Used Lamborghini Aventador

Please don't buy a Lambo. You will mess it up or it will mess you up. What do you drive now? A Lambo takes experience to handle

Btw, I heard med school and residency takes a lot of time. Good luck with running an online business. Any successful biz takes time and that can be a distraction from school. If you want to make money, go to law school. Don't be a doctor.

Second thought, If you have $150k, go get an aventador tmr morning and lease or finance it.

In all seriousness, I would never lease a lambo. And I am not going to reply to your comments about my personal life, although it is nice to see how much you care. I am here to talk about cars.

So you are going to take every ounce of money you have saved and go buy a depreciating asset - I didn't say Lambo. Any car - if you have $300K cash go buy a house first. Making $200K per month is an OK salary, but save up until you start making some real money. Also I think you will be surprised at how much you do make when you get out of med school. It most likely won't be $200K unless you are a specialist.

I don't know why you think your love of fast cars dies out. It doesn't - trust me on that.

Buying these cars isn't just about affording the car, it is about affording the mods, and the repairs. I have had my Lambo for about a month. In that time I had to fix 2 rims, buy 2 new tires. Ended up getting a transmission for one of my vipers, so all in all $10K this month.

If you are smart as you think you are, then take your smarts and do the smart thing.

Please ban this kid until at least 2015. He makes Med School grads look bad.

:iamwithstupid:

Not nearly as bad as the credit card kid but not far off.

I'm planning on selling it after a 3-4 years. And I don't think it will depreciate that much. Cars depreciate the most in the first 3-4 years they are out, so I don't think I will be out that much money. And I said I want to spend 200k, so I have at least 100k left over for insurance and other costs. And I think I will have over 100k extra by that time as well. Overall, I think the money I will be down when I sell it will be worth it to have. Plus I will have a guaranteed job making money. Like I said before, if I didn't have motivation for this lambo, I wouldn't be making money right now. So, I look at this cash as spending money.

Its your money so you can do what you want and I hope you enjoy your car. However I still think it is a terrible move. You can't count on a job you don't have, you can't count on things out of your control. Personally for me, I like knowing I never have to work another day in my life, and my family will always be financially secure - you aren't married, so you don't have that burden.

If you are going to do this I would set a goal of having $500K in the bank before you get one of these. then I would look at the returns you are making on the $500K and if you are making more of a return then what you could get a loan for then get a loan on the car. I personally got 2.99% on my car. I could have paid cash for it, but I am making way more than 2.99% on my investments. Once you become an accredited investor a whole new level of investments opens up. Trust me it is fun playing with the cars, but it is WAY more fun to invest in a startup as an angel investor and turn $200K into 2.5M in less than 2 years.

Okay so let's say I decide that I shouldn't spend that much money. But, I am still going to buy an expensive car, with the absolute lowest being 50k, more around 100k. What would you suggest. A GTR? a used Gallardo?

Both of those are solid choices for under $100. You'll be able to do a pretty highly modified GTR for about what you'll find a stock Gallardo for. A GTR isnt going to have anywhere near the appeal so if you're adamant about the exotic appeal of a Lambo you'll want a Gallardo.

Mistake #1 attitude- You think future accolades qualifies you in a tight nit community who prides themselves on vetting members.

Mistake#2 disrespectful- when challenged appropriately by commonplace critical thinking you lash out and disrespect the very community your asking for help from.

Mistake #3 hopes and dreams- this isn't a forum built around dreamers, it's built by first hand experience and owners and that's why it's respected. You can find plenty of other forums out there with members who aren't qualified who will be more than happy to banter hypotheticals back and forth with you until 2015. This forum however doesn't operate that way, and if you didn't know that before you sure as shit do now.

How about your grow up gain some valuable life experience out of the classroom and when your ready to pull the trigger start a thread asking for advice.
