  1. Yeah!! I love driving my Dad's. The seats tuck and curve around you electronically when you turn the car. It is so bad ass!! My only problem with my Dad's 65 is how big and smooth it is. I pin it and I am at 80 before I can focus my eyes on the speedo, but it desn't feel like I went there, I feels like I just magically got there. It is so smooth!
  2. My father drives a S65 AMG. Amazing car. I never heard of the Renntech version.... googling now!
  3. Thank You!! The RS6 is ridiculously cool! I think I would prefer the M5 though, based on looks. That was an option I forgot though!! If the 612 falls through, I will put it in contention with the M5.
  4. They are amazing cars!! It is strange. I like the way they look, drive, and I think Bentley has the coolest interiors of all cars. My Mom has one. They just seem less youthful to me than the other brands. I think that is my hang-up. IMO, The Bentley's that look youthful seem styled like the ultimate in hip-hop culture. Which is all cool, just not me. M5's are sick cars!!! I have owned the X5 4.6 and a lot of friends have M5's and what not. Amazing. Very powerful. It is an option. I guess the thing swaying me towards the Ferrari is the fact that it feels more exotic from the driving position. I place a lot of emphasis on the way the gauges and driving position feels. I like feeling like I am in a fighter jet. I drove BMW's so much, that I love the orange BMW vibe, but I am over it. I don't think they should ever change it, because I love it and I will one day want it in my life again. That may seem strange, but that was my thought. If the 612 were to fall through, I probably would revisit the M5! Thank You for the suggestion!! I appreciate everyone's input!! LP RULES!
  5. Good Call!! I left The GTS out because I found for the same money the used F 612 was more impressive of a ride and has 100 more bhp! But man, that is a beautiful car!!
  6. The funny thing is, I sent it to the dealer to make a trade in offer. A good friend of mine is a very talented professional photographer and he wants to shoot it before she is gone. I plan to get another older F Car in the next year, but the 308 is going. I just never drive it anymore. I will look for some pics I have taken, and I will post them, but they will not be the usual pro looking shots on here. Unless, my friend Paul comes to the dealership with me!
  7. Hey everyone! My wife and I had our first child two months ago. It is an amazing experience, that many of you know, but that is not the specific reason for this post. I usually drive a Hummer H1 as a daily driver. It is my favorite of all motorized vehicles. I also have my Lambo, a 308, and and 512TR. I plan to get the Aventador when I can order it Ad Personam. In fact, I withdrew my order for 2012 when they told me no Ad Personam this year. None of the sport cars help me with my infant, and the Hummer is too raw and bumpy for him for his first few years. My wife drives a C63 AMG. So far, we have been driving our son in her car. I have quickly become annoyed with not having a car myself that I can take my son in, so I started looking around. (I know this is not a real problem in life, and I am not one of those people that thinks or acts like it is. I am very blessed and this is a great problem to have.) I want a car that is fun when I want it to be fun and civilized when I am driving the fam, but still, fun. It is not a car I will sell in 2-3 years with 2-5k miles added, I will drive this car! I expect 10-15k miles a year. I don't mind buying used and letting someone else take the hit before I get said car. In fact, with the amount of miles I plan to drive, I would rather get a garage queen a save a lot since my high mileage will kill the value anyway. I would only buy new if it was what I consider to be a work of art. I do not care for Bentley's, Rolls, or anything that comfort comes first. In fact, I prefer italian styling. New Options: Lamborghini Estoque - If available, it would there would be no post here. I would buy it. It would be worth the new car hit to have that. Take note Lambo!! Maserati QP - I checked it. I would buy a new one, but it seems overdo for a refresh. Although, I love the way it looks. Ferrari FF - I cannot stand the way it looks. I think the price is too high for how ugly it is to justify taking the new car hit. Porsche Panamera - The FF before the FF. I do not like the styling. It looks like a bug to me. Aston Martin Rapide - Truly beautiful!! For the money it costs, I think it is light on BHP. I would probably be into this one if it had 100+ more BHP. They might in a few years, but I am not waiting. Preowned Options: On the used market, the best option I found is a Ferrari 612. I like that it is a 4-seater, fun and civilized. I test drove one and was very impressed. Everything about the car, the interior, the steering response, the engine, the sound (although I would change the exhaust to tubi) is on point. I like the frontal view and the rear doesn't bother me, but the side profile is a little blah for me. On the flip-side to its visual shortcomings, I like the fact that it doesn't scream "look-at-me!" Still, I find it to be light years better looking than the FF, and the price is hard to resist. I was shocked how amazing the car is. It goes from civil and comfortable but firm to a raging comfortable maniac with the tap of the corsa button. Unbelievably comfortable but always sporty! Just the ride I was looking for. I think we could drive long trips with no road fatigue. Any horror stories? Ferrari V-12s are amazing cars. I understand they are not as desirable on the resale, but I am looking at one that is already less than half of its original sale price with low miles. I am all set to go to the dealer tomorrow and pick it up. So, what do you guys think?
  8. YES!! I can respect the engineering, power and passion to raise the bar. But, the Veyron is and always has been ugly! I like super cars for the same reason I did as a kid. The look great, and the technology and speed are mind-blowing. They all are technologically amazing these days. The looks are harder and harder to get to be amazing with all the nannie rules. The Veyron has 0% of the "mad scientist race car that looks like hot wheels material" that a Countach and Zonda exemplify. That is a deal breaker. The beautiful thing about Lamborghini is, they still go for it the best they can! Ferrari did better with your 458, but the FF is a disaster. If Lamborghini built the FF, people would say "Look at what happens to the style when the Germans buy the Italian car companies!" But, Lambo still has the insanity through and though!!
  9. absolutely beautiful!! Congrats!!!
  10. The front with the logo makes it look like a cartoon drawing of what a futuristic Corvette might look like one day. But with the typical cartoon exaggeration. I don't know if that is a bad thing, it's just my first impression.
  11. Absolutely!! Good, yes. Like you are unleashing a F1 car on the highway, no. Not even close. The experience does not compare to that of a Lamborghini or Ferrari. It is all science, no soul.
  12. That is opinion. The New egear shifts faster, and you can feel the shifts! I am currently looking at buying a late production Ferrari 612 as a DD, because I cannot stomach the looks of the FF and the Estoque is not in cue. That being said, I do not understand the reason for DSG. I spoke with Horacio Pagani about it when I visited to discuss my order, and his feelings are similar to mine regarding feel. Why bother having shift paddles if you can feel any shift? Lambo gets it right for me.
  13. Got the H1 Alpha new in 2006. 85k miles, never a problem. My favorite thing in the world with a motor. bar none.
  14. I think you must be joking. The giant bug? The BUGatti? I cannot understand, other than the science (cool) and bragging rights (for losers), why anyone would want the Veyron. It is so ugly.
  15. Really though. We all know which brand would be the bottom. Prancing Horsey.
  16. When I first saw the Ferrari FF I thought it was a joke... someone making fun if Ferrari did a panamera type car how ugly it would be. Then I saw more and more, and I thought this joke is losing it's legs. Now, I see it driving. It has to be CGI!! I can't believe they would do this. It is a disgrace. If Lambo made tis exact car people would scream, "See what happens when the Italian car company is owned by Germans!" But Ferrari is the one that is "still Italian." Yeah, right. Every Lambo, concept's and production has always looked Italian.
  17. The Estoque is probably meant to be priced 10-20k above the Panamera, but still attract the same clientele. I think the real problem is big brother. Porsche is a bigger part of the VW Group than Lamborghini. VW probably doesn't want the brothers fighting over sales. So, no green light till the Panamera is running it course.
  18. Pictures do not do this car justice!! DSG... no one complains that Pagani uses a single? DSG makes for a smooth shift and weighs more. Lambo enthusiasts don't want a smooth shifts. We want to hear and feel it. Visible parts when the wing is up? Really??? That is like arguing about The color panties Megan Foxx is wearing as she is ripping them off to jump on you. Go away. Looks to much like a Gallardo? That is like saying the G looks like a Murcie, or Countach. It has the family resemblance, but it is very different. As it should. creature comforts... bring them on!! I complained to Winkelmann that there is no cruise control at the reveal. Comparing it to the Murcie.... insane. The Murice LP-640 and SV are amazing cars, but this makes them look like classics, not modern cars. When I was at the reveal in NYC I was blown away. Then I walked outside to see a beautiful Murcie. The Murice still looked amazing, but it looked like the past. The distant past, compared to the Aventador. Lamborghini did an amazing job with this car. Relax.
  19. I was joking with the bug comment, I love your Porsche. I have driven a 458 and I do see it's merits, but it is way too tweaky and the shifts are too smooth. When shifting gets that smooth, I do not understand why you don't just drive an automatic? Not a fan of the ride. I like to feel the road more. But, I get it. If you like that kind of thing. I like raw, visceral, rough, and loud, which is the Lambo way. IMO The 458 is more refined, smooth, computerized feeling / scientist made for people who like lots of gadgets on steering wheels.
  20. Yes!! I really have grown to dislike most angles of the 458. The headlights really annoy me. The bug is cool!
