    Fitness misc.

Sweet. All this time I thought I had fat bulging over the hips when I really just have huge obliques.
  2. Thanks, haven't seen one before. Definitely better than the 5 series. Hatches and wagons are big in Europe, but I doubt either of these will sell well in the US. I don't think AUDI is bringing the sport back to the States.
  3. I could barely sit through that song, but I like Andy Samberg. Dick in a Box is a classic.
  4. Cute, but I guess it would be funnier if I had a clue what that motherf'n song was.
  5. In AZ they have mobile vans that set up on freeway on-ramps that measure your exhaust output optically as you drive by. If you "fail", a camera snaps your plate and you get a letter stating you need to take your car to an official smog testing facility. While it sucks (I got flagged once but did pass at the station), at least it is noninvasive. I'd love to see someone on here test RD's suggestion.

Wow, that's one way to get yourself killed. Sooner or later you're going to blackmail the wrong "influential" guy.
  7. My kind of night, though I suspect Jason is correct about the lack of women.
  8. Do you know which day yours is going across? I will be there on Thursday, the 21st, when they host the local Lambo and F-car clubs.
  9. Yup, will be here through the end of January, then I head back to CZ for a while.
  10. Stunning. Is that a wrap? I can't imagine it would be a complete rebody in CF.
  11. I was following it with much interest since I was just there a few weeks ago. Auschwitz was by far the heaviest, most depressing thing I've encountered. The room with 7 tons of human hair shaved from people just before they were gassed put me over the edge.
  12. Rob's story reminds me of the time I was looking for a specific car. I called a local dealer, the salesman says he's looking at one right there on his showroom floor. I drive right over, and it's not there. They guy says he knows "it's around here somewhere" and proceeds to drive us around the lot on his golf cart. It was quickly evident they didn't have the car at all. I was pissed and told him off and left. The worst salesman I've encountered, though, was one in SLC. I was very interested in a really nice black F250 4x4 he had on the lot, but after the test drive, he starts on the whole "what do you want your payments to be" crap. I kept asking what the price of the truck was so we could start the negotiations from there and he wouldn't tell me. Then he says - I shit you not - "I don't have to sell you this truck". I laughed and told him not to worry, he wouldn't and left.
  13. IMO, a CT should be well over $100k, FI or carbed. It is THE original supercar (despite some claims that the Miura was) and is the most significant exotic of the 70s and 80s. If there were a horsey on the badge, it would be a $250k car. The CT is far more important than the 512BB or M1, both of which are well over $100k. At $70k, any decent running CT is a bargain. Buy them while you can.
  14. I thought you were kidding with the "Amgen tour", but I googled it and it's real. Talk about irony - one of the largest biotechnology companies sponsoring a cycling race.
  15. There's some weird stuff down deep in the ocean.
  16. Happens to the ones in my neighborhood too.

    eeeeek!

Both the beetle and iguana are harmless. Way cool, Jason!
  18. Great link. I too would like to learn to sail and get a modest sea-going sailboat.
  19. That combination makes no sense whatsoever.
  20. Saw one at a mall in CZ. A 5 series hatchback.
  21. I'd never thought of that, but yes, that is brilliant.
