Assman Report post Posted July 20, 2012 I think whoever said armchair quarterbacking the scenario is the correct person. I think even unarmed my first priority would be to get my family to safety however possible. Then if they were safe I'd try to think of how to stop the psycho. baazinakon Report post Posted July 20, 2012 I just checked and it is legal for civilians as long as the purchaser/owner is not a felon. I was under the impression that the level of protection of the body armor dictates whether or not it is legal for civilian use. I was in a gun store or military discount store a few years ago with a friend and the shop had a bullet proof vest, but said it was for LEOs or military only. SV-N-IT Report post Posted July 20, 2012 did he possibly think he would get away with this? obviously he planned to avoid getting shot and escaping out the back door. i wonder what the 2nd part of his plan was. (after he escaped) this has a similar feel of 9/11 which makes me sick.
EricT Report post Posted July 20, 2012 Do you guys really think there are now going to be tons of murderers lining up to see this movie? I very seriously doubt it, go watch you movie and enjoy it. If you are that scared just bring you C&C with you. Exactly what I was thinking.
Jpegs13 Report post Posted July 20, 2012 My kids just came back from seeing the movie "Ted". Police were stationed at the door of each theater. Sigh

I hope they cut his balls off in prison and slice his face from ear to ear and let him bleed to death.
norcal2 Report post Posted July 20, 2012 They are reporting now he was armed with a AR-15, Remington H-70 shotgun, and a Glock-40. He was wearing a ballistic helmet, tactical ballistic vest, ballistic leggings, groin protector, throat protector, and gas mask :o He had to stop and reload and did, and no one took him down...WTF... This old man didnt run and hide...took out a couple of punks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mm9o3vhKoF8

Roman Report post Posted July 20, 2012 I know his protective gear was good, really good, which is why I commented wondering how he got it. He had full protection, chest, head, groin, leg, and throat too. Whoever sold the gear to him is going to face the max for whatever charges the DA can pile on. Theres no law against selling or owning any of that. Knowing his gear was good, you don't think a common pistol 9mm, .45, 357, etc., would have any impact on the shooter's ability to continue to attack? I guess I am just surprised to hear that it wouldn't phase him, as I've seen pictures of the people who have been shot with vests on, and the bruising is massive. To cause that kind of bruising indicates the body suffered an incredible impact, one that would seemingly stun and/or prevent someone from continuing to attack. Wouldnt have slowed him down for a second. CCW wouldnt have made a difference here- DARK. TEAR GAS/SMOKE. If you do have a gun, and you are trained you aim CENTER MASS (and because its dark and youre blinded by the fcuking gas, you have NO IDEA he has a vest on)... You get a round or two off, he returns fire, youre dead.... hes not...
Assman Report post Posted July 20, 2012 He had to stop and reload and did, and no one took him down...WTF... Did he? How many rounds with the three guns did he have? Glock 15-31 rounds Remington 2-6 rounds. At-15 up to 100 rounds Plus quick release reload on the pistol and ar. He used shock and awe to keep People running and cowering rather than making a disarming move. These psychos plan this shit our for hours/days/months. The victims had seconds to react. Best scenario would have been an armed off duty police or an armed or unarmed unarmed military specialist like a seal or ranger since they are trained to keep their shit and take out the aggressor. Statistically, that's the winning percentage. He didnt reload. He opened up with the shotgun, when it ran dry, he dumped it and switched to the AR with a beta 100 rd drum mag. When it ran out he left.

The eye witness reports i heard said the shooting stopped while he reloaded..and continued on...perhaps my past military training was more than running away...even with gas involved. Roman Report post Posted July 20, 2012 still time to take him down... Unless you're right next to him. And for some reason he hasn't already shot you.... You're not getting to him. You're sitting. In a packed fcuking movie theater. In the fcuking dark. Think about how difficult it is just to get up during a film to hit the head. It takes forever. And now there are wounded and dead bodies between you and him. And people hiding behind the seats... The floor is slippery from blood and spilled food and soda.... In the time it takes you to get up and negotiate your way to him, unless he accidentally shot both of his own thumbs off, he's reloaded and zeroing in on you, and your ass is just another shot up mess. BLACKBULL Report post Posted July 20, 2012 Century theaters has a no firearms policy. They will now!! I'll tell you one thing, if I were the arresting officer I would seriously have considered ruining my career to teach this f**k a lesson!! R.I.P. to all the victims. BLACKBULL Report post Posted July 21, 2012 Someone that needs to be shot? Assman, luv you like a brother, but...HuH??? BTW: a CC holder wouldn't need to penetrate the vest. Shooting at the perps feet would have worked just fine.

No way on earth you would timed out him reloading..lol Unless he was right next to you and ran out in that exact moment, your ass is running ducking out that movie theater. he could have had night googles on top of that. Yeah I didn't know we had all the members of team six present on the board. I would have used the first dude I saw in a batman costume as a human shield and got the fcuk out, i got work in the morning.
