  1. Now I just can't wait for Oregon to get blown out by Auburn. Here's a good one for the Duckies http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKsb7kfcFRs

    Great story

Amazing how YouTube can pluck people from mediocrity and make them a local, national or international success overnight. Glad he got his break. Hope he sends the guy who shot and posted the video a nice Christmas card this year I too hope he makes the most of his new opportunities, what a voice!
  3. Perhaps a feeble (pun intended) attempt at making Holly jealous for leaving him to bone the mind freak?
  4. For the size of turbocharger being used, the response is incredible. This spool time would be approximately equivalent to the 61mm compressor GT35R on a stock 4G63 that everyone used 5 years ago as a "large" street turbo with only 600whp capacity.
  5. If reducing the neck angle by cutting and stretching works, you guys should have one of the many custom silicone shops make you a redesigned filler neck with even further reduced angle. If this is really a problem with every Diablo I'm sure you could get enough of an opening purchase together to make it worth their while. Based on my experience with purchasing custom spec'd 4-ply silicone couplers from China in bulk this theoretical product could cost under $100 to retail.
  6. That dealer is keeping their service dept. employed courtesy of MB! Wow!
  7. Sticking with the group theme..... http://nsfwarchive.com/photo/1280/23469568...jgk72mdQ1qzzhs8 Tom
  8. Fortis I can definitely see your point. But, if the same off and light throttle manners and drivability remain, the extra power is just a bonus only when you want to use it.
  9. Since I'd assume the 570hp is at the crankshaft, could even go so far as to make it a 1200SL now Awesome car and great work!
  10. There are several stations with E85 at the pump in my area and it still requires some pre-planning. If you are in an area with limited or no access, storing 55 gallon drums and pumping yourself is an option. Here is a good site for tracking down pumps in your area - http://e85vehicles.com/e85-stations.html Not all stations with E85 in the NW are on that site so doing a little local research is a good idea to make your life easier. It takes a bit of dedication, but is well worth the effort IMO. If you are somewhat savvy and can carry a laptop, John Reed can build you a pump gas map and show you how to switch to it yourself if an emergency fill up is ever necessary. @ basupra, I'm not sure I could think of a nastier livable street car than an ethanol fueled TTG. Congrats! Tom
  11. Ethanol has been used in many other turbocharged applications for quite some time now. The notion that it eats away any fuel system components is just hearsay from my experience over the last 5+ years. You will need 20-30% more fuel system capacity than on dino fuel. Ethanol does not produce as many BTUs per unit. The general consensus is that you get the knock suppression of 105-110 octane gasoline, it burns cleaner and is less expensive. John Reed tuned my old EVO on E85 and I had nothing but stellar drivability (a John Reed signature!) and rock solid reliability on 28 PSI daily. Love the ethanol!
  12. Love the show and the Caruso. Somewhat surprised that he's not yet the next Chuck Norris of internet folklore. He is the boss.
  13. I was referring to what he said at 3:45 in the video. He said he was crying because he damn near spent all the money in his pocket and bank account and something else I couldn't understand. Seems like a nice enough guy. If he really did make $40 million last year and has none left after buying a Veyron, somebody better get on top of his finances for him. No "hating" or animosity intended, just commenting on what I thought was fairly obvious from the video.
  14. I wonder if T-Pain is short for Tangent Pain, because that's what I felt after watching four minutes of that video. Rather than empty his accounts and put some on credit perhaps some investing for the rainy day when people tire of auto tune would be wise.
  15. The best part of the show was the Lamborghini segment. The Viper against heli race was far too scripted to be exciting or funny as similar segments are on the UK show. What a let down after the buildup of each presenter picking their car based on its characteristics to then have them "test" the cars in a straight line. Leno and Carolla would have kept up the humor and possibly given Tanner Foust an opportunity to have a personality. Should've come up with a new show instead of poorly replicating the original. I'll still watch though because I'm an automotive show whore and want to encourage more of that on TV
  16. What exactly gives anybody the idea that Lance was on anything other than chemotherapy? He's never once tested positive for anything. The man was equipped from the factory with better equipment than most (read into his vo2 max when he was younger) and then had to get through pain worse than most experience in life. When one is physically better equipped, trained by the best, riding with the best and can go deeper into the red zone than others it's kind of a no brainer. I watched Lance lap the cat 1/2 field repeatedly at the Tuesday night Plano, TX criteriums in the late 80s when he was a teenager. He's just more capable than everyone else, always has been.
  17. Haha no love for the N/T 2G. That game is going to be pretty cool.
  18. For half the money of most posted the EVO X is an extreme performance value and extremely practical/reliable. Now I know it doesn't impress by how much it costs or the snoot factor, but it does have the racing heritage most use to qualify a performance car. With a couple thousand dollars it will be tear your face off fast, still transport 4 adults comfortably with a trunk full of stuff through the snow while getting 4-cylinder fuel economy. Just a thought. 806 WHP w/ bolt-ons and drop in rods/pistons - Tom
  19. Lamborghini sold one since I checked yesterday about this time Tom
  20. 1, 2, 3, 6 and 7 might even be a little on the high side to qualify as cougars (GILF?) but otherwise yep that's what I meant
  21. You're supposed to tease it a little before you blow your whole load like that
  22. That's really strong, bet it feels pretty good on the butt dyno
  23. #2237 And here's some help in the NWS dept. http://nsfwarchive.com/photo/1280/14306593...1r5uU4kp1qcu9fu Tom
