It's the stock I kept saying to myself "I should have bought back when it was $______/share. Of course, I was a teenager when I said Amazon was going to go places - and wish I could have bought it then, too.

This is something I fail to comprehend, a billion dollar company, a worldwide brand that produces desirable goods is bigger than one person. He isn't there running the production line, he isn't there coding the GUI, testing the products and providing feedback, he isn't the OS architect, he isn't doing the admin of the vacation requests yet why the need for huge drops in share prices?

It is a cult you do realize that right?

I don't think the photo has been shopped. I think Jobs has some serious health problems. If it's pancreatic cancer, that one is an angry bitch that shows no mercy.

You know I'd like to think that the man's health is more important than the stock price, however important the latter may be - we are talking about a person here.

People don't matter....money mastters!!!!

My Fiance just lost a friend to Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. Saddest thing Ive been through in a long time. Poor kid was 23 years old, just graduated college a few months ago in May of this year. Found out he was sick a few weeks after taking off his cap and gown, neither him nor his family had any idea. 2 months later on August 8th, 2011, he was gone. We both went to the funeral, watched him get buried in his graduation gown with dozens of his classmates (my fiance included) crying their eyes out. I didnt know him, but it hit me so hard I didnt say much to anyone for a week. I just couldnt stop thinking about him. :( Its still ripping me up just thinking about it now.

Does it even matter if that's the case.

I feel sad for him, very interesting and smart guy. I wish him all the best and do hope he survives this.

Well maybe not....

That's all well and good, but why hasn't anyone addressed the fact that Jobs seems to be wearing a dress in that photo? Regardless, I liked the guy better when he looked like a '70's porn star...

For fcuk's sake, first the iPhone 4S debacle and now this and it STILL won't go below $300 for a decent buy-in point...

Goddamnit.

Stock is holding pretty steady with only a minor dip.

I'm not sure why it would change much. Anyone who saw those pics of him a couple weeks ago knew he had about 3 months tops. Today's news should not be any surprise to anyone. Anyone who's shocked by this news must live in a cave.

Im sure they have plenty of great products in the works that Steve was involved in. I would be more worried about the stock 5 or 10 years out.
