Milan Report post Posted January 10, 2011 Anyone seen 21? He could have the strippers go in and cash them for him and give them some of the cut. Or alternatively he could enjoy some crazy lap dances and pay them with the chips (is that possible in Vegas?)

Rawr Report post Posted February 3, 2011 I am sure he thought all this through already and has already redeemed what he wanted by himself or with help.. could be something like 30% of the total number but hey not bad for a day of work Doh! I gave him too much credit! He was arrested after meeting with undercover officers allegedly to sell the chips stolen in the heist. camaro97 Report post Posted February 12, 2011 Just came across this article that mentions the RFID tags inside the chips: $1.5M Robbery of Bellagio Casino Foiled Thanks to RFID Chips "... embedded RFID tags allow casinos to track their every movement. If a chip is stolen, its ID can be associated with the theft in casino databases, preventing it from being redeemed for cash." TestShoot Report post Posted February 12, 2011 I can't remember the specific name for this situation, but Robert Wuhl said something about it a few years ago when citing WR Hearst. "When the legend is bigger than fact, print the legend". Whatever the stupid reason this guy got caught, the idea that there are RFID chips even in small denominations would help thwart the casual idiot even if there are no chips. But what if you used an RFID canon to whipe out large numbers of chips, even legitimate ones so you could slip in fakes to real stacks? You could, in theory, wipe out an entire section of the casino's rfid chips walking through the lobby with such a device in a bag. Worse yet? Mini EMP canon! Should any casino security staff be reading this, I don't gamble. You see chips in my hand, that means I am carrying for someone else. I post only as a mere theory.
