  1. Learned this lesson the hard way, on my seldom driven H1, with dual batteries. What's worse than one battery withering away from disuse? Two batteries withering away! $250 later and now I run a tender all the time.
  2. Great project. My dad still has his 280Z that he bought in 1977. Such a cool car.
  3. Good to know I'm not the only one who looks at this whole clusterfuck as completely self inflicted. Victim my ass. Brown was a violent criminal, plain and simple.
  4. The UFC is apparently constructing a purpose built arena, right off the south strip. I drove past the site during SEMA a few weeks ago. Anyone know anything about it?
  5. Yeah they had some neat stuff that (apparently) actually gets driven/raced. The show was so big it was easy to miss stuff. Overwhelming, really. It has grown so much over the years.
  6. A couple of the Optima Ultimate Street Cars:
  7. Yeah - My first thought was wow, Jameis has really pushed the envelope this time. A shooting is sure to get him at least a full game suspension.
  8. This "Camaro"? Seems like a stepbrother of the Hoonicorn. Some really ridic restomods this year - Did you see the Optima Ultimate Street Cars booth??

Car was at SEMA last weekend - looked bonkers.
  10. The deceased's parents will find an attorney who will assign blame to everyone except the skateboarder. The drivers insco will pay out because it's cheaper than litigating. 'murica.
  11. Yup, and half of the comments were innocuously complimentary. America has become a society of pathetic complainers and professional offendees.
  12. From the site: "this strange table is certainly a unique way to show everyone your allegiance to the famed Italian auto brand." Couldn't have said it better myself!
  13. Buy a Glock for regular price, get a free P226! Was he drinking?!
  14. Perfect starter gun! Make sure to get the Hogue finger grooved rubbery grip. I got that grip for my DE50 and it made a world of difference. Went from "fcuk that" to "quite unpleasant".
  15. Is it normal in America to rent an investment? I don't understand, but that may be because I'm from Arizona.
  16. Here's the family pic, sorry it took so long - 223, 9mm, and .22
  17. For one, the QD attachment on the 2000 is way better than the 1000. The M42K is also lighter, shorter, quieter, and has more robust internals (iconel everything instead of just the blast baffle). Since cans are typically something you hold onto forever, it doesn't seem wise to skimp. Sure thing, I'll have to put up a family picture!
  18. Cool, that was sorta how I built my .22 and 9mm AR SBRs. Makes for a good look and functional to boot. The M41000 is best avoided, anyways.
  19. Cool, had to look that one up. Love the short size, wonder how it'll compare to the M42000 in suppression? I have an M4 and putting it on anything other than an SBR makes the rifle quite cumbersome.
  20. With the shortened gas system I don't know of any products that will fit - do you? I'd also sorta worry about a railed handguard acting like a cheese grater on this gun. My thought was to bolt a small section of rail to the existing handguard, but there's really no available space when you grip the weapon.
  21. Cool. Glad they finally got a few delivered! Seemed like a fun concept but you'd really need an FA lower to make use of it. Anybody here own one? I finally completed my Saiga SBS. I want to put a light on the thing somewhere, but there's barely any free space on the hand guard.
  22. Ha! No kidding. Speaking of Ares and slow delivery, does anyone know what happened to the Shrike project? That was all the rage then lost steam after deliveries didn't happen. Seemed like a sweet product with shitty supply chain management.
  23. Wow, cheese plate indeed. I'm surprised that A) they're not more proactive with earthquake-proof storage in the Bay Area and there isn't some obscure CA agency that regulates and enforces such.
