Interesting. As an Australian living in Melbourne, Victoria, here's my 2 cents worth. 1. The Australian dolllar today buys $1.06US dollars. 2. Yes, any imported pre 1989 LHD cars can be fully registered and driven daily (the much cheaper and popular choice is club registration). 3. When a new Gallardo ranges from $400 - $600K and an Aventador is around $780K, why buy a car that will never appreciate in value? That's why older classic muscle cars and perhaps the odd Countach represent an opportunity to enjoy a toy that will (likely) hold or increase in value.
