I have wondered if all 600 units would be made as well. I don't think that since a convertible SV is being made that the market is there for that many unless it comes from outside the U.S. I think the convertible orders will be filled and in the long run there will be less coups than convertible. Just my thoughts.

Well the install is in progress and should be finished on Monday. Will pick her up on Tuesday.

I am old fashioned, maybe a dinosaur. I like a little extra especially in a coupe. I use other cars as a cruiser.

Has anyone purchased a capristo exhaust? I have ordered one and expect to receive it in a few days. I have used them in the past on other cars and fell in love. Has anyone put on the lambo exhaust for 10k or so? If yes, are you happy with it.

I didn't think any would sell at Mecum due to their buyer market profile. How much did the '99 go for. It is a lot of work to move the cars around all weekend and the time they go off is a really big factor on the sale.

That was one wild ride and seemed like a beast!

I have a deposit down on the 488. I hated the 458 looks for some reason. The F Chat guys seem to dislike the turbo idea. Lambo guys seem to like the 488 but the Ferrari guys don't seem to like it. Maybe Ferrari is trying to be more like Lambo.

Does having a deposit count? Want to have a companion to my Murcie SV.

I agree with these values. I think the answer is they are going up. There are just so many people who want one as well.

I do like the car a lot. Congrats. I hope you just love it. I test drove one in Atlanta and it was fantastic.

Forza Mag. has the F 40's going up like 75k a year for the last 4 years. A great example with under 1k miles is in the 450k range according to them. Big price for a car that is nearly 20 years old and soon to have all the rubber articles needing replacement.

I am thinking of looking into a Phantom. It's hard to find anyone who has one and talks about it on line. Keep us posted if you decide to buy or not buy.

Maybe you could get on the discovery channel and replace the American choppers program. You just need a screwed up family. Looks like you have the mechanics down pretty good.

I just mine a week or so ago. It is posted on F chat. The car is fast and well built. It has a ton of electronic gadgets The build quality is very good. I am just getting acquainted with the car but I think I am going to love it. I can't compare it to a new Lambo since I have a '99 diablo and it really is not in the same category as the new 599. That is not meant to be a slam on the diablo but they are totally different cars. The 599 is a gt car and does lack the excitement of a car like the 430 which I also owned. It is designed as a road car and does so very well and it's fast and comfortable too.

The roof looks like it is some kid of modern glass panel to me. Car looks really good.

Good helpful info. I think a cut off on air would be a good addition when the roof is off.

I took my '99 Roadster out for a 150 mile drive today. I took the top off and stored it on the engine cover. Lunch was 70 miles away and while I ate I left the rear hatch open to cool off the engine. It was 86 today but not too humid. After lunch I put in gas and rode home. Once I slowed down the car just stalled but none of the sensors for the water or oil seemed too high. A little later it did it again. Was it just too hot to slow down or should I look somewhere else? I had the air running the whole time as I couldn't turn it off. Is there a switch for off? The manual didn't address it. I am still breaking the Kevlar clutch and haven't opened it up yet. I sure like driving with the roof off. The car looks great with it down and people just love it. There are also fans on both sides of the rear of the car. The one on the drivers side ran most of the time even when I was moving. The one on the passenger side seem to go on and off more. I guess one is for the radiator. Are they both for the cooling system or is one for the air conditioning? I washed the car and now it is in the garage with the battery tender on it and the car is covered. It will be ready for my next trip.

That car is somewhere in the 190 to 195 range in my opinion. That doesn't mean the deal couldn't be for less.

I bought a '98 spyder with an F1 shifter new in '98. I owned it for 3 years and tracked it 5 times and I loved the car. It gives excellent feedback and is powerful enough. I sold it when I bought a 360 and for a while I missed the car. I may buy one again just for the hell of it.
