HREU Report post Posted August 15, 2009 Hey guys, This JUST happened this evening...at the RM Auction. Note: NOT a dealer wholesale auction. VAG had 4 Lambos for sale. I will do my best to recall the prices etc. 1) 08 G SL. Yellow. All options (as far as I could tell). 'Delivery miles' (translated, new no-miles). Sold for $135k. 2) 09 Gallardo. White. $185. 3) 08 Murci. Balloon white. $225k 4) 08 Murci. Black. $225k. Non VAG car. 02 Murci. Yellow. (gorgeous car btw)...$105. A 04 Ferrari Red/ Tan, 10k, tons of options, 6-speed 360 Spyder sold for $105. Overall prices are clearly down for nearly everything vs last year. No big surprise. Some classic Jags, Healeys, Porsches etc were selling for what may of been 50%+ less than 25 months ago.

HREU, Again, I have been offered on August 11, 2009 from a dealership straight buy (cash) price of 150K on my SL yellow with 839 miles, not fully loaded and that is not even a trade in number. I believe your number but why haven't you pick up a Lamborghini yet. Those price seems to be low enough for someone who is seriously interested in picking up either a Gallardo or Murcielago. If the yellow SL has all the options and new no-miles it would be MSRP 265k+ which is impossible to pick one up for more than 130k discount. Please be kind to show us pictures of your Lamborghini or Ferrari after purchasing one.
Ag02M5 Report post Posted August 15, 2009 Although I am looking for an 06 in the 100-110 range, I think I would have splurged for the SL at that price!

The SL was expected to sell for $125-150k, a new LP for $200-225k! http://www.rmauctions.com/FeatureCars.cfm?...D=r371&fc=0 http://www.rmauctions.com/FeatureCars.cfm?...D=r370&fc=
Ag02M5 Report post Posted August 15, 2009 The 10% on top puts it at $148.5. Good price for sure but not unbelievable.

I think some of these wannabes want you to post manheim numbers so instead they make up their imaginary numbers. Let's not give them the satisfaction by providing them what they are looking for. If I am in the market for a new car I would use PM to acquire auction number and I truly believe these post about fake numbers only slowly damage the market. For those people choose to wait and dream I have only two words "KEEP WAITING" because I heard you can get a great deal the year after next year or 2 or 3... years later. 2020 Report post Posted August 16, 2009 so how the fu%K are they saying 225k for an LP640 I looked at an 08 LP640 last week in SoCal with 5k miles Roso Vic, price was 229k and they said make an offer. They sold it wholesale to someone in Florida who is now trying to get 259k. Wholesale definitely must be below 200k like Kane suggested. Add that to the hammer price and you are pretty much equal. If you look at the 560 it brought 185k + 10% = $203,500 and another white one with delivery miles @ Manheim sold for 180K so it was kinda high. The rest of the numbers are not too far off and remember these cars sold at no reserve.
Rouleur Report post Posted August 17, 2009 These were no reserve auction guys. They sold for whatever the highest bidder bid. That is the actual price. As for the buyers premium, there are so many backdoor and backroom dealings, who knows what they actually paid on top of that. Those auctions are like the fcuking wild west when they get rolling. So is Manheim though for that matter.

Iceman Report post Posted August 17, 2009 Here's my take... WHO GIVES A SHIT!! I bought my car at full price and am enjoying it to Hell! I could care less about how much I'm losing till the day I sell it, which is definitely not in the foreseeable future. Those of us experienced with exotic resale know that our return is not in the dollars at sell off, but in the time we enjoyed the car; not to mention the friends I've made (priceless), Rock-Star presence it has portrayed, and the events/charities I've had the honor and privilege to attend, helping those who are not as fortunate. Unless you are a F-Fag or Garage Queen holder, then drive the hell out of them and live it up. There's two ways you can walk through this crap economy recession..... frowning on your knees bitching and moaning, or like most of the true members here, with positive "take no prisoners" attitude and perseverance!! As for those auctions... they're another form of gambling IMO, just like the "speculation" ordeal of the Stock Market. I'd trust Ebay pricing more!! Tonycan Report post Posted August 18, 2009 The Murcis and the SL were all sold by Volkswagen of America. I believe they were cars formerly associated with LOC. Info on another site mentioned theyd were sold "as-is" with no warranty, although that part of the informaton appears somewhat muddled.
