  1. Wow! A fantastic thread. Great garage layout. I built my own house too a few years back. Just finishing my 3rd garage....all attached to the house.
  2. Love it, very cool when they are hung on the wall.
  3. Something very wrong with that.
  4. One of my employees just told me this morning that it was on Carini's show.........
  5. Alberto, good to see you again. Sad when a long time owner/contributor sells his car and leaves.
  6. We can fix it, we have the technology.......but shocking they would even advertise it with a silver wheel. The other crap, yeah, boyracer bolt on crap but a wheel? It's bad, but not kitcar bad.......the more you look, the worse it gets.....the worse it gets, the more you look.
  7. Haha, best reason yet! I would buy, in a heartbeat, a salvage titled Lamborghini that looks worst than that. Car looks fine. Unless burnt to a crisp or in a crusher, I could care less about the title. Most reasons a title is dirty is not a worthy reason. We have seen all types of cars with a shit title because of wheel rash or interior knifed, it down poured with the windows open or top down.....something that would dry up in a day in the sun. Remember, the skeletal frame of a Countach is unbelievably strong.
  8. I used a ratchet strap to secure the door to the garage door rail. I advise the same. AND NOT BY THE WINDOW FRAME.
  9. Don't blame ya.....carbs are great but it is always in the back of your mind when you are about to get in and drive.
  10. I am about a mile from them if you need any assistance.
  11. "driving one feels like they mated an old Kenworth and a 60's F1 car " Pretty much sums it up. No argument here.
  12. Excellent! Lambo Boston brought down a few Huracans to our show in West Hartford. I can say I drive a Countach and drove 2 Huracan. The 2 cars do not compare in any way. Both are good but VERY different. I have pretty much little interest in new Lambos (or new cars), not into its technology or modern day technology as a whole. So, with that said and being extremely different cars.......what pull you toward the Countach instead of the Huracan? If it was tough decision, what made it tough? BTW, being in New England, have we met?

haha, that was fun. Very cool.
  14. 6k? Wow, I should think about selling my spare throw out bearing.
  15. Yes! The old school process is still very cool to watch. most of the the wood pieces are a straight stick. Then lots of steam and water.........
  16. Yeah, everything was about $700. A very small price to pay for something that stands out very much.
  17. Here are some of the new wheel....and a photo of the impact socket had my 80yr old stepfather make in his tiny machine shop in his basement..
  18. When I bought my Jarama in 2010 it came with an aftermarket thick leather steering wheel. I kept putting off buying an original one from Olivier/Emilio. When I was ready, it was recently sold. Then I was lucky enough to find one on ebay. Though cracked and priced on the high side at around $800, I bought and sat on it. What I concluded is that it may have from an Islero that was in a front accident. The wood was repaired but not well, with the usual glue. Either both hands or a face hit the wheel in the accident. The spoke were slightly bent. I searched on net and there was not much for restorers. I did see a guy name Bruce Crawford who has Hardwood Classics. I hesitated because I saw loads of Porsche and Ferrari wheels but no Lamborghini. I search the VLG and did see Jack R responded to someone asking that he know of someone who had a wheel restored with good results. I sent the wheel to Bruce. The response was quick and to the point; the wood shouldn't be repair but replaced AND the spokes were bent. I told him to go ahead. I immediately accepted the fact that this artist works on one wheel at a time and it would take 3-4 months. Well, I got the wheel back yesterday. It did not take as long. It did, however, come out incredibly beautiful. The spokes straight and looks as new. The wood surround and shift knob all look very nice.
