  1. I can safely say that's exceptionally accurate.
  2. Future conceal carry? Here's a list of guns you should look into, not all of them, just off the top of my head... - Glock 26 (9mm) - Glock 27 (.40) - Glock 29 (10mm) - Glock 30 (.45) - Glock 43 (9mm Single Stack) - H&K P30 SK - H&K P2000 SK - Sig Sauer P225 - Walther P99C w/ AS Trigger - Springfield Armory XD/XDS - S&W M&P C's - 3" and 4" 1911s
  3. You can use CopyArtwork.com and vectorize the image, request a quote and explain to them what you need exactly, then any decal printer can print them for you and cut them on a plotter.
  4. The PPQ is a great gun, tighter tolerances than Glocks, in my opinion more accurate, however, I'm just not particularly fond of it compared to the P99 with the Anti-Stress (AS) trigger. That was a phenomenal firearm for the money, eventually I'll be picking up another second generation P99 AS in 9mm. It ultimately depends on what you're going to be using it for, are you using it for training with constant trips to the range and going to get down and dirty? Or are you using it to occasionally punch holes in paper? Is it going to be a home defense pistol? Etc. I would recommend looking into the Sig Sauer P229 Enhanced Elite, without knowing your particular requirements, it's currently one of my favorite pistols.
  5. D'oh, sorry it's Avery Light Green Pearl.
  6. Avery Lime Green Pearl is what you're looking for. I'm 99% sure that's the name of the color, I just don't have my sample book on me at home, once I get to our shop I'll verify.
  7. Just dropped by my gunsmith's to check out how the stipling project is going on my Glock 26, ended up seeing this gem and had to take a nice pic of it...
  8. The collective brain trust on an aviation forum I'm on is suggesting that it may be settling with power, although that's questionable based on the sink rate. http://www.copters.com/aero/settling.html
  9. You have to be MUCH more careful in helicopters as opposed to planes, it takes effort to stall a plane, and it doesn't happen right away there are plenty of warning signs leading up to it. Even if you put a plane into a flat spin/spiral spin.
  10. Dynamic Combat Solutions, he's local to me but I wouldn't use anybody else after my experience with him. He's updating his website as we speak because I told him it looks like a five year old did it, but his Instagram shows a bunch of his work.
  11. My wife has been bugging me that she wants to have her Glock cerakoted Tiffany blue, so I finally found a guy locally that's certified by Cerakote to do it, came out pretty damn great. Have him stipling my Glock 26 as we speak.

    Go buy a gun

What do you guys think about this latest news regarding the fact that they found a pillow over his head?
  13. Looks awesome! Do you do any other post editing aside from PixInSight? Just curious if you're trying to keep it all natural or haven't bothered with messing with the pics in another program.
  14. Glad my info wasn't completely off base, thanks!
  15. From what I understand, SEALs have been using Glocks for quite some time. It's just now the individual teams won't be utilizing their budget to purchase their Glocks, instead the Navy's budget will be utilized for purchasing them in bulk, allowing the teams to use their funds for other acquisitions. Although I'm sure Charlie will correct me very soon if I'm wrong about how it works.
  16. For domestic I love Virgin America, but I've gotten lucky with their limited destinations.
  17. Those stocks are actually surprisingly light, although yeah I think going with an ACE skeleton stock might also help you shed some more weight in addition to them being extraordinarily comfortable.
  18. This. I miss the regular suede black and white speedcats.
  19. Absolutely. I got my PPL in December, working on my instrument as we speak. Purchased my first plane two months ago and have loved every moment of it. The world becomes much smaller once you have your license. If my wife and I want to go to grab lobster rolls, we can fly up to Maine for lunch in a little over an hour and a half from New Jersey, if we want to go to Montauk to the beach it's 45min. ...and then you can have other types of fun aside from getting from point A to point B...
  20. @maciejrogozinski and @elitevinyldesign
  21. Made a quick trip to KMGJ to check out my future plane choices, the DA40 and DA42; unbelievable how quiet the diesel DA42 is, and how quick it is, 200kt cruise.
  22. Damn, could have sworn they'd be higher than 8'. In that case I'll gladly admit I'm wrong.
  23. The likelihood of that happening is EXTRAORDINARILY slim, in the Hudson the waves are relatively tame, in the ocean those waves on a calm day are going to be 20'-30' minimum. To set that plane down without it tearing apart would be a miracle.
