  1. A life lost too soon. Rest in Peace man. Makes you put things into perspective. I pray his family finds peace.
  2. God, RIP. I just don't get it, is it really worth it? I know we all like to have fun and sling a car around, but is this type of driving worth it? Do people really think they are that good, that invincible? Sad.
  3. Consignment car. Sticker is 342k, He wants 365k. I am sure it is negotiable to an extent. There is a void of new cars available, and most of the new car dealers I have spoken to are selling pre owned cars for north of MSRP, if it is the right car. For whatever that is worth. This one is pretty legit, and I am dying that we don't own it and I can't drive it
  4. The only thing that would worry me about paying for the pipe would be the precedent you set going forward. I understand the "its only 1500, its a blessing pay it and move on", but that sets the tone going forward.
  5. We have a Performance package coupe. 342k MSRP. 2018 McLaren 720S Performance
  6. Love it, always been a fan of that car.
  7. I treat everyone the same, and I ensure that our sales people do as well. We are often treated poorly, lied to, scammed, et al, but we have to keep going. One of my very first car sales was to a person that no one would speak to, and I was the only guy that would. That said, I give every single person the benefit of the doubt, and treat everyone as if they are a buyer. This is always a tough subject, and I am finding that California has a very diverse clientele, which would make pre-judging people almost impossible, and maybe that is a good thing. I am sorry to hear about the OP's experience, that is a shame and isn't how it should be. Isn't that the same place that owns Lamborghini North LA?
  8. Do a 27.5 Plus bike. That is what the Habit is, as well as the Trek Remedy I think. 27.5 wheel, 3" tire. Point and shoot.
  9. Have you considered Yeti?
  10. My buddies sister was the rep for Intense up until a week or so ago. I would steer clear of them for a while, I think they are about to be in trouble. Cannondale Habit is the way I would go, maybe a Scalpel as well. Awesome bikes. The Santa Cruz is a great bike, can't go wrong there. Never ridden the Transition, but I hear amazing things about the Evil and the technology behind it.
  11. This thread is going to be as gold as the Avocado thread shortly. I love the bear skin rug he is rocking under the jacket, how avant garde.
  12. There is a distinct difference between Huracan and Aventador. Aventador is done totally in house, where Huracan is done off site, and shipped in already painted. Unless they have changed that process, which I doubt they have. Aventador is done totally by hand, and all done in house in SA.
  13. That is what Audi did to us in the states with the RS6 Avant. They would sell every single one of them, but they still won't bring it. MB still lets us have the E class wagon with the big motor though.
  14. I thought that was you when I was getting off Lennox exit yesterday. I saw the car, and I thought, "wonder if that is Sprite". Looks great man, hope you enjoy it.
  15. I am very interested in this post. I was thinking about getting one a while back. Is it noisy? I heard it was a little noisy in the cabin from the engine. Heard the mileage is really good too though.
  16. Hey man, I happily threw him a few bucks. It hits close to home for me, as I read his father is suffering from MS, which is what killed my father at a very young age. He really has a heavy load to carry. I wish him all the luck, he seems so young to be losing a parent.
  17. It would bring it down just fine. Might help to have a little bit more rubber, but I doubt that the brake disks and calipers on the Konigsegg are much bigger than the Huracan. The antilock system on the Huracan is likely as good as anything on the market. Hit 250, and mash those fuckers, and I bet we have a brand new record. That said, getting up to speed for most is a lot more fun, pegging the brakes is a little bit more hair raising. I am positive that UG could smash the record, and I mean by a lot.
  18. I live in Atlanta, and I use Hartsfield regularly. It is hands down one of the easiest airports to work with and navigate. Its layout makes it very easy to navigate, with all terminals connected by the same trains, it almost resembles the starting lights at a drag strip. Alongside the trains is the tunnel which you can walk if you like. The whole airport is currently undergoing a huge renovation. Word on the street is that rats chewed through wiring causing the fire. As for the airport being owned by the city, that is true. That does the airport zero favors. That said, problems for me there have been rare. It is the busiest airport in the world, so you have to expect more issues there than most simply due to volume.
  19. It used to. Each state is different to an extent, but they have all tightened down. They used to have a brokers license that I was investigating in California. California caught on and killed it. Most states now do not differentiate between the two in regards to location, only in the liability and they way they are allowed to sell. As I said though, you would have to check with your state. Most of this stems from states recognizing that people are trying to take advantage of the system. Most states are, or were, broke from the recession. That economic event spawned the laws some of the states came up with, as they could no longer afford to not have the revenue. The physical location is what killed this for most people, as that made the costs too high for the guy that was buying a few exotics a year. It is an interesting discussion though. I know there are guys here that have either investigated it heavily, or they have actually done it. I would be curious to hear what people think, if they are willing to share it.
  20. This... Did you see him paint the fcuking outside wall in that right hand turn? He was driving the wheels off that thing to get that time. That said, he had a much, much better launch than the Performante as well. I bet that was worth .5-.75 of a second on that lap.
  21. You cannot insure a car that you do not own. Either the dealership owns it, or you own it. You also cannot get a loan on a car that is going to go through your dealership, that is considered floor planning. Finance companies will not finance a car in a dealership name, with you as the cosigner. My suggestion, find a bank that will floor plan your dealership. First, you have to have a brick and mortar dealership. This will require a surety bond, a physical location, liability and garage insurance, an office of 100 sq/ft, a verified phone number (land line only), and a filing cabinet. Once you have these things, and you get approved, you can then apply for a floor plan line with a lender. You can also get a line through Manheim Auctions/NextGear. The caveat to this is that while you will be paying interest only on your car at a rate of around 3-3.5% or so, you will have a curtailment period. Likely it will be 120 days, NextGear is 90 days I believe. If they don't hit your for the full amount, you will be required to infuse capital into the car, to lower the borrowed amount. Not sure if that jives with what you were talking about. My guess is you have a buddy with a store that will allow you to run cars through his place, which is fine, but you have to use his insurance and you will not be able to get a loan on the car (Veyron or otherwise). I am saying this because I see it happen very often, where a wealthy guy will piggy back off of his buddy's license to avoid paying the sales tax/property tax/registration fees. Also, I don't have a problem with that, just mentioning it. I think the taxes are too damn high.
  22. Great response. Could it also need to be bled? I know I had a problem with a heater core one time, and there was air in the line causing it to not work properly.
  23. Lamborghini Toolkit This is everything. I can't detail out the actual pieces in the toolkit itself. This also lists the can of fix a flat, which you will more than likely have to replace, as it has an expiration date.
  24. Buddy of mine in North LA is going through it. Does anyone have a very competent attorney that they could recommend? Would prefer someone closer to his home, as he has some recommendations for firms that are in the OC area. Not something he ever thought he would need. Feel free to PM or just post here.
