  2. Jpegs13...... I can appreciate the suffering you and your family are going through. Please stay strong, and rely on your family to pull through. In times like this a man's character is shown. Rise to the occassion and you will be a better person. Just find a quiet moment when you can look at your situation and determine your course of action. Good luck!!!

  5. My intial reaction after hearing the "Sandusky" report is that there seems to be only two options as far as Penn State is concerned; either close the school...or permanently ban them from the NCAA.
  6. Wikipedia: The free encyclopedia This article incorporates information from the equivalent article on the Japanese Wikipedia. Mazda Cosmo There have been four generations of Mazda automobiles which went by the name of Cosmo, although they are not all particularly related. All were Grand tourers, with the first proving a successful launch for the Mazda Wankel engine and acting as a "halo" vehicle for the new Mazda brand. Later Cosmos competed in the ultra-high luxury performance market in Japan with the final JC Cosmo (1990–1995) sold as the Eunos Cosmo - Eunos was a luxury sales channel similar to Toyota's Lexus brand. The first Mazda to bear the Cosmo name (called the 110S) was the first 2-rotor rotary engine powered series car. A prototype was introduced at the 1964 Tokyo Motor Show, and 80 pre-production Cosmos were produced for the Mazda test department (20) and for dealership testing (60) between 1965 and 1966. Full production began in May 1967 and lasted through 1972, though Cosmos were built by hand at a rate of only about one per day, for a total of 1,176. The car was also featured in the show Return of Ultraman. The Series I/L10A Cosmo was powered by a 0810 two-rotor engine with 982 cc of displacement and produced about 110 hp (thus the 110 name). It used a Hitachi 4-barrel carburetor and an odd ignition design - two spark plugs per chamber with dual distributors. A 4-speed manual transmission and 14 inch (335 mm) wheels were standard. The front independent suspension was A-arm/coil spring design with an anti-roll bar. The rear used a live axle with a de Dion tube, trailing arms, and semi-elliptic leaf springs. Power-unassisted 10 inch (254 mm) disk brakes were found in front with 7.9 inches (201 mm) drum brakes in the rear. Performance in the quarter-mile (400 m) was 16.4 s, with a 115 mph (185 km/h) top speed. The price was lower than the Toyota 2000GT at 1.48 million yen (US$4,100).
  7. Not specifically this particular case, but are you saying that in general conspiracy theorists and conspiracy theories are wrong?? Just curious.

  11. Latest news from NY POST article: Penn State officials decided against reporting Sandusky after talking with Paterno: report By DAN GOOD Last Updated: 7:50 AM, June 30, 2012 Posted: 1:38 AM, June 30, 2012 Penn State officials decided against reporting Jerry Sandusky on child sex accusations a decade ago after discussing the situation with iconic football coach Joe Paterno, according to a new report. Paterno, now deceased, had argued that he wasn't aware of the depth of Sandusky's transgressions. CNN’s report, which aired Friday on Anderson Cooper 360, reveals emails shared in 2001 between school president Graham Spanier, athletic director Tim Curley and administrator Gary Schultz, after grad assistant Mike McQueary told the officials he saw Sandusky – a longtime assistant coach at the school – sexually abusing a boy in an on-campus shower. According to CNN, Schultz emailed Curley on Feb. 26, 2001 about a plan to talk with Sandusky, alert his charity, The Second Mile, and “contact the Department of Welfare.” The next night, CNN reports, Curley emailed Spanier and Schultz with a change of plans. “After giving it more thought and talking it over with Joe (Paterno) yesterday, I am uncomfortable with what we agreed were the next steps. I am having trouble with going to everyone, but the person involved (Sandusky),” Curley allegedly wrote. Curley’s plan? Talk to Sandusky about the accusations – as well as a previous incident in 1998, but to keep the punishment ‘in-house.’ CNN reports that Spanier responded two hours later in support of Curley’s plans, writing, “The only downside for us is if the message isn’t ‘heard’ and acted upon, and we then become vulnerable for not having reported it. But that can be assessed down the road.” Penn State never reported the allegations against Sandusky to law enforcement, and Sandusky wasn’t investigated for child sex abuse until 2009. Earlier this month, he was found guilty on 45 different counts against him. He faces a maximum sentence of 442 years in prison. Tom Kline, a lawyer for one of Sandusky's victims, said he was shocked by the emails. "It is unquestionable that had these men not engaged in a concerted, conscious, collaborative effort not the report this to authorities, that the young man who I represent would not have been assaulted in the showers some six months later," Kline told CNN. Curley and Schultz are charged with perjury, accused of lying to a grand jury investigating Sandusky. They have both maintained their innocence, and their lawyers released a statement to CNN, saying “Faced with tough situations, good people try to do their best to make the right decisions.” Spanier resigned as Penn State’s president in November. He has not faced any charges connected to the Sandusky investigation. Paterno was fired in November and died of lung cancer in January, the winningest football coach in NCAA Division I history – but a coach whose legacy has been marred by the Sandusky scandal. 14. Americans are tired of the ineffectiveness of both political parties in finding solutions to the problem of healthcare. NOTHING is getting done!!! I have a suggestion for a model of healthcare that could address all of these issues. The govt' could provide tuition relief for med students that provide services to govt agencies such as veterans hospitals, healthcare centers etc. For every year of service a predetermined percentage of their tuition bills would be eliminated and in addition they would receive a training level salary. This would quickly provide more doctors to hospitals and healthcare centers all over the country. Extra incentives could be provided to med students who provide care in under serviced areas (such as the Ozarks, Midwest etc). The students would get the experience they need (after being mentored of course), provide care to more people and improve services. Insurance companies, hospitals and doctors would have standardized costs for all types of services provided. This could be done on a state by state basis to account for regional differences, and allow states control. Once the rates are determined between all affected parties doctors & hospitals and individual states would know that whatever billing is submitted would be paid in full and pricing is cost effective. This will avoid doctors overcharging & ordering unneccessary tests, meds etc. and reduce insurance fraud. Require pharmaceutical companies to pay the govt royalties on all medications that are created through the use of govt funds. Pharmaceutical companies would also be allowed to control patents for a longer period of time (TBD by consensus agreement). Also eliminate the use of generic medications, and have standardized costs of meds provided. Govt would be able to get bulk rates for meds and supplies used by govt institutions and private companies get guaranteed income. Any desired changes in rates would be negotiated either by predetermined schedule or consensus agreement. Negotiators could include representatives from all of the states (not the fed govt), and the companies involved. Still trying to figure out how citizens & pharmacies would fit in. Basic premise is to give profits to those that are entitled, and get meds. supplies and treatment to those that need it. This is NOT about political idealogy, but about being able to solve a problem. What do you think and what suggestions do you have???
  15. Boner... Keep it simple as follows; you should have two lists of people in your life: One list has your employees...and there purpose is making you money. The second list is for people whom you enjoy...their purpose is to have good times with. Whenever you meet someone put them on one of the two lists AND NEVER MIX THE TWO LISTS!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF YOU DO THE FOLLOWING ENEVITABLY HAPPENS: Those good friends will make lousy employees and you will wind up with NEITHER a friend or an employee. Those good employees will make lousy friends and you will wind up with NEITHER an employee or a friend. EXECPTION: A person can move from the friend list to the employee list AND from the employee list to the friend list, BUT THEY CAN NEVER BE ON BOTH LISTS AT THE SAME TIME!!!!.....AND ONCE THEY ARE MOVED TO THE OTHER LIST THERE IS NO GOING BACK!!!!! YOU HAVE BEEEN WARNED!!!!!!!

  18. New information always has the potential to change the perspective of a situation. It's like coming around a corner and seeing a 6'6 man pounding on a 5'5 man. You jump in to help the shorter guy only to find out later that the short guy was in the wrong and the taller man was actually fighting for his life. In all fairnesss the biker seems like he was being a total a**hole who endangered the officers safety and the safety of other motorists by constantly slamming on his brakes to provoke and prevent the officer from doing his job.
  19. Obviously none of the molested boys fathers are from Texas..if so we wouldn't be having this conversation!!!
