SV-N-IT Report post Posted June 1, 2013 It's crazy how people die and all friends/family think about sometimes is money. I just had this happen to a good friend of mine with a life ins. policy. This is why proper estate planning is so important..
Modo Report post Posted June 1, 2013 Interesting net worth claim. I hope there's are zeros missing, all this baffonary over $200K?
abolfaz Report post Posted June 1, 2013 Court documents show that he was valued between $100,000 and $200,000. His estate also included two cars, a 1991 Corvette Z and a 1994 Toyota Supra racing car, as well as a collection of firearms. So who owned the CGT? Jagata Report post Posted June 1, 2013 Maybe under something like a family owned corp.
emanon Report post Posted June 1, 2013 So who owned the CGT? He was affiliated with the casino biz and had a corp which owned the cgt, his batshit crazy 996 turbo, and most/all his real estate as far as i know. Disclaimer: I knew him reasonably well, hung out on a regular basis, but it's all hearsay from him with no real proof. His 996 had $200k worth of work at protomotive so not sure how that adds up. A little sketchy to others but he was a decent guy toward me, and I consider him a friend.

A little sketchy to others but he was a decent guy toward me, and I consider him a friend. The CGT was never his. It belongs (still) to someone VR took advantage of, agreed to lease the CGT and never paid for it, forged owners signature on the title which was given to him to pay taxes and register the car in Vegas (which he never did), and there are claims the car was sold to Russia...which have never been substantiated. I won't drag the sellers name into the mud, but the car has been reported stolen and is still missing, for lack of a better description. I have all of the documentation to validate the statements I just made, in fact, I'm still actively looking for the CGT, as is the legal owner of the car. Mind you, VR and owner of the cgt had done business together over the year, in fact VR wrecked ownerd Enzo at one point as well, so there was a level of trust to do the right thing there, but VR opted to take a left turn into screw your friend over land. Happy to answer questions via PM. Complete bs that VR had a corp that owned the cgt. Sorry bud, just not true.

Allan-Herbie Report post Posted June 2, 2013 I never met VR but we would speak on the phone/text often. From our conversations, he was a good guy.. That being said I was warned by everyone to stay far away.
kaoss Report post Posted June 2, 2013 Well damn, that's news to me. But I'm not going to argue about it. How the hell does a cgt go missing? IMHO...fake bills of sale (like the ones provided to us), car put in storage...naturally he wasn't planning on dying suddenly. The car kept moving and bouncing from place to place as many know, by the time we'd catch up with where he was going to be, he'd either be there in something else or we missed him all together. I'll find the car one day...I don't give up.

Camel Toe Juice Report post Posted June 2, 2013 You're a repo guy? I thought the car went to Lebanon? If so, I would have the owner put up a 10k reward for info leading to its location. The internet car community is small, put a vid of the faded tops youtube and facebook I am sure it is bound to pop up. Props to Abolfaz for knowing everything and anything that happens in the exotic car community.

kaoss Report post Posted June 2, 2013 Car isn't in Lebanon or in Russia from what I have been able to verify so far. The owner put up rewards and everything a long time ago...and of course once it came time for the "seller/broker" to provide actual "proof" the car was in Russia...the hand came out for 5k. I have a pretty good idea who has the car and where it is...just working on verification at this point...once I have that, I can get it recovered and back to the owner. DCM Report post Posted June 3, 2013 VR Alexander, Shank, No Mercy (Mana) All of these at one time or another, I looked at as people I would like to emulate in business. Some of whom had even been to my house for BBQs. In retrospect it makes me think of how naive I was. Really make you 2nd guess someone who comes across as a nice guy and suddenly starts throwing around crazy money. These kind of stories really cause me me to approach new people with a sense of trepidation.

Considering what that cars been through and the miles it's got on it, I think I'd of written it off long ago. Wasn't the Enzo VR wrecked the red one that was repaired and repainted black?
