  1. I think he is right. The F70 will be a serious over and above production car to be reckoned with and has no business being compared to the V. The venereal is even more of a marketing exercise than the reventon was....except imho hideous in every way. Why oh why do they not back up these things up with function as well as form ? Releasing something which a CGI co would offer up for a low budget logans run sequel does not work unless it has comparative over and above performance to match. You buy this thing and then a gtr/911/ or big amg is going to keep you honest in 99% of the real world circumstances....and you become the biggest moron around just for owning it. If this carries on then Lambo will become a bit of joke.....sadly. Keep with the great base models...all good there, but don't release these stupid one off's until they are worthy off carrying the badge....uber Lambo's needs to be uber fast..ER; or not at all. Get it together Lambo.....
  2. There will be no pedals soon.
  3. It should be called the Hawkwind... I really hope this is not just another Reventon ? How will this perform next to the P1 etc....?
  4. Stunning design the 308. In reality it is this along with the Ct and not the Testarossa which our generation grew up with...
  5. If the 959 is anything to go by then the Veyron has no problems with value down the line.....
  6. It was bits stuck on a QV for testing...here is the young Horacio with it..
  7. That is horrendous...just give me the cash next time
  8. I find the diablo feels much bigger, and has the sense of you sitting far further forward with a lot more behind you... Exhaust note please :-)

  10. They're completely different types of cars ?
  11. Absolutely, and he's a very nice guy too.... What's with all these V12 comments ??
  12. It will get you to the worlds biggest ball of twine however.....
  13. Whats the outright top speed of these cars ?
  14. Some people are always pontificating on here about the authenticity of the CT design.....once fat wheels and wheel arches were added they all look beefed up from there on in....and imho look better for it. The only major aesthetic change is the side skirts, which everyone slags the 25th for, and yet the 88.5 gets utmost respect for ??? The changes to the fan ventilation on the 25th are a vast improvement over the earlier more dated design, and the same with the front spoiler. The rear lights are simply a design, and one isn't more crude than the other but for sure one looks more modern than the other, and that was the sole purpose. The LP400 was the first, and had the impact hence, but holy grail ?? I personally don't think it looks anywhere near as good as the later cars....if they were the same value which would you take ? IMHO the only thing that takes away from the CT is a wing (let alone two)....it goes from a classic design to an RC silhouette. Look at the side profile and the change with or without is one that completely alters the cars persona.
  15. Jesus...don't you guys have any decent DD's over there...from all the comments past and present it wouldn't seem so ?? It's lovely Allan, and it sounds almost identical to mine with the same cans.....post up some throttle blips...would like to hear
  16. Poor poor girl, i'm guessing she was alive and they simply couldn't get her out in time. That is simply horrendous. She must have been going some and having fun.....but I have to agree that at 19 she was probably not ready for that sort of a car. Parents or husband must be beyond expression.
  17. This was the TR guy posting on FChat after it in '94; Thank you for all your support guys (and gals). The whole thing was a bit of a miss-mash when it was being recorded, but I must admit I did have a lot of fun doing it! I had the Castle Combe circuit virgually to myself all day (a tank and a half of fuel) for 30 seconds of footage on the programme! The guy in the lambo had not even been to the circuit when they recorded the programme. I spent two days, one at Caslte Combe and one at Beaulieu and didn't even get a letter of thanks or a video/cd of the footage as they promised me. As I said before, I did enjoy it but I would not rush to do it again. For those of you who have asked about the polish I use on the car, I have prepared the car over the winter with Zymol, starting with the Klay, then de-greaser, finishing with Vintage Polish. It's a natural product, doesn't take ANY paint, whatsoever, off the car. I've also done the 360 with it, and that too looks amazing! It's not cheap, it's hard work, but well worth all the money and effort. Thanks also for the PM's and emails of support. RAY360M http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthrea...5439&page=2 According to them it was a 512....i'm confused.
  18. There are of course more important things in the world....but should this not at least be in a car section ? I'm guessing this is a 'racing car' topic but then so have many many others been...or is it that it's a crash...and if so then at least put this is ' Damn'....as per Nath4N's would be relative apt response.
  19. Yup, I bought mine with 1750 kms on the clock I think, albeit a long time ago, and it looked as though is was as new, except for the engine bay....as with the carb cars, short journeys and standing still for a lot of the time will cause seepage...which I find VERY annoying. The cracking of paint etc may be a weather issue ? Not so much of an issue over here. The seals...yes, no question. I am looking forward to hearing how the Fi sounds with the QS exhaust by comparison to the carbed. If i am honest I remember I was expecting more 'throat' at lower RPM, but without a blip it is not as loud as some other makes. You will now also have flames however :-) Congrats Allan, it is going to be stunning and another CT which will be around for a long time to come.
  20. I can imagine the number of deaths being impressive. These cars are heavy with tech to make them safe so that we can drive them. The vast majority, over 90% maybe, of people who buy an Aventador will probably never exploit more than 60% of the cars overall ability. As far as the manufacturers are concerned these cars are already more than capable for the punters who buy them, most of whom drive around being looked at with the occasional ' look at me' burst .
