  1. If you can buy it at retail, it's worth it. Not worth it if you have to buy on the secondary market.
  2. Never really though about where you would put the tire that you took off. Looks like a miserable day.
  3. What's out there that you recommend? Not seeing much that's already Melonite treated. I really don't want to mess with sending something out to be treated. I know Seekins Precision makes one, but I'm not very familiar with them and I don't think they are HPT/MPI.
  4. Anyone have any experience with nickel boron treated bolt carriers? Looking for feedback on reliability and upkeep. Thinking of using this one on a build I'm working on. FailZero

I appreciate your help, but it shows up on my screen as stretched vertically to the point that it is unidentifiable.

Well, that didn't work out so well.
  8. I've never been able to upload an avatar. I have it resized within the limits listed and have tried all the listed formats. I get a message telling me to contact a moderator. Here is the full size picture I'm trying to upload. Thanks in advance.

    Free Mustang?

Looks better than I thought it would. Reminded me of some very similar pictures of my old car.

    Free Mustang?

Based on those pictures, plan on tearing into the cowl. Common rust spot and source of leaks. Mine was in much better condition and leaked onto the floorboard every rain. Good luck, looking forward to seeing your progress.
  11. Anyone think Phil did this on purpose? He's not stupid. He is a part time preacher. Has a son who left his preaching position to be on the show to reach a bigger audience. Phil has already said he doesn't have long term plans to be a part of the show. I feel like Phil decided to use his celebrity status to state his beliefs to create this controversy. Don't think he thought it would amount to as much as it has, but I do think he wanted to use this as a platform to preach from.
  12. Was that Dave's C5 in that video?
  13. VR Alexander, Shank, No Mercy (Mana) All of these at one time or another, I looked at as people I would like to emulate in business. Some of whom had even been to my house for BBQs. In retrospect it makes me think of how naive I was. Really make you 2nd guess someone who comes across as a nice guy and suddenly starts throwing around crazy money. These kind of stories really cause me me to approach new people with a sense of trepidation.
  14. Thanks for the replies. Hadn't seen that video. One more question. Wouldn't a semi auto have less kick than a pump since some of the energy is used through the gas system expelling the shell instead of being transfered to the shooter? I realize that it will still kick, but seem like this may be better for a less experienced shooters. I also don't understand why some of those women in the video were given pistol grip shotguns to shoot for the first time. Seems like a recipe for disaster.
  15. I always had less issues with semiautos jamming than pump. Granted this was 20 years ago shooting skeet. How does the test that you cite compare with the Remington 1100 claim to fame? The model 1100 holds the record for the most shells fired out of an autoloading shotgun without malfunction, cleaning or parts breakage with a record of over 24,000 rounds. The record was set in 1978 with a Remington model 1100 LT-20. Breaking this record has been attempted with several other models of Semi auto shotguns but has yet to be broken. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remington_1100
  16. Spent some time reading through this thread over the past couple of days. I am definitely a firearms novice and learned quite a bit. One thing that I noticed is that several people with extensive collections use a pump shotgun for home defense. I'm curious as to the reason some prefer a pump over a semiauto shotgun for home defense. I always thought that it was a factor of cost, but after seeing some of the other guns people own, I don't think this is the case. It seems to me that in a pressure situation you would want a semiauto. What is the logic going with a pump?
  17. Awesome cars! For some reason I thought your first sv was a 99. Nitrous was an interesting twist. I knew a little about your murcie from its days in Hawaii. Absolutely love your 1/2 herbie!! Enjoy in good health!!!
  18. Started to post about giving David a chance to let the numbers speak for themselves, but all the pomp and circumstance around this project has left me somewhat agnostic;)
  19. What's the story on that engine in the yellow mustang? I have no idea of what I'm looking at in that picture.
