IsleroMan Report post Posted September 26, 2008 I got a call from Gary Bobileff today. He's got an Islero available. Sadly I am not in the market, so I didn't get the chassis #. I don't know if its an early car or S model, but it's red/tan, supposedly very nice, and the seller is looking for $145k. IsleroMan Report post Posted September 30, 2008 wow...I didn't know that. Was it something special? Nope, just the right place at the right time. It wasn't even an "S", and it was just a very nice driver, not a 100pt fully restored garage queen.

IsleroMan Report post Posted October 1, 2008 Cant stop drooling over this one! That's the Islero that's killing me. I had a chance to buy it but bought the CT instead for about the same money. At the time I thought no way is an Islero going to be worth more than a CT, and maybe in the long run that will be true, but that was a nice car and has probably doubled in value in the last year, while the CT hasn't moved. Good think I'm not in this for the money.

The Islero is so much car for the money.
samuel930 Report post Posted October 1, 2008 The Islero is so much car for the money. Couldn't agree more. Having both a CT and Islero at the same time. I really appreciated what the Islero stood for. Don't get me wrong the CT is pure sex, but the Islero is in a class all it's own. IsleroMan Report post Posted October 9, 2008 They're just trying to cash in on the Monterey sale. That asking price is $100k over what they bought it for.
IsleroMan Report post Posted January 20, 2009 They still have it. http://www.indigoclassiccars.com/showListing.php?id=27 I contacted the seller yesterday, and now they are asking even more - $175k. I always love that strategy - it's not selling, so it must be too cheap; let's raise the price. I told him that's way too much for a non-S modified car, so he says he's open to offers. I bet he is. Iceman Report post Posted January 20, 2009 Not too familiar with the L Islero. Were there any models made as a cabrio/spyder??
