  1. That's a nice touch. If Ferrari did it, they'd have massive logos, if Porsche did it there would be a 911 version that requires a $9k premium air package.
  2. Doing things for "exposure" is pretty stupid. You are totally right, when sales dip next time, they will show up and maybe the shady-as-fk dealers will pay for booth time. I'm not a doctor, but I think you'll live if you never see another exotic. I get more excited seeing a Z4M coupe, they made 2500 of those for the world, never see them.
  3. Mclaren won't survive a VC. Any VC going near them are vultures. What may survive is what was there before, a tuner shop or at minimum a parts desk with a guy spray painting bilsteins orange before slapping mclaren decals on them. Sometime in the future: I present to you the Toyota Mclaren Corolla Mclaren SLR Mclaren...
  4. Shows are expensive and don't have the ROI of dealer-hosted private events where you feel like a person and not just a drooling meatsack. If you want the attention for having a car or standing on the other side of the velvet rope in front of the commoners, that's on you. (not you specifically, obvs) It is not alienating from potential customers, it is knowing your customer. There are other brands that are everywhere, the lease queens with down-syndrome, a low down payment drives a mclaren off the lot right now like damned camry.
  5. yeah, that could cause tears in flesh along the seams as well.
  6. Most sites make the Onion look factual. News is a product,
  7. Somebody will pull a Lotus and slap their name on a car by way of stickers and become a licensing brand. Like the Isuzu Impulse of the late 80's that was "tuned by Lotus" or the Mustang ASC Mclaren. Mazda and Mitsu have been circling the drain for a minute. Whatever happens, it is going to be a slow death. Lexus is kind of screwed along with Infiniti where their brand went old man luxobarge to 20 year old kid shot tuner car.
  8. So it is probably hardwired or soldered on. There are three conventional SIM sizes: full, mico, nano. ATT sells one that you can use that has all three sizes you break odd what you don't need. I do the unlimited hotspot wifi puck thing, so i have some familiarity, but do come across devices that have an onboard, unchangeable SIM
  9. IIRC VRAlexander and Al were friends. I want to say VR mentioned something about them doing some clutches or something and that is how it all began for him.
  10. I actually saw them on Craigslist years ago when I was looking for giant jenga and other large games for house parties.
  11. those "touches" are pretty rancid. "Oevil man" in poor hot-rodder-in-the-midwest script is laughable
  12. I asked Bob about LeMans, and all that, when I went there last year. He didn't have much to say, then the topic quickly changed to it being my birthday and and I never got the story. The problem I had with the movie was the kind nature they painted Carroll and Ken to be in. I have heard nothing but the contrary.
  13. still too Porsche in the front and Audi in the rear for my taste, but I love the profile
  14. Sometimes you get little tidbits in videos, but you have to sit through a lot. This critique brought to you by Anson Belt & Buckle. (I am a customer because of MF, and my fat a**)
  15. nvm, i had to watch it a few times, i sort of tuned out at the facilities talk, and it somehow made me forget them talking about the car at all before that.
  16. I see the Porsche from the front, Audi in the rear. It irks me a little. I see both quite often to where the Bentayga just seems to blend in these days.
  17. i have not seen a luminous wrap before, so I was wondering if it was an EL panel or Lumilor paint
