  1. Great video! Sweet car on some killer roads.
  2. Keep in mind the US cars also had a milder cam in them. With the Euro cam and a properly functioning FI system, I'd be willing to bet these cars are every bit as fast and probably more driveable than an equivalent Weber carbed version. Porsche and Mercedes had been using variants of this system for nearly a decade. It is very reliable. I've had both. My 2V FI car felt much stronger than my carbed car, at least at street speeds. I'd be more focused on the aesthetics of the ugly US bumpers.
  3. I had a friend once give me this advice: Russian women are very beautiful, but they'll cut your heart out. That said, all women under 25 (maybe even 30) are nutty. Just have fun and don't take them too seriously.
  4. And there was much rejoicing. Yea...
  5. Better take care of it. I let one go years ago and my whole head swelled up and I ended up having emergency surgery to roto-rooter my sinuses. The best part was they used these as surgical dressing. Boy was that fun when they pulled them out. BTW, around the same time a local HS football coach lost his eye when he let it go too long and the infection spread to his eye. Sinus infections are no joke.
  6. Sadly, this was my second thought, after my initial revulsion and outrage.
  7. Looked like he an original Audubon "Birds of America", considered the "most expensive book in the world". http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/eu_britain_birds_of_america
  8. Very nice engineering work on this. This calls for a dyno test when complete.
  9. WWII Facebook - I haven't lol'd that hard in ages.
  10. You can't run down to the local tire store and buy them off the rack, but I was able to find them without trouble. Longstone tyres in the UK shows them in stock. http://www.longstonetires.com/page/lamborghiniTyres I ordered a set of fronts tires from them and had them within a few days. Shipping was very reasonable.
  11. Buy it! There is room in my garage for that.
  12. The 350 and 400 look much better in the rear, but the front is fugly on those. They should have stuck with the oiginal GTV design in jim501'a avatar. That was gorgeous. This guy is dreaming at $179k. Maybe $100-120k.
  13. My dream gun, along with the Barrett M82 .50.
  14. Allan, details? PM if necessary.
  15. Thanks. Any chance to get a re-up on episodes 1 and 2?
  16. WTF? They're that much? I slept on one at some boutique hotel in Prague. IMO, it was not any better than my $2k Simmons "Westin Heavenly Bed" pillow-top. Maybe the warranty is better, but the next several generations of my family can buy a new Simmons every 5-10 yrs for the price of one Hastens. We can debate whether a $250k Lambo is really worth 5x a POS, but buying a Hastens is just throwing money away to show off. No different than a 24K gold toilet. Don't do it D. Wiggs.
  17. What’s happening to Europe this time? France, Greece and England are already out – oh wait, that’s tomorrow.
  18. Again, just because "that's the way we've always done it" doesn't mean it should continue. It's wrong - just like what we Yanks said about absolute monarchies. Believe me, it gets tiring and expensive for us to have to fix all the worlds ills.
  19. I'm saying they appear to be girly men with the pretend injuries and over the top theatrics. Just because that's become part of the game doesn't make it right and it needs to be strongly discouraged. I can't remember which match, but it was refreshing to see one player issued a yellow for just that type of activity. They need more of that from the referees. I can get past the low scoring because I do enjoy the beauty of the sport, but the falling down after a tap is just stupid. Anyway, go USA!
