  1. Good to know! The book was good, gonna see the movie then. Havent been to the movies in maybe 5-6 years
  2. Does Cannondale make any Mountain Bike models worth looking into? It's hard to find specialized on discount around here. I generally have good luck getting Cannondale deals from REI. Would love a Rock Hopper though.
  3. I need a mountain bike....gotta try mountain biking out one of these days...
  4. Thank You all. Really going to try hard to tackle this problem.
  5. Herniated disc is what my first doctor said. I'm going to try to get an MRI later. No luck today.
  6. Thanks. Currently just laying . Can't even walk. Or stand. very painful. My body can't support my weight. Yes my toes pointed out when I squat. Can't even sit up or move my legs without 10/10 pain. I think for me. I'm going to lay off lower body. Maybe some machines like extensions. Maybe sldl. but really.focus on core. Stretching. Maybe body weight only lower body exercises. Maybe even some PT. From.the pain I'm having. Might be a weak piriformis muscle . Gonna try to focus on that. See what happens once I get better.
  7. In urgent care right now. Went to the gym this AM and my back is killing me. Was squatting super light. Warmed up. Then bam. Sharp pain. Had to drop the weight. Could barley stand Haven't had it looked at since 2011-2012. Getting fed up !
  8. How was this not quoted ? Just reading through an old thread for help myself. Going to see if I can get an MRI soon for my lower back pain. Seems to be getting worse over the years.
  9. I do want to get a trainer to help me with my form. I bet it sucks that's how I got injured. Just need to find a good one. Thanks
  10. Strong bump Or, does a new fitness thread need to be created? I think we have enough fitness enthusiast on the forum to make a fitness thread work.
  11. BUMP Gym time for me in about 30 mins. Tweaked my back squatting, going to try to squat again today. Also, got some gym shoes. Been working out in running shoes. Rebought a pair of jaybirds cause my sweat wrecked my last pair. Doing Squats, bench, over head press, SLDL, barbell rows, curls, donkey calf raises. My goal is to lose 7lbs/month. I want to lose about 60-80lbs. Currently 235lbs. Want to get back to my standard weight of 180lbs, but maybe 160-165lbs . Just hit a milestone birthday, so I'm really thinking about my long term health, more than ever before. I really haven't been in a gym consistently since 2011, since I screwed up my back. Anytime I try to lift, the pain comes back. So, I go on and off, but I'm going to try to make it more of a habit with actual goals. I really miss the gym. The feeling of getting in shape, the social aspect of meeting people/hot girls. Going to warm up really well, stretch, focus strong on core/form . Wish me luck!
  12. I've always been hi protein/high fat. When I have carbs it totally wrecks me. Just wonder if this is bad for me. Maybe I'll throw some complex carbs in once and a while. Totally agree.
  13. Has anyone from LP met wheels in real life? Shit, I'm down for a LP wheels meetup. Count me in. Side note, what's wealth without the health? Any low carb believers? Has anyone gone vegan?
  14. That's exactly what I've been doing. I was only squatting 135lbs when I tweaked something in my back. I'm going to get back at it on Thursday, back should be better by then, but man, I need to see a new Dr. I've had this injury since 2011 and it still hasn't gotten better. Jogging is great. Hard at first, but then your body adjust to it. I'm also a big guy, so I try to cycle or jog on soft surfaces, such as a rubber track or grass. Good shoes are a must. With cycling, yes, it's a lot less body involvement, but man, my legs get huge from cycling. Lots of good mountains around here to keep me fit. Cycling is just too time consuming at times, but I love it. For me, weak core and flexibility seem to be issues. I might try some yoga to help with this. Do you like lifting heavy/lower rep range for a cut or in the lower weight/highier rep range? Maybe both?
  15. I used to weight lift while doing cardio for weight loss on off days. Thinking about just sticking to cardio for this next weight loss goal. Basketball, biking, jogging. Bad idea to cut out the weight lifting? Main thing is, I have a bad back . A lot of the lifts aggrovate it, keeps me out of the gym all together.
  16. Plug it in. Let us know what happens !
  17. Didn't believe this when I read it . Google searched, got this: https://www.soundstagedirect.com/clearaudio...owaAlc4EALw_wcB Wow. WTF
  18. These I put through the ringer and they held up well, on sale also. Loved how I can just come home and hop in the shower with the music still playing. Going to buy another pair. https://slickdeals.net/f/11221215-plantroni...earchBarV2Algo1 I had jaybird freedoms and was not a fan. Although not bad. Costco sells them. I recommend trying them out there if you have a Costco membership. The thing with the jaybirds is my sweat eventually got inside and corroded the inline connector for charging/extra batteries, made them useless. Also, I didn't like the tugging you get with the inline remote while jogging, but that can be minimixed with a nice earbud fit. Battery life was poor, always had to recharge or have an extra battery on me. But will last through a workout no problem.
  19. Anyone interested in migrating to LP 2.0? I will build it if the interest is there.
  20. I like google music because besides the music, you get youtube red (ad free youtube, can download videos for offline), and youtube music, which allows you to download and store youtube songs, create playlists, etc. Youtube music has a fantastic library, you can find many songs on youtube music which are not available on streaming services. The Google music website is also very nice. You can upload whatever physical audio you have to into your music library, which then you can download and stream from your devices.
  21. Check out the entire video . Great interview.
