Camel Toe Juice Report post Posted July 9, 2006 Saw a 355 today at Crystal Cove and for some reason the looks still amaze me (especially the rear end of the car). I would have purchased one a while back, but unfortunately I cant fit in the car. Yah the performance sucks, maintenance is a pain and it is a ferrari but looks and a convt are on the top of my list. I wont purchase one, but does anyone else think the car looks really good?
VENOMIZ Report post Posted July 9, 2006 Ugly car IMO, the coupe looks better
The Zapper Report post Posted July 9, 2006 *Raises hand in shame* Maybe not "really" good, but good and one of the better looking Ferraris. A friend of mine has one in yellow and I think it looks good in person.

Destructo Report post Posted July 9, 2006 i would prefer a 360 Spyder over the 355...and the 430 Spyder over that....
cntchds Report post Posted July 9, 2006 I'm not a huge fan of convertibles in the first place, so I'd pass. But I wouldn't mind a coupe. Saw a blue coupe yesterday marked 'F1' is that the same as 'F1' today where it is paddle shifted?
vmanaktala Report post Posted July 9, 2006 Saw a blue coupe yesterday marked 'F1' is that the same as 'F1' today where it is paddle shifted? Yes, F1 is the paddle shifted tranny for Ferrari
vmanaktala Report post Posted July 9, 2006 I like the 355, although they look alittle dated. IMHO the 355 was the last Ferrari they made that looked good, anything Ferrari made after the 355 looks like crap to me.
abolfaz Report post Posted July 14, 2006 I have always like the side and rear of the 355, everything after that has sucked!

Driftracer3 Report post Posted July 14, 2006 The F355 caught my eye when it first came out. Granted I was only about 12 year old, but to this day I still like them. I almost bought a 355 berlinetta. Im a sucker for targa tops!

lambo_freak Report post Posted July 15, 2006 i must say that the 355's are my visually favorite ferrari. no prob there, but i'd take the coupe over the convertable.

3rdandlong Report post Posted July 17, 2006 The 355 has a design that's too clean to ever be considered ugly. Maybe not the most exotic car ever made, or starting to become dated, but never ugly. Styling wise, it was the last great V8 from Maranello...
murciroadster Report post Posted February 14, 2007 i think that the 355 is still a classic ferrari . 360 to me is outdated
Clax Report post Posted February 14, 2007 If you are weird, then I guess I am weird too. Sure the car is not fast, it's outdated, yada yada, but I still really like the looks of the 355 Spider. The design is very clean, cohesive, and timeless. Ferrari now seems to be taking a different design approach where design cohesion is not the top priority (too much going on in the new designs), and the 355 Spider stands out as one of their most beautiful designs (in my opinion). Roman Report post Posted February 14, 2007 In terms of convertables, I like the 355.... IT DOES look a LOT dated... And will never be a "Classic". I fear its destined to become like the Mondial....

I fear its destined to become like the Mondial.... it is not going to happen imo the mondial was ugly from the first day the 355 was a very nice car when new and still looks good, even more the not red ones i still think 355 looks way better than 360-

ralfabco Report post Posted February 15, 2007 I have always like the side and rear of the 355, everything after that has sucked! 348 Dud 355 Bonita 360 Ugly 430 Fugly I wanted a car. I heard one, that pretty much sounded like an organ donor bike. - I do not know if he lost a lot of power, with the sweet sounding exhaust ? I think it is a very nice looking car, and I like the fact that it is small and it revs. Power ? I know that it does not have a lot of power. I had an opportunity to drive the car. Sure must be fun to drive it around the turns. I would look for a Berlinetta 6 speed. 95 has the best power - OBD II, and it breathes better. However check the valve guides, and the exhaust headers have been known to crack. I believe later cars have been updated to some degree ? I think 97 + do not have the valve issues. Some people claim the valve issue is b.s.

The 96 and later cars had two air filters that fed into one mass air and then split back into two before going into the motor. I was always told that they detuned the car a bit after 95 and that the 95 motors were the most desirable. The car had a look, its hard to explain, but it stood out in a way that the post 355 cars do not. The 360 looks like they gave up on trying to style the car once they got to the front and everything since looks like it came out of Voltron! Everyone is aware, that after the 512TR and 355GTB, they have not done too well with the designs. Did you ever max it out ? What do they max out at ? 180 ?
