  1. Awesome pics guys! Looks like a very nice turnout. A question for those of you who were there or live in the area. It looks like the Orange SL that Lambo Houston has for sale was out there. Does anyone know what kind of shape the car is in or its history? I'm sure it's a nice one but wanted input from those who have seen it in person. Thanks.
  2. I was thinking about the '11 SL they have for sale but never heard back from Matt. Now I know why. Have any of you been in there and know what kind of condition the car is in? It looks great in the pictures but a closer look is always better. Enjoy the gathering!
  3. Thanks for the comparison Leadfoot. I'll enjoy the baby brother for a while but the Murci LP platform has peaked my interest. Congrats again on the SV. The best of the best.
  4. Late to the party but congrats. It looks great in Giallo. The other cars in the garage are awesome as well. As an aside, how would you compare the 670 to the 570? I know they're completely different animals but would love to hear the thoughts from someone who has owned both. I have a 550 right now but can see myself owning a LP640 or 670 someday to get that V-12 experience out of my system. Just curious if it's worth the leap. Thanks and enjoy your new bull.
  5. I want them all! But that VI is insane. The orange is a close second...Well played Lamborghini.
  6. Glad to hear all turned out well! I had a roto rooter done on Monday. I'm 40 with a family history of polyps (non cancerous to this point). Glad I went, as the doctor removed a 8mm polyp. Said he is fairly certain it is non cancerous but sent it out for a biopsy. He also stated that he becomes more concerned when they are greater than 1cm in size. So, I know what you went through waiting for the results. Sucks. Gives us a little pause on life and living it to the fullest while we're here. Now, if we could just find a way to flavor the laxative so it is even halfway drinkable. Maybe a beer flavor or hard liquor taste. Then we could get the Sham-wow guy to promote it for us. The possibilities are endless. On a more serious note, congrats on the outcome and here's to life.
  7. Thanks everyone! It's good to have a Bull again.
  8. I'm with you all the way. I looked high and low for a three pedal car. There are a couple out there but just not for me. I could have ordered one but a 6 month wait would have almost killed me. So, I'll give the e-gear another shot. From what I understand, the new version is much improved. And the throttle blips on the downshifts are pretty cool. The 458 and MP4 are awesome cars but still more than I want to spend. I also like the looks of the Lambo better.
  9. Funny! I do like the original bumber better. Not feeling the new one.
  10. Thank You. As you said, I think only the 560's get the new bumper.
  11. LOL. It does have that new "Lambo" smell. Congrats on the Performante and its new found soul.
  12. And thanks to everyone for the compliments. You all served as part of the inspiration to get this car. P.S. Ragin, those two V12's are sick. Would love one someday.
  13. Thank you. Actually your car and the thread about your purchase experience helped make the decision for a black car all that much easier. I really like the interior on your spyder. Congrats on your collection--spectacular!
  14. Well everyone, it's been almost two years since I've had a Bull in my garage. Since the day I sold my '08 SL, every time I walked into the garage I missed that car. And I have never missed a car before in my life. I tried to fill that void with a GTR--it didn't work. The GTR is a great feat of engineering but does not evoke the emotion a Lambo does. Lambos just have that presence that no other car has. So, a few months ago, I started the search for another Gallardo. After researching and seeing what owners have been saying on the forums, I knew I had to have the LP platform. While I think the '08 SL is a great car, you just can't deny the improvements made to the LP platforms. In particular, the LP550-2 peaked my interest. I have heard nothing but positive things said about the car. My original plan was to pick up a pre-owned 550-2 and save a few $$$. Well, that plan went to hell last week when I just couldn't wait any longer. You only live once I had been eyeing this car for a month. I'm proud to say that I just took delivery of 2013 black LP550-2. I never thought I'd own a black Lambo, let alone a brand new one. But this car spoke to me and I got such a fantastic deal that resistance was futile. I want to say thanks to Giovanni and the guys over at Lamborghini Newport Beach for their incredible service throughout the process. They are top notch and made this the most enjoyable car buying experience I've ever had. Thanks also to you guys/gals here on the forum for your inspiration. It's a great feeling to finally have a Lambo back in the garage. Without further ado, here of some pictures of the latest:
  15. A beautiful Verde Ithaca car with a true 6 speed, no less, sodomized. Too bad. Just needs the black leather and either green or white stitching and piping. Who was the brainiac who ordered it this way...
  16. Impressive numbers from the Chevy, no doubt. But as others have said, the cup tires are a big part of the equation. Put cup tires on the MP3 or GTR and I think the story would change real quick. I'm with Allan, best bang for the buck is the GTR. Of course, I may be a little biased as I own one. But it's still not a Lambo. At the end of the day, I'll take the Aventador or a SL over any of the other cars on the list.
  17. Really like Verde Ithaca. It has grown on me! But not with the insane asylum interior. To each his own though.
  18. Welcome to the Valley. Nice Murcie. I can't speak for the local Lambo dealer but understand they're fine. However, I can without hesitation recommend Brian Cavitt at SuperCar Specialists. Their phone number is 480-948-1199. He is a factory trained Lambo tech who does excellent work and stands behind it. I've met him on several occasions and he's a stand-up guy. Good luck and our cars and coffee is on the first Saturday of the month at Doubletree Ranch and Scottsdale Rd. We also have a semi-monthly meet this Saturday at Raintree and Hayden at Scottsdale Motorsports. Come out if you get time.
  19. Had my '08 SL over 100 on many occasions. Same experience as others have mentioned. Car felt very stable, even at 170 indicated. I would also agree with others to choose your "venue" carefully. The roads where I live are in very good shape and make such antics an easier proposition. I totally agree with Uk Stig about assesing your surroundings and familiarizing yourself with your car's capabilities. I tended to always do pulls on vacant roads. Long answer to the question but yes Lambos are built for over 100. They like it there.
  20. I'll get you some pics when I get home. Unfortunately, I'm out on the road on business until Saturday evening. Will be glad to email you pics on Sunday. Thanks for the interest.
  21. I have one as well with bag. In excellent condition. Cover was used only in the garage and is specially made for '08 SL's. Let me know if interested. Thanks.
