Drove my first Aventador yesterday, not sure why I waited so long. Definitely a hair of lag even in sport especially at lower speeds, at least in the one I tested. Felt like a GT, big heavy and low, beats any G or H hands down in sense of event, probably beats almost anything on the road in that category.

Drove home in the 570, completely different experience, raw and direct, was lots of fun. Ass dyno told me it had to be damn close to the Aventador in quickness, maybe even a little quicker.

So you felt it huh? 570 it's just so much more responsive! Don't get me wrong, the A is majestic and it states "LOOK AT ME", but the feel and the drivability it's just so much less gratifying. I truly hope the A SVR will feel more energetic in comparison to the A LP700!

NOW you see my dilemma :eusa_wall:

Now imagine with faster shifting software, 2.5X the power and a sound that's indescribably good...

Glad to hear that you love it.

I drove the 570 out to dinner last night and again WOW! First gear to second in Corsa at 5500 RPM, BOOM! That clutch shifting, my neck snapping, that sound alone I couldn't help but smile from ear to ear! EVERYTIME!! I love stopping at red lights and stop signs now! Each occurrence is an opportunity for me to feel that first-to-second gear shift!

I do see you BIG dilemma on performance. I strongly believe you'll be disappointed going from a TTG 570 to a normal stock 700.

You can always TT your A!

Two things you'll sense different in an A is its presence does cause an increase in attention and a much smoother ride!

Looks great. Any modifications planned? Maybe some colored calipers?

Just minor cosmetic stuff...MORE carbon fiber!! :icon_super:

Steering wheel

Front bumper center splitter

Door sills

Fabspeed reached out to me this week and offered me an amazing deal for me for their Valvtronic x-pipe exhaust system but I respectfully declined their offer. I want to thank John B again for his kind gesture.

Since this is my transition car, I don't want to put too much money into it. If I decide to keep her, later on, then I may reconsider. To be honest, I really like how she is now.

Silver caliper is not the best color but everything interior has matching silver stitching so I'll keep that as is for now as well.

Someone told me the direct injection introduced in the LP560 was one of the reasons for the quieter exhaust note. I don't know if that's relevant or true.

The direct injection is no the reason for the different exhaust note.

The different exhaust note of the LP5XX engines is due to the 72 degree phased crankshaft compared to the zero phased pre-LP crankshaft.

So the LP5xx engine exhaust, although sounds great with aftermarket exhaust, will never sound like the high pitched F1 note of a pre-LP 5 litre with after market exhaust:(

just my two cents worth,

cheers,

john

Big Congrats on the score! Damn nice car and one of my favorite colors too!

The color works soooo good with the carbon fiber.

I just saw hubby's "lighting package" (LED lights in engine bay and ambient lighting) on his SL...that is pretty cool stuff, and sexy! Andy, if you don't have it, I would look into seeing if you can add it as an option.

This is precisely why I'd still consider an '08 SL with a facelift. You still retain that high pitched sound in the rawness of a Super G, but the exterior re-work would add a nice touch. Or you're a complete crazy man and take an LP570 5.2 out and drop in a 5.0.

I'm actually partial to the latter :icon_mrgreen:

Awesome! Such an amazing car and how fun!

Hey Andy

So now that you've owned the 570 for a while, any further comment

On how it drives compared to your 700?

Thx!

Fun Factor: LP570 Superleggera > LP700 Aventador

EGear Responsiveness: LP570 Superleggera > LP700 Aventador

Crowd Wow Factor: LP570 Superleggera

Corsa Visceral Response: LP570 Superleggera > LP700 Aventador

Smile Frequency: LP570 Superleggera > LP700 Aventador

Money Saving Factor: LP570 Superleggera > LP700 Aventador

Overall Driving Factors: LP570 Superleggera > LP700 Aventador

Overall Satisfaction: LP570 Superleggera > LP700 Aventador

God I hope LP750 will respond and drive better than the LP700 and it'll feel more like the LP570! Many have said it does so we'll see.

Pete, I'd keep your monster LP570. If you can swing it, drive a LP700 at an Esperienza first prior to fully commit to an A. The A looks amazing but drives sluggish.

Damn it this does NOT help my itch for an Aventador or Lambo V12. Thanks for the feedback though.

Andy this is not what I expected to hear, I appreciate the honest feedback!!

I did the Esperienza back in '13 when it was G's and A's. One of the instructors commented that the 570 was the best drivers car Lambo had made to date, his hands down favorite.

I remember liking the 570 better on the track as it felt lighter and more nimble. But the reality is for me that neither will see a road circuit, all street driven which is why I discounted the 570's track favorable experience.

I know the obvious solution is keep what I have and at some point add an Aventador or just be content and forget about getting an A...much easier said than done.

Definitely the A will get looks, but knowing what you have TTG 570, you'll be disappointed in the A drivability and responsiveness. Don't get me wrong, an A is the ultimate flagship but you'll see once you get one and drive it. Having owned both and driven both, LP570 drives better than LP560, LP610, and LP700 in my opinion.

You can maybe just go straight to an ASV coupe....that may satisfy all concerns.
