seeing potential gold in this here thread.... Question: does Dong size matter?
  2. Makes perfect sense. I was at the Glen last weekend and we were discussing how to improve times. This guy was left foot braking in places like the Esses, while keeping his right foot on the throttle. It hadn't occurred to me but it's a great technique and can be quite effective in planting the car just enough, while keeping up momentum (another place is toe of the boot). BUT - many modern cars will cut power when the brake overlaps the throttle. The only time I used this technique on track was several years ago in a Star Formula Mazda - and it was mostly because the footwell was so tiny I had no place to put my left foot and it was more comfortable to use it for braking. Normally I only right foot brake (on track and street). i haven't tried this in the GT4 yet and probably will at my next track event (next weekend). Haven't tried in the RS either and I'm certain your comment explains the previous post. Thanks very much! The car is finally broken in and we are enjoying it in the higher revs. It's fun although on the street it's very easy to go too fast and get in potential trouble. It's obviously meant for a track if you really want to exploit potential. Hope to get it there soon (but I'm loving the GT4 which is more suited to my risk level and ability to keep my foot in the throttle without completely scaring myself)!!!
  3. So the Aventador in the background was 25 years into the future.... That's a pretty big goof from whomever designed the set (or whatever it's called)

  9. Glen Huffman AMH Exotic Parts No affiliation. Just a satisfied customer. Bought various parts from Glen over the years. Fair price and superb customer service. And an LP sponsor.
  10. Too bad that modern drivers are the opposite of brilliant. Glad no one was hurt.
  11. Very sorry to read of your continued troubles with the car. Do you have a lemon law where you live? Sounds like a great candidate for a buy back....
  12. Roman - are you working on an alibi? Or maybe you are representing the alleged avocado thieves? Wondering which side of the story you're on.... OXNARD, Calif. -- Police are calling it grand theft avocado. Southern California authorities say three produce company workers have been arrested in the theft of up to $300,000 worth of avocados. The Ventura County Sheriff's Department says they were arrested Wednesday, charged with grand theft of fruit and are jailed for lack of $250,000 bail each. Detectives began investigating the men in May after getting a tip that they were conducting unauthorized cash sales of avocados from a ripening facility in the city of Oxnard owned by Mission Produce. The sheriff's department says the company estimates the avocado loss at about $300,000. It was unclear whether the suspects have attorneys. [/color]
  13. Lookin gooood!! Luv the plate!
  14. Very sorry to read of your experiences. Wow - 15 minutes for a red light?? That's a LONG time to wait. I know of some people who would explode if they had to wait that long!! Good luck - hope you can get it resolved and go back to enjoying the car.
  15. This was a long time ago. We have since moved. Maybe things have improved but I doubt it. No guns allowed within borders of D.C. (when I was there). It was crazy cause there were PLENTY of guns in that city - just not with law abiding people. At the time D.C. had the highest murder rate in the nation (under Mayor Marion Berry - a piece of work). We never lived in D.C. - we were located just outside Annapolis. There were things about the area we loved, but gun laws and traffic were brutal.
  16. I worked in and around D.C. for almost 10 years. Worked in the nicest parts of town and the worst parts of town (but never after dark and usually asked someone else to come with). One customer (in a bad area) had an entire swat team descend upon the business one morning and a gun fight ensued. The police were taking down drug dealers who were in the adjacent building. Nothing like going to work and being in the middle of a gun fight. My client kept an armed guard on site 24/7. He was the first friend I made! Could I get a carry permit in D.C., MD or VA? No way. They told me to come back after I was the victim of a violent crime and MAYBE I could get a carry permit. Yes - they literally told me to come back after I was raped or shot.
  17. Very sexy. Great pics. Thanks for sharing!
  18. The egear snap will tell you not only remaining clutch life, but also how many launches. I was told by multiple techs launching is very hard on the egear. The LP clutches (2009 and later) have a great life span and I suppose with those miles 40% remaining isn't bad - but I would have figured at least 80,000 miles on an egear LP car. You can't run it to zero (or at least not recommended from what I understand) so remaining clutch life might realistically be closer to 30%. Maybe the car has several launches which shortened clutch life? Or maybe driving style (too much time in reverse or creeping up steep hills, or stop/go traffic?). It's a beautiful spec. Good luck.
  19. Buffalo is so well equipped to handle snow that it takes several feet in a short time to affect how people go about their lives. When we lived in Chicago - more or less the same deal. When we lived in Maryland - OMG - just the uttering the word "snow" on the news sent people scurrying to the grocery store to buy all the bread, milk and toilet paper. It was hilarious. We were in disbelief at first. Businesses closed. Schools closed. Roads were deserted. No one knew how to drive in slippery conditions and it was treacherous (not necessarily from the roadways but from the danger of other drivers). Apparently no one kept more than a two day supply of bread, milk or toilet paper in their house. The funniest part about snow in Maryland was that winters were so mild, even if snow accumulated, usually it was melted within a day or two and often temps would reach 50F, as opposed to Buffalo or Chicago where temps could be well below freezing for days/weeks at a time. We kayaked every New Year's Day for 8 years when we lived in MD (the first time). Had the river to ourselves and it was lovely! Water was cold - had to wear wet suits for safety - but otherwise it was like a spring or fall day.
