  1. Oh, cheeky Nandos needs a few Sagres !..... I frequent the Shepherd's Bush (oh-err) Nandos when in town. A popular haunt of da local bruvvers. Da bruvvers love a bit of chicken, don't you know. Anyway, massive shoot out in there the other day. Massive shoot out euro style, not US biker style. Some darky shot some other darky and drove off. Po-po everywhere. All I wanted was a cheeky Nandos. Had to go into Kensington for a ruby instead.
  2. That's pad wear or fluid level. Where abouts in the UK are you fella ? FYI, I'm a DIYer, did the egear clutch myself last year....
  3. Hmmm, as AMH says above, the Houston ticket with the expensive body bits on is just a quote, the others' are invoices for a clutch etc. Must be an aftermarket kit. Does look good however. There must be more to this, like it was upside down on a freeway at some point in it's life. Kebab.
  4. Poor old Sheriff Rosco P Coltrane. I named my old cat after him.
  5. Ah, Munich. Indeed. I understand it has the Audi/Bentley V8 with twin turbos and electric supercharger option. Hybrid was a point for further discussion. As was matte paint, and the electric deployable towbar. Hex cup holders were standard. No V10 or V12.
  6. Yep, did my own Murci e-gear clutch and fixed some other issues earlier this year. Simple car to work on, just lots of it, and expensive parts as other have said.
  7. Nope, not talking about him. His is a 640, and he is up north. Fella at Thruxton runs experiences, has/had an SV for a time. Think the SV's gone, as now has Aventador & Huracan. Google is your friend; That's the one.
  8. What's a petcock ?! Mine sprung a leak from the banjo fitting on the air bleed pip back to the header tank. A $100 part to replace !
  9. I think that's the SV they had at Thruxton doing track days. £400K ! Goodness, wouldn't appear as good value as an Aventador, and a 6.2/LP640 as a spare.
  10. Just been to the launch of the new 2015 Audi TT. It has a lot of Huracan tech in the cabin. TFT dash, MMI, etc... No doubt coming to an Audi near you soon.... Next Audi facelift due I believe is the C7 A6... I have chums waiting for C7 RS6 facelift, delivery been delayed months... Now due April 2015.... Makes some sense as this is a major departure for interiors, especially if the range will get it in the next few months....
  11. Finally got round to looking at this. Found the relays, behind LHS seat. Both relays clicking away, LHS fan still worked when relays swapped. Both had power. RHS fan was open circuit. Took off rear grill, couldn't separate fan to loom connector. Took off rear deck and RNS rear light to get better purchase on it. Finally prised (broke) connector apart. One pin had got hot and arced, melted plastic around it. Clean up and re crimped connectors. Temporarily re-assembled and all works a treat. New replacement connectors ordered from Demon Tweeks. Car now comes up to temp gently and stays there.
  12. What ?! It wasn't loud enough already ?! I have premature deafness since the last fairground ride in this. I'm glad they got it back together and kept the tailpipes lined up ! Super work Vahid.... Looks stunning !
  13. Mates After fixing my pesky spoiler and raving how reliable the thing is, I now have an overheating problem. Highway no issue, traffic, temp creeps up and batwings go up. Left hand side radiator fan cuts in and runs, right hand side fan doesn't. Not done any investigation yet. Anyone know if they come off separate relays, sensors or fueses ? Or are they just wired in parallel ? Seem to remember before they come on at different times ?! Or is that imagined.... Any help appreciated, before I dig the meter out.
  14. Interesting. Simon's was a 2003, it all started with an oil leak from the pulley that wasn't fixed by a new seal. Forgot to ask if there was a possibility damage was done at first oil leak repair attempt... Odd that a front pulley is only held on with a taper, rather than a flat face and key, as on every other car....
  15. I'm on 31K miles on a 2005 6.2 egear. No major problems at all. Regular oil changes, a couple of sets of disks (rotors), rear anti-roll bar bushes, couple of clutches. Motor has been sound as. I've spoken with Simon (250K miler). His problem was with taper on end of crank, and pulley kept working loose, which damaged taper even more. Replacement became only option.
  16. FYI, roof to put the EC120 on. Had a great evening with Dr Tom Misner the other night. Your neck of the woods, big (biggest) cheese in my local helicopter club in south of England... Pah, he uses the PJ to get to his helis which are here.....
  17. Yeah, it's not built yet... render etc... Some very viable ideas however. Just don't tell the wife, or look down. http://www.itv.com/news/2014-09-10/life-on...angs-off-cliff/ I think real estate globally has just gone to bonkers numbers, as per the start of this thread. How can you make it homely for wife and kids ? Best off buying a small ski chalet and more Italian V12s.... What more overall pleasure can be derived ?
  18. WTF does any of this mean ? :zthread needs pics: Not just an excuse to use this ............

    So... Ebola...

We have a 'slate wiper' as Jeremy Clarkson (I know, I know, that well known biologist) has been quoted as saying...
  20. There's a great range there ! Tell them Tip-Top sends his regards, and can now hit a barn door !
  21. Forgot to say many thanks to Jeff & PoKnow for their advice and contributions to the thread. Virtual beer to you both, unless you're in London at Christmas (See Euro section), and I'll get you a real one !
  22. Boom ! Fixed. Did exactly as above. Drove out for Kebob (I actually mean kebab) (I actually mean kebab). Spoiler goes up, spoiler goes down. New anti roll bar bushes fixed the rear end knock too. Battery is on way out, and RHS fan not kicking in, leading to getting hot and bat wings up... The next jobs..
  23. This week for crises .. will I ever drive this thing again....
