The Aventador is so unreliable

On my 3rd one (and not because they are unreliable that I have to change them, just want to try different models), all seem quite solid and bullet-proof to me.

Just buy prepaid cards using that cash - 2M baht takes a bit of space in a bag and can be sniffed by the dogs. Or much better, get Bitcoin for it and cash it out in Thailand. That's the #1 way to move cash across borders without anyone noticing, and it is legal.

Wow....I read this thread with great interest as I want to buy an Aventador Roadster and I'm trying to learn all I can.

 

RIP to the OP.....and the best line of the thread was when he was in front of a trendy establishment and the car wouldn't start. The tow truck came to pick it up with all the patrons laughing in the background.

I am loyal to the core to Lambo. 4 Avedntadors and every 2500 to 3000 miles or every 5 weeks. I am towed ... just saying. its a fact of life for me. I cary black tape so I don't see the freaking engine lights on all the time. In the first 100,000 miles between the my two first aventadors I was towed or serviced a minimum of 30 times. every 3k miles.

 

Day before goldrush ... (mid may) I was serviced... my car is in shop for 5 days now. again (2500 miles later and 4-5 weeks later.

 

 

Most people who drive them put 5k miles on em and sell them. they had maybe one problem. my last SV had 20k or more and was serviced 7 times and my current is same same

 

I love how I am treated and I'm dealing with it.

 

I love the cars and am 100% loyal

 

I "over-service" telling the shop... while its there do anything preventative each time...

 

My bently is actually the same... every 3k there is a bowel shaking fuking nightmare

 

I lease a Honda for my mom and every three years she returns it with 30k miles on it ... never an oil change never a service... never once a problem,

 

But I get naked chicks all over my lambo on a regular... I never get that on my moms Honda.. and I wont rally gumball3000 in any car but an aventador.

hot sexy exotic cars and hot sexy women are high maintenance and expensive to keep... I embrace it like a baller. If it was not this way.... everyone would have one or more of each.

Title did just remind me of a recent experience, was in Monaco with several other lambos, decided to convoy up the hills for a group shot, leaving casino square made a bit of noise (lunchtime so shouldn't really upset anyone) and got told off, but the tourists loving it anyway just before entering the tunnel out whee it is single carriageway brand new Aventador S goes into limp mode, gearbox fault, guy stops and it just shuts down totally, won't restart or do anything and locked in gear so can' even push it out of the way.

 

Massive traffic due behind us and then all the cruise ship old people day trippers start with the heckling "should have bought a Fiat" etc, people behind getting really annoyed as they just think we have stopped for pics and to cause a scene.

 

On/off x10 still nothing and then just when called recovery tried it one last time and it just starts and is totally fine!!

 

 

Was funny but also annoying!
