Official press release..

However they are still going with the ISR transmission! The car needs the DC transmission. ISR should be replaced. So many owners, like me, are disapointed in it.

The more pictures I see, the more thankful I am I didn't move forward on this. I just cant see how the same people that designed a beautiful car like the Aventador, put this mess together. Then quadrupled the price.

Thank you all ... really appreciate you like my Photoshop doodles ... many thanks.

Can't wait to see the official press photos, I'm really interested to see how they designed the section behind the seats ... and if I was close or not :icon_mrgreen:

More than just pshop doodles, I hope you use your talents in your occupation.

Also I notice the car has a shield on the door almost like a Ferrari. I thought this was frowned upon?

I actually like it. A lot better than the coupe. My main problem with the coupe was the awful yellow accents, and I used lambocars configurator to create something exactly like the roadster combination. Looks super clean now, the way it should have been back in Geneva.

I have to add that this is one of the laziest roadsters designs by Lamborghini tho, usually they modify the entire engine cover and make it a lot nicer. This time it looks like they simply removed the roof section of the coupe

The wheels have got to go. Would have looked 1,000,000,000 time better with the Aventador center-locks. Also, the wheels look like 5 apple peelers fastened to a circle.

Was at the unveil yesterday. It looks really awesome and the Aventador Roadster color was a great choice. Well done Lambo :icon_thumleft:

i think the color just doesn't look right on this car. the rear i love and certain details look badass. but overall I'm not feeling.

IMO the SV looks better at a 1/4 of the price.

Something about the proportions of the car just look wonky. It's missing that cab-forward proportionality too -- the hood section looks too long. And the front end view looks oddly unaggressive. Just . . . doesn't have that magic.

I'm sorry, but that thing looks like it was made by KIA. The Veneno wasn't a pretty car, but atleast it was raw looking. This thing just looks silly.

Maybe if it had a revolutionary engine or something to go along with it I'd be remotely interested (not that I am in the market). But 2.2M for the same engine that's in an Aventador (or at least one that only makes 10-20hp more) seems like an epic rip off.

The ThethetheFerrari was what...1.5M new? And that was a completely original design with a brand new engine/technology. Why can't I expect the same from a flag ship special edition Lambo?

In pictures it doesn't look as great as you would like, but you have to see cars in person: when I saw the Veneno in person, It looked simply fantastic

I have more interest on where to get verde Ithaca duct tape

That moment when regular packing/painting tape is more interesting than the brand new Lamborghini.

Is anyone else bored with these special editions that don't really do anything? I understand the point, for funds and all that. Now I won't ever afford any of these cars and I'd be lucky to be able to get into an 05 Gallardo right now, but do you think it'd be more interesting to see if there was a true ThethetheFerrari/918/P1/ competitor? I know the Veneno was there and all, but I still felt that the performance was lacking a bit and it was overstyled.

I understand Lamborghini may never do hybrid stuff, but what about something akin to the Veyron/Regera or is that too high up to be feasible?

It's probably me, but I just feel like after these types have been cop outs...the Sesto was a beast on the track, so would an Aventador version of that have been better?

I am sure if Lambo produced a wild supercar that would be equal in performance to the 918,P1 and ThethetheFerrari, there would be no shortage of buyers but i guess the business model is being dictated by the parent company.

That'd be my guess.

I still think the car is sexy as hell.
