  1. They used cheating software to get around fuel economy and emissions testing. There are a few thousand stories out there about it but that is what happened and they have admitted to it.
  2. I always loved that car. Glad to see it being well taken care of. The calipers look great.
  3. That is a good comparison. That is my last LP640 and a friends Rosso Mars Aventador. Maroon is a better way to describe the color than red, particularly if the car is not exceptionally clean. Here are some links to photos of my car in different light. Lots of light Night/low light Medium Light More of that shoot with 5 generations of V12 cars, all in red.
  4. Awesome shots. I love Oro Adonis. The color definitely comes out orange in a lot of photos, even without any editing. Here is another 05 that I took some photos of without any editing and you still see the orange in a few - http://edbolian.com/insane-2005-lamborghin...-recently-sold/. Gorgeous car. Enjoy it in good health.
  5. Congrats! Verde Draco is my favorite Lambo color. The original manual 07 LP640 UK Press Car in Verde Draco is one I have loved since I first saw it.
  6. No worries. Yes. This was before crazy premiums on all manual cars. I think the $100k number is correct. I know of 8 manual LP transactions this year that reflect at least that.
  7. Here are most of the US cars. Still missing a few but close to complete. http://edbolian.com/how-many-2010-lamborgh...-are-in-the-us/
  8. I sold it a few years ago. It needed some service that it received. It was local to Atlanta for most of its life.
  9. I love Oro Adonis. Great color. Good move on the wheels.
  10. Congrats! That is truly spectacular.
  11. It was an early car with some aesthetic mods. Really nice guy but not a member here to my knowledge. Very sad.
  12. Correct. Carfax looks good. Not a big deal to see a clutch at 9k miles. It is probably below average for an LP640 but not a bad thing. Likely wear from transport. It was sold new in Hawaii and then ended up in Texas so it has been on some trucks/ferries/etc. Good looking car. Best of luck with it.
  13. Feel free to use any on my site. Credit/link back where you can. Sounds like a fun project.
  14. Yes. That was the US list. I haven't kept up with the European and ROW owners. Spectacular car you have. I love it.
  15. Very strong US Representation of the Manual LP Murcis. Whiteout - 07 Telesto Coupe JJG - 07 Monterey Coupe Mondi - 07 Atlas Coupe Assman - 07 Aldebaran Coupe MrEd - 08 Verde Ithaca Coupe Bespoke - 08 Verde Ithaca Roadster LPEnthusiast - 09 Aldebaran Roadster Roy - 10 LP670
  16. Thank you for the kind words Steve. I am so glad that you love the car. It is truly something special. Here are a few pics to hold the rest of you guys over! Glad to welcome another member to the LP Stick LP640 Club!
  17. After owning 20 of them and selling hundreds, here are my 10 tips http://edbolian.com/10-tips-to-prepare-you...c-car-purchase/
  18. Congrats! Enjoy the miles. We will enjoy the photos!
  19. End of life symptoms for a clutch on one of these cars can manifest in a variety of ways. It is not uncommon for them to function ok in some circumstances and not at all in others. Bear in mind that the indicator in the cluster is showing the request based on the paddles/R button rather than the actual position of the gearbox. If the smell persisted for days, you can fairly safely assume that is your culprit. Murci's are hard cars to load on trucks due to the width and the challenge of slowly creeping up ramps. I recommend a lift gate trailer for any Murci transport.
  20. Could be the throttle position sensor, a leak in the hydraulic e-gear lines, actuator failure, or clutch wear. Have you only owned it for a few hundred miles? Not at all uncommon for a 70% remaining clutch to be decimated during shipping by someone who doesn't know what they are doing.
  21. Thank you everyone. I am really loving the car. The two E-Gear cars that I owned were both brilliant but this has a completely different character. Thank you. They definitely seem plenty rare. Just glad this one worked out. Agreed. We all spend too much time chasing cars that are not quite what we want. Glad this one checks all of the boxes. Definitely a strong representation here. I know a few guys still trying to find them. Thank you. I bought it to hold onto for a while which is outside of my normal ownership habits. I appreciate all of the offers to buy it (and the ridiculous numbers!) but this is truly the first car that I have driven home and had the sensation, "I truly never want any other car ever." It is just perfection. Looking forward to many more enjoyable miles in it. We all hope they go up in value and I think these do have the right recipe for it but I am just happy to finally have one in the garage.
  22. Gorgeous car. Great spec.
