limey Report post Posted July 13, 2010 Thanks for all the kind words fellas, appreciate it. You can't imagine the time and money put into this project, but will be worth it in the long run. Now, for today's candy, i just got done with this leather centre console section. Opinions welcome, both in colour and stitching. I have a reason to ask this and it's a somewhat loaded question, i'm just looking to confirm or ignore my anal retentive position. I have the dash almost finished and will load these images later today.

limey Report post Posted July 27, 2010 Finished R/H/F today, 100% done. Waiting on some parts to finish the fuel system, then motor goes back in. Before and after R/H/F/ Also, front bumper carbon fibre was badly scratched and such, can be refinished back to 100% OEM if you take the time. Painting black is a cheap easy fix, not something i wanted to do. Suspension overhaul consisted of: Rebuild Shock with new seals Remove & replace both shock bushings Remove upper and lower "A" Arm Bushings Powder Coat Upper & Lower "A" Arms and install all new bushings Replace Wheel Bearing Replace Shock hydraulic hose with custom made unit, Lambo wnated $700.00 for this, cost us $80.00 to make Replace outer tierod end Replace upper & lower ball joints Clear Zinc Plate wheel rotor Yellow Zinc plate all fasteners Replace Brake hose Powder blast brake hose retainers Powder coat brake dust hub Re-seal fender liner Replace splash shields Replace airduct hose Powder Coat Caliper Install BREMBO decals Powder Coat Drive Axle Replace Outer CV Joint & Boot Last pictures, next project :-) Keep an eye on this post, got some very interesting before and after, esp Dyno #'s, if you're into that. limey Report post Posted August 9, 2010 Been working like a mad man lately making the GT 1/4 Panel filler pods. Although you can buy these on ebay and a few other places out of fibreglass or carbon fibre, even the factory sells them for over $2500.00 the set, the problem is they are only part fillers and stop halfway down the 1/4. I wanted them flush with the body work to look as factory fit as possible. So, we made them ourselves. Started of with a simple piece of polystyrine, cut the basic outline, then wrapped it in carbon fibre, & finished up the imperfections with bondo. Primered with a two part epoxy and now ready to paint. This is how they should have been made from day one, i bolted the finished product up to the yellow car just to see the bolt on fit, and it's the tits! Day one GT Filler Finished GT Filler

limey Report post Posted September 20, 2010 Car is now running again and sounds amazing. Will be taken off the lift tomorrow for the 1st time in over a year. This week i'll be detailing the exterior, painting the specs on the engine cover in black and putting the engine cover and boot lid on, new wheels and tires as well as a full alignment. All we're waiting for now is the rest of the leather to be finished.
