Check the carfax. See if it ever resided in Corona Ca. If possible ask dealer questions to see if they know if it was ever in SoCal even if it was titled elsewhere. DISCLAIMER::: I have no idea if it's the car your looking at. Don't want to scare you just know of a damaged black 95 from this area that was titled elsewhere. Tried to buy it a couple years ago but he said someone from up north bought it. I believe the owner of the vehicle was financing or loaning the car to this guy in Corona. Never got a straight story.

One thing I forgot, I give them credit for not being as bad as the state of Ca. They are true extortioners in every sense of the word.

I just finished off paying a large sum to these guys, little over 500k. I called them with the problem they were unaware off, wanted to do the right thing and resolve it, they came in guns ablazing! They were and are ruthless, make accusations and provide no documentation to you only threats. Officer actually told me he had a bet with his superior on whether or not I would make it through the process. The last thing you ever want to hear is "I'm with the government and I'm here to help". You have no friends there unless your connected. They are ruthless, arrogant and uncaring and like to flaunt their power. Maybe this is only true on the lower field agent levels due to having to deal with a lot of aholes, don't know. Anyways now that it's behind me my CPA heard from an agent that they receive "commissions" (for lack of a better word) based on how successful they are. Don't know if it's true.

I can barely hold my breath fo 30secs. I wonder what allows certain people to hold their breath longer than others?

I'm with you PikeMike. All the B.S. about having your fried "do the right thing", what a joke. The mortgage contract is not moral, it's financial. You pay "x" you get to use the property and keep all financial gains if you sell it for more than owed. If you don't pay "x" they take it back. Nobody questions or holds the banks and big corporations responsible for having a "no morale obligation attitude toward their financial responsibilities". Big banks are making millions off the foreclosure crises, all paid with free gifts from the Obama administration, courtesy of middle americas and our children's pocketbook. Your friend needs a savvy financial planner that practices "own nothing, control everything" with regard to assets. (all this being said without knowledge if any other assets are pledged as collateral or how notes are guaranteed)
