  1. I remember reading a thread not so long ago about someone who bought new tires and then discovered that they were a few years old. They had never been used but as Allan said, a three year old "new" tire is not actually new. Maybe he just had bad luck, but I wouldn't confirm milage on a car based on the tires.
  2. Agreed. It's pretty amazing that you can pick up a 2012 12C with <1000miles in the States for $50k under list. That's got to be a record of some kind..
  3. How the h*ll did I miss this?!! Can't believe an LP member is getting the most outrageous Lamborghini ever made! I've been a member on various car forums for the past 12 years and I have never come across anything close to being as AWESOME as this! Huge congrats Ragin!!! (good luck sleeping the coming 6-8 months..)
  4. Like everyone said, pretty f***** up.. And that they aren't dead yet is an embarresment. I'm still getting a flashy colored Lamborghini though..
  5. I'm not so good with model names but I like this one. HA! No I think I have to say the SV is #1 today. Tomorrow the Aventador roadster might top the list..
  6. I said before (in one of your other threads) that I wouldn't get two different V12 Lambos because they would still be too similar. I would rather get a GT3RS or whatever. After reading about your experience with the SV and the Aventador, looking at the pics of the cars side by side in your garage, I can now say I was wrong.. You have two amazing cars there that anyone would and should be jealous of! And the SV sounds absolutely rediculous!!!
  7. Is the rear wing deactivated on this car? In the video they raise it in the shop and the add on wing looks exactly like the airbrake on the Veyron. You could probably do a Fast&the furious style wheelie if you went fast enough and then put the rear wing up..
  8. In the BMW's the off button for autostop/start is just under the starter button. I don't see why Lamborghini can't do the same. You simply press two buttons instead of one when you start the car, probably takes a whole 1/10 of a second longer. And if that is all it takes to keep the tree hugging politicians happy then it's not that bad..
  9. The rear pop up wing is the only thing I dislike about the car, same thing about the 991. It looks like a piece of the car has come loose.... They should make a control unit that allows the wing to stay down at all times.
  10. May I ask why you are getting three cars that are so similiar? If I had multiple cars I would want my cars to give me totally different driving experiences. i.e a GT3RS, Aventador, Bentley CGT (for example). Not saying that what you are doing is wrong, I'm just curious about your train of thought. And CONGRATS!! The roadster is going to be sick!
  11. I feel the exact same way, I live in a small town in the north of Sweden (120000 people) and I am definately fed up... It seems that every chance I get I just sit down and daydream about moving away from here. It's not that I am unhappy, but if I could, I would move preferably to a different country. A lot of my closest friends have moved in the last year because of work and the city isn't doing anything for me, barely anything to do and it's the same people in the same places over and over.. And now it's getting to the point where if someone would offer me a job flipping burgers at Mcdonals somewhere in a random warm place I would start to cry with joy and get on the next flight. (well it's maybe not really that bad, but I'm pretty tired of this place..) I have travelled quite a lot when I was younger and have lived in both Norway and Germany + 3 different cities in Sweden so I'm thinking it could be that I just get tired of being in the same place pretty quickly. But I don't really have a Lamborghinian financial situation so I can't just pack up and go somewhere. I spent 30 weeks backpacking in Australia in 2004/05 and would move back in a heartbeat. The people are the friendliest and most generous people in the entire world, the weather and the scenery is amazing and I just love the whole vibe of the place. I even started looking in to moving there a couple of years ago but unless someone offers you a job or you go there to retire it's pretty much impossible to get a visum. It really feels like I'm stuck and I'm not sure what to do with myself.. So you're definately not alone in thinking like this. And even though I might come off as suicidal, I get what you're saying.
  12. That is obviously not a real car. 90% of the advertisment from Wheelsandmore are PS'ed..
  13. Hahaha, best thread of 2012, easily! I thought they/he had been banned, but thank god he isn't! I laughed more and more after each reply from the OP, then the carman joined in and made this thread epic! Anyway, what's up with this twin turbo thing? Sounds great.
  14. Looking at the comments, math doesn't seem to be his best subject either...
  15. Du lever mitt drömliv David! Good luck with your search!
  16. I could not agree more. Mako you seem to be one of the most sensible persons I've ever come across on a car forum. I find myself agreeing with just about everything you say. And why is it that every other thread on this board is about Allan? What does Allan think, will Allan aprove of this, what underware does Allan like.. Have I missed something? I know it's his website but still... is he God himself?.. if so, I'm glad I'm not a religious man.
  17. Get the color you want and don't care so much about other people thinking you look like a "tool" as you describe it. Would you rather drive around in a car you don't like just becuase other people would like you more? I don't think your friends and colleagues will think less of you because of the color of your car, and the people you don't know who thinks that, well, you don't know them so who gives a ****.. Still, I don't think people will think different on you based on the color of your car. They will think you're a tool because you drive a Lambo and they don't.
  18. That would cost a lot of money in just r&d alone and I'm not so sure it would sell that well considering it would be really expensive.. Just look at the prices for a Brabus or Techart front end. Making a front lip is very easy in comparision and appeals to a lot more people.
  19. Simply gorgeous! What size are the wheels on this thing?
  20. I agree, that would be amazing. But everything seems to be going the opposite way, unfortunately.. More nannys, flappy paddle only, safety etcetc. I think if a car like that is ever going to be built it's going to be by a smaller company, like Shelby, RUF or something like that. Or maybe Mclaren is your best bet. The F1 had stick shift, no power steering, no abs. I'm not sure but I don't think it had any stability control either. Mclaren seem to be thinking a bit out of the box, when Mercedes isn't involved at least.. so maybe we can hope that their next hypercar will be a 21st century version of the F1. Although I very much doubt it...
  21. One of my favourite footballers (soccer players for you americans) is Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
  22. I don't think I've ever agreed more. Well said.
  23. X 1000. Fast can also mean going around a corner at the highest speed possible, believe it or not. Even braking can be a criteria for deciding which car is faster. I'd remove at least 90% of the cars on that list.
  24. I'm a huge Man United fan but Barca showed today (and last game, even though they lost) how far ahead they are of all the others. After RvP's horrible second yellow the game died but even before then Arsenal couldn't even hold on to the ball, two passes and boom, lost it. It was pretty funny to watch when Barca created a chance, Arsenal got the ball, replay of the chance, cut back to the game and Barca had the ball again. Countless times.. They are so aggressive in their defense that even the worlds second best "possession team" couldn't even get the ball to the offensive half of the pitch.. The best team to ever play the game IMO.
