Well he's been doing well for quite some time now, on top of syndication money, and I'm sure he has investments, as well as other revenue, so I'm sure he's set for a while financially. I really think he'll be back with 2 1/2 men, after the network finds new people to fill positions behind the scenes. As someone posted previously, for the network to pay Charlie $1.8 mil, the kid $750k IIRC, and the other guy a mil per episode, they must be making a killing. Money talks, money makes decisions, so I really doubt the network will leave all that money on the table, when a few replacements could fix the issues.

But will the show still be popular with replacements? This seems like a situation where the sum of the parts is greater than the individual values.

Word is he has a show on HBO coming soon, that should be amazing.

I'm waiting for him to get a cameo on entourage :D

thats to be seen, because i would if charlie and chuck (the creator) can't work it out they will replace chuck, even though he may be the more "talented" in relation to the show, then try and maybe it'll still be good and maybe it won't but there is no way they wont give it a try to make it work.

+1. I've only watched the show a few times, but it really isn't a complicated show, so I don't see it being too difficult to fill the void, however Sheen is irreplaceable.

I would love to see him on an episode of Entourage. Sheen shows the crew how it's supposed to be done. Gives Vince something to aspire to be.

If Sheen moves to HBO, what would the show be? Reality TV? Lol.

I can tell you. They want to kill him.

The money that TV show generates its obscene. And CBS is batshit. They do not have the strongest line up and this is one of if not their biggest shows.

I think he really screwed the pooch on this one. He had a cash cow paying him top dollar and he let his crack pipe and his dick fcuk it up. Bad move.

I wonder how the rest of the cast feels about his antics and getting the show cancelled. They obviously arent as loaded and Sheen.

Yeah, he is a sick, selfish, jerk. If he partied like a rockstar during his downtime and lived the life he wanted privately that would be one thing. Screwing it up for his co-workers and more importantly the writers and average joes working in production sucks. He isn't my idol because he isn't in control. He is just a rich junky. If he was a poor junky making the same choices married to your sister you would think he was just an immature asshole.

On a side note, I think it would be really funny if they hired Ozzy to finish out the season. Play exactly the same character and not mention or write any difference. It is only a few episodes... It would also be a nice poke at Chuck.

I agree. I dont really judge him for doing what he wants to do until it starts affecting others around him, like especially his cast mates, who obviously helped the show become a success. His brother on the show (Jon Cryer) is pretty funny and a great actor, and if I remember correctly, the 2nd highest paid cast member after Sheen. IMO, If Sheen has a problem with CBS and the shows creator he should keep it behind the scenes. And everything else he's doing, drugs, parties, whores, booz etc, should remain public :)

but what if his actions get him killed? if he is alive, there is hope to keep the show going after this hissy fit, but if he dies, they are still SOL

That's actually pretty funny!

I have never watched one episode of the show, I think I tried to get through 5 minutes or so when the show first started but I found it to be the same manufactured laugh track bullshit, but I would watch with Ozzy.

now i would like to just inject another perspective into this, he didn't do anything directly to affect other people. If you read the press releases from WB/CBS when this started getting really serious recently and how it came out there was no morality clause in his contract so they couldn't fire him, the studio execs said personally we want him to get better, but work wise he always shows up and does his job hes never a problem there. Now look i understand its more then just that, you can't have someone running around bad mouthing your studios, the show creators, etc. but that being said he never failed on the "work" end of things. So from a money standpoint maybe they shouldn't have shut down production and tried some mediation on the side to figure something out, maybe revise his contract so he can't badmouth the studios/creator, something along those lines.

^ That's kinda what I was thinking... even by shutting down the show, I would assume they are still contractually obligated to pay the salaries of those under contract. He might be an asshole, but it seems like he was holding up his end of the deal.

Disclaimer: Obviously i haven't read the contract so this is just assumption.

The crew that works on the show do not have an employment contract of any kind, plus all the side support businesses are left in the lurch as well. Skilled crew like these guys join a show, but have no security of any kind and it is hard to find another gig with a show up in the air and other shows staffed up. A lot of good talent will seek other employment and with pilot season coming up, there might be some things in the production value of the show that might suffer if they return.

like he said the crew are considered "freelancers" and therefore the studio owes them nothing, they are completely slaves to the whims of the higher ups

Your dealing with a studio, so it is a huge conglomerate. Studios make a ton of their money from advertisers on the their shows. Advertisers don't want to advertise on a show where the main star is publicly saying it's ok to do crack cocaine if you can handle it. Let alone then going off and slamming the studio and execs. They don't give a fcuk about Sheen. What they do give a fcuk about is money and his actions are costing them and everybody involved a lot of money.

I love booze, hooker and porn so I'm vnot judging him. I'm just saying that being in the same business, I can tell you he is not going to win this fight. Lets assume he would have stayed on the show another 2 years, that stupid phone calls end result is a minus $40 million dollars. I don't care who you are, that's a lot of cash to lose just cause you can't keep your private life under wraps.

While i understand the advertising aspect, as of earlier this season it had the second highest ad time, so while the advertisers would have def started to pull out i'm sure it hadn't happened yet (unless of course there is information i'm not privy too), which makes me think its more a long the lines of just overwhelming drama to deal with, which again could have been a Monterrey consideration, but i'm thinking its along the lines of damage control. Super successful tv shows aren't easy to get, i'm sure they will try to preserve & revive it for a fresh new season.

My thoughts exactly... And I haven't a clue what he's worth, but partying like he does costs money, LOTS of money. I don't see anyone hiring him anytime soon either. How long before he's broke? Then what's the dumb fcuk going to do. The porn stars and the coke dealers don't come around when you have no cash. I don't have a problem with anyone partying and having a good time, but you have to have some common sense and do things in moderation.

I really feel sorry for the crew on that show, he really fucked them over bigtime. Jon Cryer and the kid actor, whatever his name is, were making good money, they'll likely be fine, but the crew is really screwed. How many of them will end up on unemployment? How many of them have mortgages they can't pay now? Etc. etc.

Charlie may be a joke on here, a "hero" to some, but he's a fcuking spoiled little brat.

You don't have any fcuking "ME" time with out the dollars CBS has invested in you.

It's his in ability to keep his private life behind closed doors that is his undueing.

He has the money, hire expert security etc.

If he was smart he could bang everything he wants, snort baboon seamen up his nose and no one would ever hear about it. And, he'd still have a job getting paid $26 million a year.

Lots of people in Hollywood "Party".

Charlie Sheen isnt "partying" any more.... Hes trying to kill himself. I dont know why hes trying to kill himself.... Maybe its because his dad was too busy protesting grape production, and bitching about the evil rich to give young Charlie the love and attention he needed.... Either way, the fcuking guy is going to OD... AGAIN... And one of these times hes not going to come out of it.

I don't think there is much left of Charlie's brain to behave 'rationally'. There are some side effects to this partying lifestyle and it is sort of surfacing now :icon_pidu:
