Spielberg was on the phone while a third string film student directed it. I am binge-ing awards season screeners
  20. I have seen some insurance fires for the sake of remodeling, but insurance farming? That sounds like a lot of work. Actually, it's Roman's nightmare, my wet dream, fcuk avocados. Not like that, I just think the texture is so gross, I immediately gag.
  21. I have a plate that readers have a hard time with. Even cops roll up on me and run my plates to make sure they are real. It's perfectly legal, but throws some old systems for a loop. I have tried some 3M tapes, as a matter of fact it came with some, and the stuff I saw online in little strips on Amazon failed for me, but I may try one of those listed alternatives.
  22. Roads are not always straight, so it has fallen into my HUD a few times, and with the windshield coating, it really has to be up on the glass. I have tried crazy glue and it failed. next test is rough up the plastic and try hot glue. I have this beast: 2.5" x 3"
