  1. I was thinking the same thing as I read through the thread. I totally agree with you. Both RB and VBug are very gracious when it comes to what they have and sharing with others. I know both of you worked very hard to get where you're at and deserve these rewards that accompany success. In regards to the the Veneno, what words can even begin to describe this insane machine. You could use up half of the webster's dictionary with adjectives that relate to this car. It is a true Masterpiece never to be replicated. May you enjoy this life experience in the best of health. Congratulations man!!!
  2. Congrats! Bring it out to C&C when you get her home to AZ.
  3. Just a guess on my part but I think you're right. Maybe it will even have an intelligent AWD system similar to the GTR, where it is basically a RWD vehicle until the system senses any slip and sends the right amount of power to the front wheels. The GTR essentially drives like a RWD vehicle with the safety of AWD. The system was/is that good on the car. I think it would be also great if Lamborghini came in with 620HP but guessing it will be closer to 600. I know while straight line accerlation is important, Lamborghini has been putting emphasis on handling as well. I'm sure the car won't disappoint. Looking forward to seeing one.
  4. Just talked to a friend of mine at the Scottsdale C&C the other day about CGTs, in general, and their increasing values. He has two of them--Seal Gray with Terracotta and Silver with Terracotta. He bought the Seal Gray out of TX from a gentleman who bought the one off Pearl White CGT for around 600K. I am a huge fan of the CGT but by no means an expert. Here is what I took from the conversation. Obviously, color, condition and mileage determines the price on these things. White commands the highest premium followed by red/yellow, Seal Gray, black, and then silver. He said it is one of the best cars he's ever driven. Period. He went on to state that he would own one of these any day over the two Aventadors he's owned and the MP4. Just his opinion. But since he's owned a lot of very cool cars and is a fairly accomplished track driver, I would say his opinion holds some good value. On the day of C&C, he brought the Seal Gray car. I have to admit that I haven't been the biggest fan of terracotta interior. But with the Seal Gray, it worked! The car looked spectacular. It didn't hurt that this car is a 2900 mile pristine example. The inside looked new. Just a stunning car. He did replace the tires which were the originals with new Michelin's and said the car drives great. After all of this blabbering, you're saying what the hell is your point? It is, if you have the means and desire, GET ONE. It's a timeless design, a great drive, and probably a better investment than Apple stock right now. I wish I could get one but I'm not there yet. Congrats to those that have and who can...
  5. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I'm in the camp that thinks a CGT would be a great Birthday/Christmas gift.
  6. TERRIBLE LOSS. RIP Paul Walker...may God bless your family.
  7. This was the outcome I expected. Think I even got lucky and said this in another thread under Porsche Power. I figured the 911 Turbo S would keep pace with the McLaren until 60 by virtue of its AWD. Then it would get walked and it did. Porsche 911 Turbo S, There IS a substitute --The McLaren MP4-12C...
  8. New 991 Turbo S is a beast, no doubt. I would guess from 0-60 is going to be close--maybe even in the Turbo's favor. From that point, I think the Mac is going to take care of business. And for the $$$, give me the Mac all day long.
  9. It's beautiful. Congrats on the purchase and hard work to get it!
  10. CONGRATS! Bugs are engineering marvels. Enjoy in the best of health...
  11. Not to burst your bubble but probably not even close to 200k. The replacement for the Gallardo, which will probably include some Aventador styling cues, maybe. Aventador's are holding their value extremely well. The factory is still back logged on orders. So, I don't see prices dipping too far below 300K for a long time. Just my .02.
  12. Great taste and an epic collection of the finest of their time. Wouldn't change a thing. Congrats and enjoy in good health! More pics of the CGT in the wild please.
  13. Looks like a blast. Definitely going to do this next year.
  14. CGT has always been an epic car to me. Obviously there are a lot of people on here who agree. Find the right one for you and don't look back. I'm sure the SLR is a great car and performs better in some aspects. But from what I've read of your posts lately, you enjoy (like so many of us here) a car that provides a very connected driving experience. I cannot think of a better candidate than the CGT. A true manual connected to a racing engine and chassis. Driving in its purest form. One man's opinion but JUST DO IT!
  15. Great Pics. Looks like a lot of fun. CGT still an epic ride in my mind. Would love to have one someday--in seal gray. Giving the 458 a hard time in the GTR...
  16. I've had mine two months and it is the most fun car I have ever owned. The 6spd manual is a great fit with the LP platform. They got it right with this one. I agree with you about the Scorpius wheels. They are nice but have been over produced. I changed them out for gloss black Cordelia's on mine. I wanted something to set the red calipers off with. Without hesitation, I would recommend one of these for anyone in the market for a G. This one is a keeper!
  17. Awesome pictures everyone. Kevin, the SV turned out great! When is it coming home? Can't wait to see it in person. I've always like Monterrey Blue. Congrats. Concorso is definitely on my to do list.
  18. Nice Work. How many of them fit in the Aventador? Anyone ever notice that the hostess' are often better looking than the servers.
  19. Very cool. Life is too short not to take the plunge. Congrats and enjoy.
  20. That is just stunning. Perfectly specked. Congrats and enjoy!
  21. Looks great! An orange '08 SL was my first Lambo. I'll always have a soft spot for those. Congrats.
  22. Sweet Ride! Looks great with the bi-color interior. Congrats.
  23. Awesome pic of two beautiful machines! Keep them coming.
  24. Thanks again everyone. looney, I agree with you on the nose. It's a much better looking schnaze than what the new 560's are getting. Although I saw a yellow one in person and it didn't look that bad. I don't like the new back end as well either. I think the old back end is a cleaner look. Just my .02. Only 5 more days till it gets home. I'm really stoked about this one! Assman, thanks for the facebook intel. The super trofeos are bad machines. Glad to even be in the same picture with them.
