  1. Shout out for LOC as an option. I have it on my LP640 Roadster, and as much as I can hear it (mainly in the garage or tunnels) it sounds great. Others driving around me seem enthusiastic for it as well. Unfortunately I don't have a video of it yet.
  2. Going down to pick up the car tomorrow. Here is a pic of the secondary catbypass pipes and the exhaust in place. Will need to charge up my GoPro and grab a video of it.
  3. Well, got the car last week... it's amazing. Dropped it off today with ''my guy'' for the exhaust and secondary catbypass pipes, drier's side door strut, rear badge painted black, turn off AirBag light (I made the apparently fatal mistake of adjusting the steering column!) and redo the window tint. The exhaust is super light (mechanic holding it) and the same for the bypass pipes. As he sends me pics of the stock and then removal and install, I'll share. Thanks for the info above.
  4. Yes, that is the muffler for the SV. The TV special was showcasing the build of the SV specifically. I appreciate the info. Decided to go with the LOC secondary cat delete and the LOC exhaust. The couple of videos I've found online sound great. Also, I have a Tubi on my Gallardo SE and really love the sound of that in the higher RPM range. Pics to follow.
  5. Hey all. Unlike most exhaust questions where someone is trying to get an idea of what aftermarket exhaust to go for... this is about what comes stock. I'm getting an a 2008 LP640 Roadster, stock exhaust. Planning on getting an LOC exhaust installed. My question is this: does the LP640 have 2 sets of catalytic converters? If yes, can one switch out the 'secondary cats' (that seem to be stacked just next to the exhaust) and have no worries about CELs (or passing state emissions) while getting better wt. savings and sound? I've seen places where those are referred to as 'the' cats... making it sound like they are the only ones. LOC seemed to have only a single option for 'cat bypass' making it sound as if there is just one set of cats, but I've also seen where some manufacturers, such as Fabspeed, make 'Primary catbypass pipes' as well as "secondary catbypass pipes'. This pic (from the National Geo special on the Lamborghini factory) seems to show primaries (yellow), secondaries (red), and exhaust (green). Thoughts? Also, anyone with the LOC on their Murci who did/didn't do a 'secondary cat delete' and are you pleased with how it sounds?
  6. What about Tomorrowland as a festival? Never been, but it 'looks good'..... depending on what you want, I guess. Although, if having a direct flight from a major city is a death knell.... I think this will be considered way over-done. Also, the full moon parties in Thailand? Again, perhaps too much "The Beach" traffic for it to be legit?
  7. Am I missing something, or does the Eurocar website and the salvage website not both show the same VIN and similar milage? Same car? Too bad.
  8. Being from Montana, my boating experience was zero, but standing beside the Chittendon Locks between Lake Union and Puget Sound fueled my fascination with boats, especially sail boats. When I moved to PA I went down to Havre de Grace, MD and took a weekend class, the American Sailing Association (ASA) 101 Basic Keelboat. It was both classroom instruction and going out on the water in a 22ft boat. Learned an amazing amount and got bit with 'the bug'. Few years later I bought a Pearson 26 (26ft sailboat, outboard motor, tiller, small cabin) and sailed that around the Magothy River and the Chesapeake for a summer and totally fell in love. Learning to sail on a smaller, tough, forgiving boat is a much better way to go, I feel, than buying a big 'nice' boat right off the bat. People told me I would be selling the P26 in a year to either move up to bigger boat if I love sailing, or to get rid of it and get out of sailing if I didn't. The next summer I bought a Catalina 34ft and for the next 3 summers sailed that from the Patapsco R. down and around the Chesapeake to Annapolis, St. Michael's, Rock Hall, etc. 85% of the time single handing it. It was only through learning the basics in ASA 101 and then having a summer full of sailing the P26 that I could comfortably (most of the time) handle the C34 safely and competently. I would strongly advise going out on a friends boat, taking a class or two, and then, if you love it, getting a smaller less expensive boat to 'learn on'. Plenty of time in a year or so for the big luxurious yacht! It is truly an incredible feeling to sail a sailboat. Sorry for the crappy pics, but I'm stuck in the office (where I do keep pics of both boats). - Pearson 26 - Catalina 34 - me living it up
  9. Quite the star-fucker this kid. I get the excitement of seeing an exotic and driving along with it for a bit, taking a pic (safely, one hopes). But the 'hangers-on' who seem to worship the owners who throw some attention their way... they are tiring, and in some stalkerazzi cases, dangerous. The vids of catching up to and driving throughout a Rally goes to show how wide-eyed they get, and how little they care for others safety. Wouldn't wish an accident on anyone, but sometimes you really do sow what you reap.
  10. After a few nights sleeping on a Westin 'Heavenly Bed', I popped a peak and saw they are made by Simmons (it's one of the Beauty Rest line, I believe). Bought one shortly after and have loved it. It's a thick (13inch) single sided (no flipping) pillow-top mattress with individually pocketed coils (so sayeth their web site). I love it. Did I mention that I love it?
  11. Huge congrats on a beautiful car. Prior to my purchase, I discovered the SEs and fell hard for them. The other 2 Grigio Proteus (E-gears) I looked at, one in CA, one in DC, but both got snatched up. I very happily got #143/250 which is Grigio Altair. I have always seen consistent interior accents in the body color, but the previous owner might have custom ordered it, or swapped them out for the more 'neutral'. I'm happy to have a fair bit of CF to replace the 'silver/grey' that came originally.
  12. "So do I have it?.... Do I have a 12 inch schlong? Yes, of course..." But you'll just have to take my word for it while I do the happy hands dance...
  13. I saw the pics of that and wondered at the 'sprung' quarter panel pieces that are just hangin' in air over the front bumper. Hoods jacked up. If he addressed it in the add it wouldn't seem so bad, but to NOT mention it makes it feel like an attempted scam.
  14. Say, you mind using that crystal ball to lay down some lottery numbers for us? Some people seem to make a niche being contrary.
  15. I think it is the Breitling Navitimer Chrono-Matic. I believe he is a pretty big Breitling fan, and in his show was sporting a Navitimer of one variety or another quite a bit. I had an old B-1 and replaced it with an Airwolf as a great daily wearer, also had a Navitimer World for a while but sold it as it was too big (terribly beautiful watch though).... apropos of nothing. Finally!!

"I know a guy who knew a guy......." One of my friends from the local C&C (Harrisburg area) was asked to have his 1987 Mondial 3.2 in the movie, specifically the Hamptons Beach House scenes. They were looking for mid to late '80s exotics. He commented on the white CTs and the red Testarossa there. Said it was pretty cool watching the filming. Ended up buying a 1988.5 CT white on white after seeing the cars on set. Pics of his CT: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/lamborghi...-12407-a-8.html
  17. Seems a chimera of Murci and Aventador in some respects. Side intake in front of rear wheel, rear deck projecting out a bit, 'batwing' like intake (although poss just bolt on for cooling during testing?), and the horizontal louvred engine cover (although again likely just the temp covering). Exciting either way.
  18. Signing my Gallardo SE at EurosportDC 2012 and a close up of the inscription. Terribly sweet guy. Got to drive behind him at EurosportDC 2013 for a bit and second the opinion that he can be challenging to keep pace with. Belle! Valentino, Automobili Lamborghini Gratzie! 143/250
  19. Hey, Are you guys going down for the Eurosport DC drive? I'm attending, and was thinking of heading down to DC on Saturday to cut the drive on Sunday morning. Staying at RC as last year?
  20. I wonder if painting the rear diffuser in the body color would mitigate the really big, black, negative space that seems to take up so much of the rear. In the pic of my car in Cake's garage, (sounds naughtier than it was) the rear diffuser on my SE is painted and I love the way it adds to the continuity of the lowest part of the rear end. Personal preference, of course. I odn't have the PS skills to do it, but it would be interesting to see.
  21. Congrats Kris on the car. I think we all probably had butterflies and sleepless nights from 'the decision' to the 'the delivery'... but this is certainly on a grander scale. One thing I love about the Lamborghini Community, (even you hardcore folks on L-Power!), is the sense of community, shared enthusiasm for the brand, and support for your fellow-owners. Not to pick a fight, but I can't imagine someone purchasing one of the 'other' cars featured at Geneva and not only posting about it on their forum but sticking around to answer questions and thank all the well-wishers. Love me some Lambo.
  22. I fckin' love that silver Murci.... te amo... ich liebe.... amo....
  23. That's nice and all.... but it's the actual distribution of the genetic material that is the 'rewarding' part...
