2aftercannonball Report post Posted February 9, 2008 It was asked, so here's kinda the answer. They bolt up, but you wouldn't get very far without spacers on both front and rear. Even then I'm not sure the fronts wouldn't rub when turning. They were bolted on a lowbody, so there may be a better chance of them working on a later car. FWIW its fun to look at! IsleroMan Report post Posted February 9, 2008 Finally! Thank you. That looks awesome! So where is it rubbing on the rear? I would have though it would be on the flares, but if you add spacers, that would bring the wheels out even farther. What size are those, 18" or 19"? They are very close to the swaybar and inner well. The fronts would rub on the inner well when turning, so they would need to be spaced out. They are 18" BTW the wheels are going on a Diablo not the Countach. Just did this for the fun of it.

nsxer Report post Posted February 10, 2008 I love your LP400S, silver looks fantastic! ....but it does not look right with larger wheels. It is very interesting to see that they do bolt right up. When you put the originals back on please take more pictures and post them!!!! Brian
12097 Report post Posted February 10, 2008 Usually I like the stock wheels but these look good. Being that you are putting Murcie wheels on a Diablo, have you tried putting the Diablo wheels on the Countach? If you do try it, could you post the pictures, and more importantly let us know if there are any fitment issues. With Pirelli getting out of the Countach tire supply business (no longer producing front tires) it would be nice to see any other options that might work. Cheers. IsleroMan Report post Posted February 10, 2008 I think early diablo wheels might look better on a ct. Not a fan of those. To me they look too much like the Centerlines everyone puts on their CT kit cars. IMO, the original Murcie wheels are the best wheels since the Bravos. I'm definitely going to look into this some more.
abolfaz Report post Posted February 10, 2008 Those wheels make the car look like an R/C car!

Funny thing is I don't have the Diablo yet. I bought the wheels for a car I don't have. I'm waiting for the PPI to happen. I think the Diablo wheels would have the same offset problem as the Merci wheels.
2aftercannonball Report post Posted February 10, 2008 Here you can see the offset issue. The front wheel is is to far inside the well. The back is about 1/2 inch inside where it needs to be, so spacers would be needed.
lambolp400s Report post Posted February 10, 2008 I don't find a photo now, but there was this QV here in Norway with the early Diablo wheels. Personally, I did'nt like it much. Looked way to big inside the fenders.

Murci Murci Murci Murci Murci. Spell it 5 times and you own it. Emilio, I thought it looked funny as well. On the Countach original wheels look best. MANG Report post Posted February 10, 2008 No doubt the original wheels are the ONLY way to go on any Countach. Car is really awesome in silver!

IsleroMan Report post Posted February 11, 2008 I agree the front wheel looks a bit too big, but the rear looks great to me. I think a 17 front with an 18 rear would be good. Too bad these wheels don't come in 17s. Regardless, it would be a nice option for driving now that Pirellis are no longer available. That way you could save the correct wheels/tires for show. Not all of us can own perfect low bodies with Bravos.
Tony Ierardi Report post Posted February 11, 2008 Not all of us can own perfect low bodies with Bravos. I am humbled and honored by your statement. I am also lucky to have P-Zeros for driving and P-7s for show. Did all the P-Zeros that were made a few years ago get sold and used? Time to get Pirelli to make more. Stick with original wheels, they are an important part of this cars design IMO.
islerodreaming Report post Posted February 12, 2008 I actually think it looks pretty good - not bravo special but it is keeping it in the family as a viable option for driving now tyres are scarce.. Mind you I think it is the awesome silver paint that makes it work..
