  1. Hello, my name is Mike and I just wanted to chime in on the status of the paddles. As AG02M5 stated David is no longer with us but he filled me in on what is going on with the paddles. At this point, we are just waiting for a phone call from our mold maker in Colorado. I'll follow up with more information soon as we hear something from him which will be later today.
  2. After over 5 years with Fabspeed and much deliberation,I came to the conclusion that it is my time to move on and see what else is out there for me, today being my last day. I know it's a little unorthodox for a vendor to say "goodbye", however this is my favorite forum and I have made a lot of friends here, some who I consider very close and I suspect I will talk to forever. I wanted to thank you all for having me.. I learned a remarkable amount about everything from Lambos of course, to architecture, investing (thanks swill ), Kabob (I actually mean kebab) (I actually mean kebab) (I actually mean kebab), the list goes on. If for some reason anyone needs to get ahold of me, Fadi (kisco) can get us in touch. Fabspeed will have someone take over on here that I am sure will take good care of everyone. Have a great New Year's Eve and a healthy and prosperous 2015! - Dave Rossi
  3. It's a shame you opted to skimp on the door sizing
  4. sorry I missed this, Sal's the man! He turned me on to this when I got our first LP700 in. Did it do what you needed?
  5. lol, only on Lambopower would someone post this thread with this house and compare it to another house on here with a disclaimer that it may disappoint! Congrats on the house and reno. the go kart track sounds awesome!
  6. I have heard nothing but great things about Premier. I think they're Nor Cal, but it may be worth the expense of shipping it up to them if they do that good of a job
  7. great choice! I just did a set of wheels on one that went a little "against the grain" for typical aftermarket wheels these days.. I love it though. Like previously posted, an ECU tune is a must! I am about to do a set of Fox racing shocks on this one and add a matching 5th wheel to the back
  8. Is there more to the story? not defending the guy but isn't there usually more to these stories? I do envy his gun and car collection. ::edit:: I should rephrase that, it wouldn't ever be OK to kick a woman, or anyone in the face. I just wonder if the entire thing a publicity stunt. Now the woman is demanding a million dollars or will take him to court? I saw the video, you cant make out anything in it from what I saw.
  9. no worries! It looks like you've been having fun though from your Facebook posts
  10. congrats Nick! PT and I were texting late two nights ago about a few of his latest purchases.. he asked me what my "grail" car is, I told him a Grigio Telesto 640 coupe, manual trans with yellow calipers, yellow Q stitching with alcantara centers, etc. he sent me pictures of your new car (didnt tell me it was yours) and I think my exact response was "yea, nevermind yellow, that's the one" haha. Enjoy it in the best health!
  11. thanks Chad! We generally don't produce exhausts with the "high pitch" sound, but on the Murci with our high flow cats and x-pipe it really does sound amazing. I drove a customers 640 with our full exhaust from our shop in Philadelphia to his house in upstate NY and got a TON of compliments on the way. It also wasn't so loud that at the end of 4-5 hours I was in pain (although my back may say otherwise). jump to 1:50
  12. I'm not sure what they're doing to make it right. I gave them the car and the parts and told them to make it perfect (short of re-spraying the entire thing). As for painting the hood.. yea, it was a tough call. It was gorgeous looking but a little too "racey" looking for an SUV. I think the little accents are perfect. If it were a coupe, or even sedan I suppose it may be a different story, on an SUV though I think a full, unpainted carbon hood would be overkill.
  13. updates from the body shop! Car is almost done and back to me for finishing touches. It looks UNREAL. in no particular order I had the clear section of the taillights tinted. goes along very nicely with the carbon accents they disassembled the entire front end to paint and blend the hood and skirts. like i said earlier, the hood was being painted and the vents left exposed.. I think it gives it the perfect amount of "flair" while still looking mostly OEM. I had the M-Performance side skirts painted, the center part came painted silver and was supposed to remain like that. I didn't think it matched so I had it re-done in carbon fiber. I also had them paint the engine cover while they were at it. and when I get it back I have this Hamann piece waiting to go on the center between the blue pieces. I also found this picture I took a while back and never posted. A nice side by side of the Akra vs. OEM
  14. couldn't you put a little recession in the ceiling? like a coffer? That may be the wrong term, but would give you another 4" maybe?
  15. I think the command was under the aerodynamics module and it's called output test. like I said it cycles all the vents and spoilers open and closed. it does it slow enough that you can reach in and grab the plug though. It's also handy and able to check fault codes (I'm fairly certain it can delete as well, I really don't remember but one of my techs said it does). I have used it on Bentleys, R8's, LP's, my personal Audi S4, VW's obviously, Porsches from 993s to 991s. For the price it's invaluable and the best thing next to the OEM LARA tool for a tiny fraction of the price.
  16. I'm not sure if this is for non-owners as well, but I have been with Fabspeed longer than any other salesperson and now manage the retail sales guys. I had my pick of which forums to manage and which Marques to handle. I went with Lamborghini (along with other smaller brands) because the owners don't take themselves as serious as other brands, drive the cars more and generally seem to have more fun. I have made some great friends through this forum as well as through Lamborghini as a brand that I suspect will be friends for life regardless of whether I am still with Fabspeed.
  17. I'm hoping to hear back from your partner about my potential build soon
  18. I was talking to one of my good friends last night who owns a TT-S about just that. I was saying if I had that money and could only spend it on ONE car to fill every roll.. the Turbo or Turbo-S would be it. And it is SO easy to drive well. Porsche has always been on point with their turbos, but with the 991 they really hit it out of the park. A shoot we did with aforementioned friends 991 and the GT3 we have here for R&D.
  19. just get a Vagcom. We use it for every intsall. you plug it in to cycle the spoiler and when up, reach in and unplug it (I think the plugs on the left, we have not had a 700 in in a few months so I may be wrong on the plug location.)
  20. ^ X2 all these XX cars you have, Ferrari keeps for you? I'm sure it's nice to have the track support/transport/etc. but I think I'd wake up in the middle of the night on occasion and want to go out to my fleet of hyper-race cars and sit in them making car noises, or throw the "regular:" LaF plate on the XX and take it for a blast around town. I guess you have other cool cars for that though. Have you met Jeff at Ferrari SF? He's one of my best friend and a really great guy.
  21. I just saw this as well. I talk to and dealt with Gino frequently. He must have been having a bad day, he IS a levelheaded and funny individual from the few dozen times I have talked to him.nothing like this thread portrayed him. GORGEOUS car as well!
  22. I understand that. I was saying hopefully enough money is raised through the "go-fund me" campaign that the family won't need to sell the gun and can keep is in memory of their son. Regardless, I'm sure that's the furthest thing from you and his family's minds and I'm sorry for the loss of your friebd/brother. I shared the link on my personal facebook and the company page.
  23. I just read about him this morning. What a loss for this county, he sounded like an incredible man/American. I will donate as well.. I bet his family would cherish that weapon and hopefully the go-fund me campaign can offset you guys not selling it.
