So when Lambos lose excuses are not acceptable but when GTRs lose we need to "understand the data?" Because in theory the GTR "it's the best & fastest car in the world"? ....

 

You win some and you lose some... GTRs are great cars but Lambos are just as good and they can be just as fast or even faster... The competition is very tough so there is not need for excuses.

with all due respect, UR, if i had a buck for each time i've come across the terms "street tires" and "shop car" on this forum, i'd get guacamole wither every single one of my chipotle orders. you guys build the fastest cars, and on the coolest platform. you don't need to get mired in the he said/she said fanboy-ism. let your cars speak for themselves.

I don't see Tony putting his data/dyno after the run as a big deal or as an excuse. Thats just me. He admitted he lost and simply gave us data , PSI, fuel and a dyno run. If it made 2300 people would not get upset. Just b/c it made 1955 it seems like people are thinking its an excuse. It does not matter if he made 2400 or 1800 and lost. He still lost.so he is not disputing that.

 

Its just data. someone in this post said the car makes 2300whp. That's why i posted what the car made.

My take is this...

 

Props to T1. Seems like a nice guy. Car ran well.

 

Props to AM-S , you were not here for this round, but build a nice car.

 

Lots of babble about why T1 didn't win. If T1 released that info, then shame on them. Who says if you map sensor worked that you wouldn't have exploded your block on 66psi or what ever.

 

The AM-s car is not a street car ... Really the T1 isn't either. Exhaust out the hood? Like a diesel truck having stacks ....Um.... Gay

Fuel cells, weight reduction ... Blah blah.

 

At the end of the day ... It lost.

 

Being I can drive what I want .... I have a. URG Gallardo. Hands down the best.

 

And if I got beat by a nissan, I'd still sleep well at night knowing I have a Lambo .... And a R8 if we are counting.

I have NEVER used tires as a reason that we have lost, not once. When talking about our setup, we always let people know that we use street tires and that the only cars that can run with my customers cars are shop race cars. Thnx

He was making more than 1955whp, maybe not through a bit of his last gear but the data log shows the car was fine 90% of the run until he maxed his sensor out or whatever. The acceleration part of his log (after the sensor fail) to me looked like it was still maintaining the same pull as it did before the sensor maxed. Think about what i have posted and you will see my point.

 

Tony should have relized this as well, maybe an oversight to claim of only making 1955HP, he forgot about the area of the track where his car was up to power and running fine, well into where he could be all in on boost well before the sensor maxed out.

I love both platforms and don't have a dog in the fight. Tony's post give us 6 months of anticipation that a ballz to the walls Gtr can still give the ultimate platform a run for its money at the next TI.

yes i agree. His car was prob 2-3-4-5 or what ever gear he was in the early part of the race was 2270whp. only way he could have held you there.
