  1. I think they're doing this to get more money out of you. Car looks great without it.
  2. So I decided to do a little "proof of concept" and experiment plasti-dipping a portion of the 02 rear bumper to replicate the LP rear without spending the insane amount of money converting it over. For those that don't know, plastidip comes in a spray can and adheres to anything while being super easy to remove, like a layer of skin. So perfect to test and undo something if you don't like it. As long as you aren't too rough with it, it'll also last a long time. Here's an example of how it peels off: I decided to go this route before opting to vinyl wrap it because I wanted to make sure it doesn't look like shit. For reference, here is the look we are going for: Note the triangulation in the corners and the fact that the black diffuser portion begins at the mid-exhaust point where the bumper starts to angle inward: Here is where many owners and wrap shops get this wrong. They cover the whole rear section. This is WRONG: Began masking it off with my buddy: More progress: Ready to be dipped: One half done: Note the triangulation: Final result: IMO came out sexier than I thought. There are no imperfections, no cracks in the lines, everything is PERFECT. Well worth the 2+ hours of prep and 15 mins it took to spray. To top it off, also did a LP gauge face conversion from Lockwood International in the UK and did LP670 custom mats from a local amazing upholstery company, Exoticare: If the plastidip holds up, I won't touch it, but if it deteriorates, I'll have someone wrap it in vinyl. Overall it came out exceeding my expectations!
  3. Also, I forgot to add - the idle is rock solid now as well. Previously it used to fluctuate +/-150rpm, now it's +/-20rpm.
  4. Yes I installed all 12 - wouldn't make sense to only partially replace them. They didn't look AS oxidized as some of his, but they were pretty beat to shit.
  5. I just had the pleasure of installing these in the car and I am impressed. Overall the car is smoother, more refined, more "modern" feeling. It no longer has the rough spots in the rpm it usually had down low. The startup is also very crisp and clear. This is a must for any 02-04 lambo still using the shitty MM coilpacks.
  6. That's a crazy options list! How many root canals does it take to cover the cf options? LOL Can't wait to see the complete pics!
  7. Ha, I remember this on the news. Can't believe it's the same car. Surprised it's actually back together, but I sure as hell wouldn't touch it with a 10-ft pole.

  9. Here's my car with the RWD conversion... Best mod you can do to the car.
  10. So... it's a white aventador with a shitty paint (maybe even wrap) job?
  11. wtf is with this retarded "stance" and vintage wheel shit lately? wheels look like shit and the owner's successfully made a 200k exotic look like a riced out civic
  12. Is that a carbon murci door I see tucked away in this pic? Details/price?
  13. I wasn't 100% sure whether the 8-pistons started in 04 or 05. For the 05+, the rears are 4-piston, but the earlier murc's have a smaller diameter rotor.
  14. Yes, the CCB's are 6-piston but they are a completely different caliper. Much thicker. Here's a pic of the CCB's. Note how the caliper is much closer to the center of the wheel (thicker) than the pics I posted above.
  15. kaoss: If you could, it would be great to have 100% confirmation. whiteout: The caliper (non-CCB) on the LP640 and the 04+ murc) is the same 8-piston as found on the Gallardo (non-lp560) fronts. The rotor is also 15". These are 6-piston with 16" rotors.
  16. Looking to upgrade the 02 stock front brakes with a Brembo 16" BBK (http://www.remmenexperts.nl/en/p/679/1n19508a) but I have a strong feeling that it will NOT fit under 18" hercules wheels. The only pics of this kit in wild I've found was when I was browsing through the ADV.1 gallery. Looks like it barely fits under what appears to be a 19 or 20" front wheel... If anyone has FRONT Hercules wheels off the car, could you please check using this clearance guide?: For reference, Hercules wheels:
  17. D.Wiggs: Few questions... 1. How do you find traction in 1st and 2nd with the RWD mod? I've driven high-hp RWD cars all my life and the one thing I really love about the murc is that I can go WOT in 1st gear from a 5-10mph roll and the car will go a little sideways (until power is sent to the front) and immediately after the car will correct and propelled forward. Same situation in 2nd. In your car, if you were to go WOT in 1st at 5-10mph, how much of a disadvantage are you at? Is there enough weight in the rear to maintain decent traction, or is the car useless at full power in 1st gear? I've also got straight pipes, so that's an additional weight reduction in the rear, just like you. 2. Do you notice any high-speed stability changes with the 180lbs reduced frontal weight? There were mentions on some of the RWD threads that the front felt more floaty and not as glued to the road during high speed runs as before. I know you've gone to 200+, but still...? 3. I've seen your vids all over youtube. Were you running full straight pipes? ie: All 4 cats removed and straight pipes from the headers back? Did you have an X-pipe? Specs on exhaust would be great.
  18. The one you buy for $25 doesn't go in to very much detail about anything.
  19. I've always wondered if the car would look good with the black portions of the wings painted body-color, and now that I see it done on this car, I think it looks pretty good.
