Here are two back to back 60-130 runs from my Stock 2006 Gallardo (6-Speed manual).

Conditions:

Temp (*F) = 56 Degrees

Humidity = 59%

These runs were performed on a full tank of gas. 2 shifts.

Run #1 - 9.95 seconds. 0.29% incline

Run #2 - 9.92 seconds. 0.15% incline

I'll give it a shot next time I get a chance. Weather is gonna start getting shitty now and there are very few roads around here like the one I ran on (Ocean Pkwy) that are almost completely flat, also 75 miles from where I live.

Nice runs. Under 10 seconds is pretty good for a stock 06 G, better than I expected considering it was run on a very flat road (slight incline) with full tank of gas. I agree with starting in 3rd, if he was shifting like you Allan, but hes getting consistent .2 shifts so its probably going to be a wash. :)

I read a mention of powering the driftbox with a battery? I just ordered one for my Gallardo Spyder. Is there a battery attachment I can also order? I hate having the power cables run to the cigarette jack. Thanks in advance!

There is a method of powering it by battery, but I don't know how reliable it is, and by the looks of the unit, its not exactly designed too well for the unit. I haven't gotten around to buying it because for the price, it's a little ridiculous. You can search VBox Battery and you should come across a UK website that sells them.

Side Note: Are you attending the BullFest?

Yes, I am attending the Bullfest! I look forward to hanging! We plan on driving close to the event the night before and getting a hotel.

just bought a vbox performancebox, for the 60-130 times, do we sit at 60MPH and then start the run, or do we get a running start from any speed?

thx!

No you start @ a lower speed and power right through 60. I usually start around 40mph in 3rd..

I haven't read too much about the box yet, it does tell you when you are @ 60 mph etc? So you don't rely on the speedometer at all right? Does it also tell you wether you are going uphill or downhill?

good!

I Vboxed the 458 this morning.

Ambient was 45 degrees F.

Car had between half and a quarter of a tank of gas.

Summary of best results:

0-60 in 3.3 seconds

0-100 in 6.9 seconds

1/4 mile in 11.2 seconds @ 129 mph

60-130 in 7.7 seconds

I have the .DBN file if VBOX King or Allan want to see it.
