Pokie Report post Posted March 2, 2010 You can briefly hear the engine sound at the following video. It is from the VW Pre-Geneva-Show yesterday and you can skip to 6:05 unless you want to see Justin Timberlake (although you can also see the LP570-4 Superleggera). Enjoy! roguetrader Report post Posted March 2, 2010 Thanks for the pics. I like the "optical illusion" they managed to create with the wheels. Nice to see progress being made towards supercar sustainability.

Pokie Report post Posted March 3, 2010 For some reason I am seeing a bit of influence from Jaguar XJ220 but that is just my opinion.
Juice it Report post Posted March 3, 2010 Sweet car. I hope the production version has a proper top that can be put on. If this has no roof like the Murci roadster it will be a big mistake.
Mako Report post Posted March 3, 2010 I really like it.... is it going to go into production? I read an interesting piece of trivia that Porsche "has never shown a concept car that didn't ultimately make it to production" so they may be more serious than we'd expect. The real question is what would they charge for it?

The real question is what would they charge for it? I'm guessing less than the CGT orig. went for and more than any of their 911 range (GT2 being highest). So between 200-350? Shot in the dark, 275? No way. 400k min. The GT2 is at 200k, this has a race engine and a TON of new tech. 400k min. I really hope they make an "RS" version with no hybrid system or batteries. A straight up RS spyder road car with 500hp 3.4 V8 and about 2800lbs would make me happy. Plus a good ole 6speed.

Spoken like a true enthusiast. While you are at it, hopefully they will have an optional a/c delete It would be kewl, if they would drop the engine in the Cayman S - that would be something . Of course, that will never happen. Most likely, the price will depend, on how many the company plans to produce. It "looks" like a production car. With the hi-rpm limit of the engine, it must be a lot of fun. Porsche is not known, to sell hi-performance sports cars, for a good price. Quite often, the company does not offer value, for the dollar. The company has it figured out to a science, how to charge outrageous prices, for the extra 5/10% in performance options and or colored seat belts. Nice looking car ! plymouth37 Report post Posted March 5, 2010 I bet it will be more than the Carrera GT, probably between $450k and $500, if it ever sees production of course...

DickSimmons Report post Posted March 6, 2010 So what's the deal with the wheels? I really like those spokes, but I don't understand the function of the disc in the center. Can someone photoshop the circular thing out of the wheels? They remind me of the $28.3MM Bugatti upgrade wheels.
