Who doesn't!? :D

What is spinning?

Its the classes that all the hot chicks take on a stationary bicycle at the gym. It burns like 800-900 calories in 1 hour. Really Really tough if you follow it.

Also, you could try swimming. And like said, there's biking, roller blading, etc...you can also try those very short (fifteen minutes), but extremely intense cardio workouts. If you hate cardio, you will despise those, but they get the job done fast.

Maybe if I could increase my wifes libido, I could get hours and hours of cardio in per day that I enjoy. Is there a pill for that? :icon_mrgreen:

mike, camel makes a product called snus that i tried. for the weekends if you must have a cig try this instead.

keep up the good work

I've been using "snus" for 15 years and still going.

I quit smoking once (for a long period) and that was no problems but snus is 10x more addictive and has more nicotine in one dose than a whole pack of ciggs!

I'll bring you some when I come over, you will love the real deal :icon_thumleft:

Try biking or rollerblading.

I competed in Speed skating......that was fun. Especially when you draft the unsuspecting cyclist.

Cardio is king

Spinning: you have an instructor who moves you through a torturous hour of different excersizes on the stationary bike. Ramps up the heart and puts lot of (good) stress on the system.

:eusa_naughty: I Love cardio :icon_thumleft:

:iamwithstupid: I call it "hour of power"

totally relaxes me (its like my therapy)

totally agree

4 days without smoking! Been hitting the gym hard, going to sleep earlier, and feeling a little better every day. I do feel the anger inside that is pent up from not smoking. I used to go smoke to depress my stress, so now it builds up instead. Someone is gonna get it one of these days, and its not going to be pretty. I gained 2 lbs so far which is strange. Havent been eating more, and been going to the gym.

I am back to 231. Still a almost 7lb loss.

Something else to think about if you have time that might help you with your stress and your workouts (among other things) is martial arts. I like Krav Maga myself but any will do, especially the more "sporting" ones.

Used to rollerblade (agressive skating) years ago.

Little OT, Mike, but really?

I was pretty close to making it pro back in the day. Made it to regionals ASA (Milwaukee, i think it was) but never made it to the finals in FL. Came back home and never put my Dirks back on again.

Anywho, keep up the good work. The gym takes a lot of dedication and hard work to see results. It's great, but it sucks at the same time.

Yup. I was never that good, but a group of friends and I used to hit the rails and curbs all around our neighborhood.

I have always wanted to learn aggressive skating, but now I think best if I stick with regular rollerblading and ice skating (though I intend to learn to play hockey half-decently) as I am getting to the age I think where the body takes longer to heal if you fall and injure yourself.

Also I have always been too scared to leap up onto the rails on skates, how does one learn that anyhow without busting your face open or whatnot...? (and yes I am aware you can't use just any skates, you need special ones for that stuff :D).

I am very interested still in break dancing, gymnastics, and free-running (Le Parkour) though.

something about a grown man busting your nuts on a rail. Best to leave the aggressive skating to those that have bending bones.

yup. I wouldnt do it again. I am also a little scared to get back on a bike after what I have been through with bikes.

I used to ride bikes everywhere when I was young. I had mountainbikes, gt performers, Dyno VFR's, etc. When I was in 6th grade, I was riding my bike on my way home from school. I was on a mountainbike, and my friend was in front of me hauling ass. I start cranking on the bike to catch up. There are a couple small hills. At this point I am almost caught up, but going about as fast as I can on a mountainbike. The sidewalk (which is part of a small hill) dips down. At the very bottom, I hit a patch of dry sand. The rear end slides completely sideways, and the handlebars go straight down towards the sidewalk. I go face first into the sidewalk at what had to be 15-20mph. I put my front tooth through my bottom lip, and it comes out of the other side, at which point it broke off. I had a huge gash on my jaw, and my jaw was pushed back for a month. They thought I had broken my neck and my jaw, and I was very lucky that I didnt. I have had TONS of surgeries on my mouth/teeth after this to correct the injuries.

DAMN, that sucks!

I wouldn't try aggressive skating too much or BMX biking now, however I do love riding mountain bikes still, I will always do that.

I had an accident similar to yours, I mentioned it on here some years ago, except I completely lucked out. I was riding along at a brisk pace on my bike and started daydreaming (BIG MISTAKE!), then the next thing I know, "Oh, a steel beam..." BAM!! and next thing I know I am literally standing on my hands in a handstand on the other side of the beam; somehow when the bike hit the beam, I flew headfirst over the handlebars and landed in a handstand.

Really shook me up when it happened.

I also read about a guy who was going down hill at a fairly brisk pace on rollerblades, only to encounter a bump in the road that locked his skates and he went smackdown face-first onto his forehead. Luckily he was wearing his helmet, so he was uninjured, but he said it cracked the helmet in half.

Man I burst out laughing over that statement, just the way you worded it, "I got knocked over by a bus once, nothing serious though..." :lol2:

Seriously, how did you get knocked over by a bus?

thanks for the tips. i might try the cardio in the morning. I know the last time I lost weight I was doing cardio without eating anything at all in the morning and I was told that isn't a good idea but I did lose weight!

you welcome.

just don't go fully empty stomach as said before half scoop whey Isolate or Glutamine+ BCAA (5g each) with you morning coffee will do.

and try to not to exceed 45min and you will be fine, with the right diet the program will help you lose body fat and maintain muscle mass.

ronnie coleman is too big!!

I don't think there is anything wrong with juicing. I'd juice if I knew exactly what I was doing and I had a doctor monitor it. I want the fastest route possible to a perfect body. I just don't want the side effects of juice (acne, going bald, etc.)

you should see where I train.

You aint seen nothing. At least everywhere in the world, there are bike lanes and shoulders.....not here. But, what is working for me is there is a tad more respect than in the States.

I'd have to take off my shoes to count the number of times I've come in contact with a car/bus/truck, but thankfully none have resulted in any serious injury. Despite all that, I have no intention of giving up road riding anytime soon.

Best advice I ever got for road riding is to "assume that you are invisible." It's a certain "ultra-awareness" of being able to notice the small things that could lead to a dangerous situation and preparing appropriately. Frankly, the thousands of hours I've logged on a road bike I feel has made me a better driver when I'm in the car as well.

If someone would create a legal juice with 0 side effects (or very little), I am sure at least 50% of all men would take it.

Plenty of doctors out there that prescribe/monitor rational doses of "T" and GH. They are known as longevity specialists. Most hormones start to decline around 30 years old. These docs just bring you back up to where you used to be in your 20's.

Pretty pricey from what I hear though.

Agreed. Problem is naturally occuring steroids themselves all have side effects. Nothing is going to be purely anabolic without some androgenic effect. However it can be minimized...

Correct, but if the effects were minimal. I.E.-Upset stomach, headache, increased aggression. I could live with that. Not the other effects though-death(obviously), heart attack, stroke, acne, problems with the sac, etc.

Good old-fashioned working out and resistance training can go a long way to keep your testosterone levels up as well as you age. A man age forty-two who works out regularly I believe has a higher level of testosterone than a sedentary forty-two year-old man.
