Rumor going around the legal community down here is that Baez has been offered a job at Holland & Knight, one of the most prestigious law firms in the world.

I want the justice system to determine the truth just as much as anyone, but the national media coverage is ridiculous.

It just seems the media picks up on whatever is "in fashion" and runs with it. If it wasn't this one, it would be another one.

 

I was furious watching some show on CNN or something and they nicknamed Casey "Tot Mom", like it's some fcuking movie and they need to come up with a cutesy title for it. It's not enough that a 3 year old is dead and the mom may have done it, they have to come up with a name and sensationalize it more.

 

Next up will be when some guy gets the slut (not my word, that's what her lawyer called her) drunk and destroys her on video and tries to get his 15 minutes.

Perhaps I should have been more specific.... Why was this one covered by the media so heavily? There are hundreds of cases of children being killed by family members every year. What about this one was--for lack of a better term--so "appealing" to the masses?

To sum up the important facts, June 16 of 2008 was the LAST TIME anybody other than casey anthony saw her daughter.... Cindy (grandma) REPEATEDLY called Casey asking where they both were.... Casey was telling grandma that they were at a conference out of town (no such conference) for her job at Universal Studios (no such job), that Caylee was having a great time, that she was being watched by "Zanny the Nanny" (no such person) at the beach and playing with other IMAGINARY CHILDREN. This went on for 30 days.

 

On July 15, Cindy and her husband discovered Caseys car in an impound lot... It had been towed there two weeks before.... They discovered she had stolen some money out of their account. When they opened the trunk of the car they smelled Human Decomposition (Grandpa was a cop- If youve ever smelled this smell, trust me, it smells like NOTHING else, and you never forget it). They had had fcuking enough! Cindy wanted to see her Granddaughter or at least speak to her on the phone. She hunted down the phone number of one of Caseys friends, called her, told her what was up, in no uncertain terms and she lead them to Casey (who had been drinking, partying and boozing it up IN orlando the ENTIRE 30 days)... Cindy asks "Where is my granddaughter?" "With Zanny the Nanny." "Fine. TAKE ME TO HER NOW." "No... Shes sleeping." "TAKE ME TO HER OR IM CALLING THE fcuking COPS.." "No." And Cindy calls the fcuking cops...

 

Casey then tells her mother that Caylee was "kidnapped" by Zanny the Nanny 31 days earlier and that she has been searching for her (apparently she thought the 2 year old was being held at various nightclubs in the Orlando area, because THATS where she was looking). BUT... Caylee is ALIVE! Casey spoke to her THAT MORNING!

 

The police show up and begin looking into her story. They check her job at Universal, namely to talk to coworkers who KNOW "Zanny the Nanny". Oopsie.... They have no record of her working there.... So the police call her down to Universal.... To show them where she works... She begins leading them to her office.

 

She leads them PAST the Guard gate, into an office building, down a hallway, turns around and says "yeah.... I dont work here."

 

As time goes by, it becomes apparent there is NO Zanny the Nanny. NOBODY by the name given exists.... Her kidnapping story changes.... First she dropped the kid of and they dont return her... Then she is held down, beaten up and the child is taken by force.

 

NOBODY in the history of the world has LIED, as much and as well as this woman did.

 

And she becomes an overnight news story.

As it fcuking should be! Hell I personally think the parents of kids who commit heinous crimes should be held responsible. Your kid goes batshit crazy and decides to attack a highschool with automatic weapons, the Parents should be on trial right next to the trigger man. I only have 1 daughter, and as you said, I would do anything in my power to keep her from being in pain. I can't understand the mentality here; my wife and I were talking about this and she said "If Addison had drown in the pool, I would be doing CPR until an EMT had to pry me off of her". This bitch has got to be mentally deranged and at the very least needs to be committed to a mental hospital indefinitely. From what Ive heard, this is the scenario the grandparents BELIEVE happened. However, they beleive that makes it an "accident" and not a crime. (where LEGALLY speaking, its black letter law that that would be MURDER 1)
