You make a post to call out people who assumed and grouped a terrorist attack to AQ, then promtly went and assumed by grouping all Right wing Christians together under the same thinking. Even went as far to predict further attacks by "these people". So by normal intelect that means the terrorist attacks you see you assume "right wing extreamist". Interesting.

Pot meet Kettle.

Not surprised at all - if his Facebook page was real it clearly listed himself as a Christian Conservative. So it's not just Islamists who go batshit crazy. AMP3188 made some good points. Some of the most dangerous people out there are right here in our own backyard. Too much of anything is bad, that goes with any religion or political group.

Just chill out people!

(In the meantime, I'm going to start carrying again. Just waiting for some batshit crazy fundie to go off here in Indy).

You were making it political with your posts. I was aiming at the ignorant fools that blamed Islam.

The terrorist tag attack tag is a very broad stroke therefore inaccurate but we can get to that later. Right now you can answer this.

On actual US territory soil, name the attacks other than 9/11 that have been AQ.

Name actual attacks that have been foreign terror.

Ignore the the hits on US embassies and US Service people*, I am talking about what fits the profile of the kind of attacks in line with what has happened in the Norway.

Statistically the threat of international terrorism is low. Again take 9/11 aside the last couple of major attacks look at the profile of the people behind those attacks.

This sad, needless incident in Norway is a hate act. It does straddle the lines but it is essentially a hate act. Again, look at the profiles of the people behind hate crimes within the actual United States. Describe their profile.

Look at the profile of the person that was executed in Texas this week for a hate act.

With regard to your last comment, check the first couple of pages of this thread and count the mentions of Islam and AQ.

*Attacks on the US embassies in Yemen etc are outside of this type of attack simply because they are not actually on sovereign soil.

The problem is, you are mixing CRIMES with TERRORIST ATTACKS. There is a difference... And people can generally get a feel for which is which in the first few seconds of the event....

What happened in Norway, a BOMBING, followed by an MASS SHOOTING, is an act of TERRORISM. It isn't a crime which is motivated by greed or sudden rage or heat of passion. It was PREMEDITATED MURDER ON A MASS SCALE, DIRECTED AT INNOCENT PEOPLE TO SEND A POLITICAL MESSAGE often because the actor is MENTALLY DERANGED. And... In this day when such and event occurs, its a pretty good bet that Islamic Extremism had something to do with it...

And If you need a list of attacks by AQ or their followers on the U.S. OTHER than 9/11:

*2001 December 22: British citizen and self proclaimed Al Qaeda member Richard Reid attempted to detonate the C-4 explosive PETN concealed in his shoes while on a flight from Paris to Miami. He was subdued by crew and passengers with the plane landing safely in Boston.

The alleged plot was foiled when an undercover law enforcement official was recruited to the homegrown terrorist cell.

*2009 -Little Rock recruiting office shooting took place on June 1, 2009, when Muslim convert Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, aka Carlos Leon Bledsoe, opened fire with a rifle in a drive-by shooting on soldiers in front of a United States military recruiting office in Little Rock, Arkansas, in a jihad attack. He killed Private William Long, and wounded Private Quinton Ezeagwula. This is considered to be a case of homegrown terrorism

Hi, long time no post. Hope you are all well? - I thought I might add this link to you guys, really worth taking a look at. He explain the man quite well.

http://oyvindstrommen.be/2011/07/23/who-is-the-terrorist/

To tell my story; when the bomb went off I was at work about 1,5 k away the blast. The entire building shook and the sound was LOUD. I thought for a second that it could might be scaffolding or something which had collapsed right next to the office building as the noise were quite "metallic". I looked outside but the people there weren't looking in any particular direction which meant that the "thing" couldn't have happened right outside, but it was something that happened some distance away. Subsequently it had to be, due to the loud noise, something BIG!

Later on, around 17:45 lt I was on my way to my gf's parents in Asker, right outside of Oslo in direction to the youth camp. FLYING pass me came, in what seemed to be close to 160-180 kmh, a black g-wagon with sirens. For what I know that was the Oslo police "SWAT" car going to the island. The time seems correct too

Just thought I might share some of my experience too..

I find it weird that minutes after an explosion people go towards the scene to check it out, not thinking about the fact that a 2nd or 3rd bomb could explode or a building collapses.

I in the other hand would find weird if people ran away thinking only about themselves. A second or third bomb exploding at the same place is unlikely, but even if so, a right person does not think about things like this when there are tens or thousands in need of help. Like the guy who risked his life rescuing a dozen of kids with his boat didn't care about being hit by a bullet.

However, the leader of the gov't party on the island was the first one off the island, in a boat, ALONE, now he walks around with his head held high talkin about unity and commitment, that motherfucker should step down and crawl into a hole!

I haven't seen it yet, and I work only 2 minutes away :eusa_think:

Next question then.... (And one the U.S. has NEVER adequately answered about Tim McVeigh) WHERE DID HE LEARN TO TURN AMMONIUM NITRATE AND DIESEL INTO A FUNCTIONING EXPLOSIVE?

This is NOT an easy thing to do... You cant just guess at it....

Download the maniacs manifesto, the psycho explains it in detail in his diary AS he makes it. Completely insane.

He plagerized large parts of it from Ted Kacinski... Both totally INSANE.

“Kaczynski:One of the most widespread manifestations of the craziness of our world is leftism, so a discussion of the psychology of leftism can serve as an introduction to the discussion of the problems of modern society in general.

But what is leftism? During the first half of the 20th century leftism could have been practically identified with socialism. Today the movement is fragmented and it is not clear who can properly be called a leftist. When we speak of leftists in this article we have in mind mainly socialists, collectivists, “politically correct” types, feminists, gay and disability activists, animal rights activists and the like. But not everyone who is associated with one of these movements is a leftist. What we are trying to get at in discussing leftism is not so much a movement or an ideology as a psychological type, or rather a collection of related types. Thus, what we mean by “leftism” will emerge more clearly in the course of our discussion of leftist psychology

Breivik: One of the most widespread manifestations of the craziness of our world is multiculturalism, so a discussion of the psychology of multiculturalists can serve as an introduction to the discussion of the problems of Western Europe in general.

But what is multiculturalism or Cultural Communism? The movement is fragmented and it is not clear who can properly be called a cultural Marxist. When we speak of cultural Marxists in this article we have in mind mainly individuals who support multiculturalism; socialists, collectivists, “politically correct” types, feminists, gay and disability activists, animal rights activists, environmentalists etc. But not everyone who is associated with one of these movements support

multiculturalism. What we are trying to get at in discussing cultural Marxists is not so much a movement or an ideology as a psychological type, or rather a collection of related types”

  • 4 months later...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-15936276

Psychiatrists assessing self-confessed Norwegian mass killer Anders Behring Breivik have concluded that he is suffering from paranoid schizophrenia.

Breivik, 32, is due to stand trial on 16 April for a hearing scheduled to last around 10 weeks.

It is unclear if the conclusions of the report - if approved by the panel - will prevent the trial from going ahead in its current form.

It will almost certainly mean that Breivik is detained into psychiatric care rather than receiving a lengthy jail term.

Looks like no jail time and will instead gets to spend his time in a mental institution where he could theoretically get released if he gets well after being "treated".

He wouldn't last more than ten seconds on the street.

A friend of mine has been both places, and a mental institution is way worse. Prison in Norway is like a vacation.

One of my neighbors is a paranoid schizophrenic.

It's a scary mental illness which really does take control of the person's mind.

It doesn't really matter where he goes as long as he doesn't walk the streets again or pose a danger to anyone ever again. This man is clearly profoundly deranged and extremely dangerous, he will most likely never be released from the mental ward. Schizophrenia isn't something that gets cured or goes away, it can be managed with a lot of medication, but that is pretty much it.
