  1. Car will be running next week at Lime Rock Park in CT in the Grand Am series, just FYI incase any potential buyers might be interested in seeing the car in action
  2. Mark Cuban funds and produces his own films. I work in the music industry as a producer, if you ask me the film business is over complicated and one big head ache.
  3. I got to take a FGT around our little track/county club, it is fun to drive, but it does feel like a kit car. while it felt alright on the track, I did draw the opinion that the car would be more of a chore to drive in the city. I would not go as far to call it a drivers car either because I still felt disconnected, though it offers the appearance of what we typically call a drivers car.
  4. Sebastien Buemi escapes 200mph crash unhurt in Shanghai F1 practice

  6. I got to drive a friend's GTR around our local track here, I was actually a little excited about driving it since I use to own an R32 and R33, but it came up a little short in my expectations. while it did performed well, it still felt bulky to me, and did not have that gokart feel which makes me fall in love with a car. I guess for me the car sits somewhere between a great street car and a race car
  7. favorite car of all time, I would have to go with a DB5
  8. if your thinking Ferrari 360, its likely that you really want a Ferrari, and why not the 360 still looks like a modern Ferrari (very similar in looks to an F430) at a fraction of the cost. I think you can find fine example in that price range, but make sure to get plenty of documentation on it, and check with the mechanic who did the service on it. naturally if your looking for performance, I would have to agree with the others and recommend a 996 or 997 TT. and its hard to say no to a vintage car, especially in this economy, it really is a buyers market (dare I say investors market). and someone mentioned the race car idea, if you have a track near by that might not be a bad idea, you can get a used cup car, do a couple track days and races, and when you are not using it you can rent it out (I do that with my car). but if your set on a Ferrari, get the ferrari!
  9. I love the fact that its a 6 speed
  10. I have always been a land rover fan, because I like to make my own short cuts!!! I have a range rover that I drive every day, love it. but if I had my choice I have always wanted a Defender
  11. vipers do corner well, you cant argue with that....but the porsche brakes much better. personally I have never liked the way a 996tt cornered compared to a 996 c2 or GT3 thats dialed in
  12. I beg to differ on the drive train, I tore mine up at the track, after maybe 10 hours of total track time. I also had all kinds of problems with my brakes.
  13. I had a 97 viper, its a great car for cruising on the hwy for long distances, its very comfortable. but even though it has all that power, they dont like to be driven hard, they fall apart. I have owned lots of porsches, you can drive them to work all week, then spend a weekend at the track doing laps, driving hard, and come monday morning you can drive it to work again.
  14. I would say no...that style is really getting dated, it still looks like something right out of the mid 1970s. I have had quite a few Rolex watches, I worked my way through college as a watchmaker, working mostly with Rolex, they are not the best watches, but here in the US you can trade them like gold and thats why dealers love them. of course I am more of a fan of panerai, IWC, and patek
  15. <---Range Rover great for when the weather turns bad, or just driving around on the beach!
  16. I have had haltechs on my cars in the past, and love them. are they using just a normal haltech E6X? or is it specific for the GTR
  17. the car was built to blow away automotive tests like these...I think with a rolling start the GTR would have a much slower time then other cars on that list.
  18. yes it is one of their "interesting" tests http://youtube.com/watch?v=_Y2ZorKSWJs
  19. now I heard this was on "special tires" to me this car has a marketing campaign behind it that is bound and determine just to get the very best numbers out of this car and publish them as soon as they get them. I have been around the car world long enough to know that you can take any car in the world and given enough practice and the right conditions it can put down increadible numbers. its still a 3800lb car with 480hp
  20. never look at a new car as an investment, just have fun with it
  21. is this the car, Fiat X1/9 Bertone???
  22. back when I was into vintage jags I would send my carbs off to a place in texas, took about a week.
  23. looks like an Audi TT with a body kit
  24. when can we expect to see decent gear box (twin clutch auto) in Mercedes top of the line super car?
