el_chorizo Report post Posted August 25, 2014 I fully admit that I'm not a watch guy. I don't really know a ton... I obviously know the names of a few brands out there but that is about it. I have a Breitling that I bought a while ago that I wear every now and again when I need to class up an outfit. I'm looking to add a 2nd nice watch to my collection. I'm open to ideas in the price range listed above... I also dislike large face watches. I want something that is nice, classy and subtle. Not something that screams 'look at how baller I am'. Lambo Guy Report post Posted August 25, 2014 IWC Spitfire Mark XVI. Looks of a Big Pilot without the douche factor size, 39-41mm, half the price. No brainer.
szabo_martin Report post Posted August 25, 2014 That price and criteria I'd say Rolex Sub is the way to go

cake Report post Posted August 25, 2014 I am curious. If you're not a watch guy, and you've got one you like that you only wear now and then...why do you want another one? Are you tired of the one you wear only occasionally? Do you want a different color metal or face?

Wild card: Check out Franck Muller. Franck Muller has some amazing watches. The ones I really like are outside my price range... I really like this for the price but hard to gauge size... 39x50mm might be too big for me. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Franck-Muller-Mari...=item486c2ff355 I do really like these Breitlings for the price as well: http://www.ebay.com/itm/A2337016-C856-154A...=item5b046cc6a0 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Breitling-SuperOce...=item2a3eb8718d http://www.ebay.com/itm/U2337012-BB81-154A...=item540efa2795

Are you tired of the one you wear only occasionally? Do you want a different color metal or face? I do get a little tired of wearing the same one out every time. I would prefer to get a different color face (probably something black).
szabo_martin Report post Posted August 25, 2014 I would advise against buying a high end watch on Ebay.... Go into an AD try them on..some bands might not feel right, or the weight of the watch. Plus you have a contact if you need service. Also I've seen Rolex fakes so good that even a Rolex specialist with the back off had to look for a good while before spotting its a fake. I just use ebay as a way to gauge pricing since I'm pretty inexperienced... It's just a good way to gauge what I can expect to pay when buying it from a reputable source (obviously, the source is going to charge more, but it should be in the ballpark). Devine STS Report post Posted August 25, 2014 AP makes some very nice timepieces. Might be a little out of the price range, but maybe worth considering
LPDADDY Report post Posted August 25, 2014 I would chose an lambda lambda lambda and the omega mu. In the price range you are looking, best movement out there .
kinnsella Report post Posted August 25, 2014 http://www.wannabuyawatch.com/ I have bought several watches from them. I have also sold them back watches I have bought from them. Selection will vary, they refurbish watches so they are in great shape.
