The comment I responded to was considering which of the hypercars to buy. The Veneno isn't an option / not available. A few Koenigsegg's were able to come to the USA. I believe his was the last. The DOT now requires that all cars are fitted with smart airbags. Smart airbags means that the passenger's airbag will automatically activate and deactivate based on the weight on the passenger's seat (+/- 100 lbs). Apparently, it is very expensive to cross that hurdle. Pagani has recently delivered Huayra's to customers in the USA. The Huayra has smart airbags and is fully street legal in the USA.

Koenigsegg does not make a car that is street legal in the United States. I agree 100% with VBUGKING. The only two hypercars that interest me are the Huayra and the Veyron. The battery boosted cars do nothing for me.

It is a very expensive car that is capable of speeds (from the manufacturer) far beyond any other stock car. All things considered, maintenance is not that bad. Having driven a Veyron, I can say that I get it: That car is absolutely astonishing. 165mph in a Veyron feels as stable as 50mph in a Mercedes S class. I don't follow fads. I would take a Veyron over the ThethetheFerrari, P1 or 918 any day. It is a much more appealing car IMO.

EXACTLY!!!!! Exotic car reviews are not designed to be a guide for potential buyers. They need to sell more than 14k copies over the next 6 years. They try to mask their reviews as a buyers guide while providing an entertaining product for all readers / viewers. The more they drift (pun intended) on the entertainment side, the more successful their products (magazine / show / website) tend to be. Fortis, relax. Don't let them twist you up. The car is amazing.

I'm really tired of track focused reviews for cars that spend 99.9% of their time on public roads.

No issues here. It actually has the strongest AC of any car that I've ever owned.

I have an issue with people who drink and drive. Other than that, I don't judge.

The Kreissieg system on my Murcielago SV is a catback system - so no straight pipes. It also has a remote to close the valves and make it quiet.
